The Taste of Main is an annual one day event in Old Town Bellevue. Tickets are available online, this year tickets were $ 40, which includes tastes of food and pours of wine. This year the beneficiaries of the event were Detlef Schrempf Foundation and Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue.
Local restaurants, and stores such as Whole Foods, provide lovely small plates/​bites of their food and/​or sweet treats. When I think of a «Bite» or «Taste» event, The Taste of Main hits it exactly right. Bites that are not too big and not too small, perfectly portioned to allow one to enjoy all of the offerings. The local stores host wine makers who offer one ounce or more generous pours of their wine. It is a lovely event that I love attending. My only feedback is regarding the sometimes too cramped spaces in some restaurants or stores that excluded us from being able to visit, even when the event was winding down.
