Tastys T & M’s

Very nice people! Food was plentiful but quality not so good. Coffee took a while to get refilled and pancakes where very battery like when i made some drunk while camping. It was still good, just not great.
I was looking for a breakfast place and this was a good option, but the sign out front was too convoluted with options to discern it was in fact a breakfast place from far away. They could be more clear. The staff was also not present when I walked in and I wasn’t sure that the place was opened as I was the only one in.
When I sat down they turned on a bunch of televisions which all had sound going. Some were slower than others, so it sounded like a carnival in there. One tv sound would’ve been sufficient, but no tv sound would’ve been preferred.
All in all I plan to go back to try there other food. The eggs were scrambled perfect, sausage juicy and coffee good.
It seems like this place has rookie servers, so I’d recommend just beefing up the professionalism.

We swung by Tastys T&Ms yesterday. At first we were the only ones in there & the server was kind & attentive. As more folks came in, she still managed to be really attentive despite being the only one on the floor.
We both had the chicken & waffles. When they arrived, the plates were huge! Two waffles, plus plenty of the most delicious fried chicken I’ve had since moving here from Florida a year ago. The best part? It was only $ 10 & change for the dish! We were extremely pleased for the price and the quality. We will be back.
One thing to note: If you want to tip your server, bring cash! We paid with a credit card (as I rarely carry cash) it did not give us the tipping option as I received my bill. I’m just going to have to tip double when I return next time — which will be very soon.

Wonderful little place! Kind of unassuming hole-​in-​the-​wall spot in the glamorous South Park neighborhood. The interior is a bit dated but is clean, comfortable, and in good shape. The service was good and we were well looked after. The food was simply incredible! The chicken and waffles is everything I hoped it would be and more. The portion sizes are pretty big and it is very well prepared. If you’re on the South end, check them out!

I hate giving anyone a one-​star review because it bugs my conscience even when it’s warranted, so I’m doing this with much hesitation. I was excited about potentially discovering a hidden gem in South Park when we walked into Tastys T&M’s that one morning, but we couldn’t even sit there for more than two minutes. My fiancé started sneezing up a storm immediately after we got seated. It was really dusty. We had to leave. Sorry to say this, but this place needs a little more TLC.
I would love to go back someday because the food looks legit from the Unilocal pictures. I hope the cleanliness issue gets addressed sooner than later. I’ll keep watching the Unilocal reviews.

Chicken and waffles guys and girls. The portion is big. It’s tasty. And the price is fair. Place does look like it’s starting out new. Hopefully the owner makes some improvements to make the place look more appealing. Other then the needed visual improvements, the service was great. The time to receive our food wasn’t long.

Just had the breakfast (served all day!) so far, but it was really good! Definitely home cooked meal written all over it. Want to come back and try more! Also they deliver. What?!

I’ve been looking for a place that did chicken and waffles, as there aren’t very many places in Seattle that does this combo. The chicken and waffles plate came with three amazing drumsticks that were deep fried to perfection, and meat moist and tender. The waffles were soft and had an amazing fluffy, vanilla taste.
The décor of the restaurant is in dire need of some changing, but the food itself is why you would want to go to a dive in the first place. It did take a while for us to get our food, but that wasn’t a huge problem as they have many televisions in the store to keep you occupied.

Everything I ordered was bomb. Definitely craving the chicken and waffles again! it’s also a cute family business, kids learning the value of a dollar working side by side with their parents– love it!

This place is in South Park by my work in south seattle and is worth checking out. The food has great flavor. They give you so much food you don’t know to do. I got the waffle burger witch consists of ¼ pound patties cheese lettuce tomato and special sauce and is served with a hole basket of fires. I could not finish the whole burger I had to take half of it home and most of the fries the restaurant is a casual experience need some work on the interior but all in all this is a good place to eat

We wanted to love you Tastys, we did not. Went for brunch on Sunday and don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon. I appreciate a new local business trying to make it work but there’s a fair amount of room for improvement. It felt like they were not ready to be open.
The Good:
— Local business with no frills
— Appropriate pricing
— While I didn’t order the chicken and waffles, I saw a plate go out to a table and it looked good
— Saw two people get to-​go chicken, seems like they are doing something right on that front
The Bad:
— Potatoes, gravy, chicken fried steak all tasted like they came directly from the bag
— Savory crêpe was not good, super sweet batter like for pancakes
— Menu had too many items, clearly Chicken is your specialty, stay close to that
— Huge T.V.s all over but no music, just weird
— Server was the owner’s (?) daughter. She was sweet and doing her best but not trained. Awesome that she was helping out, but they need a designated server
— Coffee brewed in a Mr. Coffee at the host stand, I kid you not. We waited about 10 minutes for coffee
— It wasn’t dirty, just no love in detailed cleaning of condiments, table tops, etc.
The Ugly:
— Guest next to us complained about the temperature of the coffee, which is not surprising as it was the first cup «sneak a cup» style came from the Mr. Coffee. He walked to the kitchen window and spoke with the owner that was cooking. He asked to have it put in the microwave and the owner/​cook offered to make him an Americano from the espresso machine in the kitchen. I could hear him commenting on the quality of the Americano, which apparently wasn’t much better. Clearly he didn’t enjoy it or finish it. When the bill came both coffee and Americano were on the bill. I heard him trying to reason with the owner (through the pass window to the kitchen) that he didn’t like either. She agreed to take the Americano off the bill but not the coffee saying that «I have to charge you for something.» Judging by his comments to his dining partner, he won’t be back. Amazing that you would choose to lose a customer over a cup of coffee.

This is a new place in South Park, and boy am I happy it’s close. This place is stellar. I ordered the chicken and waffles, a specialty of the house. Let’s start by saying it’s hard to make a waffle bad, and also hard to make it great. It’s kinda like phở, always sitting at a ⁷⁄₁₀ and just good. This place managed to get it to a 10 — not only was the flavor great, but also the waffle had nice deep pockets and stayed warm and just a hint of crunch.
And the fried chicken part of the chicken and waffles? *fans self* I don’t say this lightly — I don’t remember the last time I had chicken this good. Seriously. I received three (!) huge legs, all with great crunch and flavor.
My daughter had the stuffed strawberry waffles — super good, and the strawberries were hot and flavorful. Two thumbs up she says.
I highly recommend this place. Please be patient with service as it is family run, with mom in the kitchen and if busy I can see a possible wait. But relax, enjoy the great coffee, and have a great breakfast.

Chicken and waffles looked delicious, tasted okay. Hot chocolate was awesome. If you’re parking in the rear, you’re in for an off-​roading experience. The interior aesthetics of the restaurant may be a work in progress, but the table service was great, super attentive and accommodating, and the owner is so sweet. I plan to visit again, but I’ll try something else from the menu next time.

The chicken and waffles were delicious. The burgers were HUGE. Country fried steak and eggs were great too. Don’t judge it by the looks just wait until you taste it, you won’t regret it.

An excellent breakfast menu. Had the Vegi Crêpe. It was the best couldn’t eat it all. Fast friendly service. Clean with a family atmosphere.

Food is awesome, but place is closed during open hours and the phone number doesn’t work. Unprofessional on the Managment. If they were not planning on opening today, they should have updated their profile accounts and social media with a notification. I wasted my time driving down there to be disappointed.

So good… truly. I had the ham and chess stuffed waffles, delicious. She had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was incredibly cooked and flavored. The service was great! Way beyond my expectations. Welcome to South Park, we’ll definitely be back!

My friend and I were going to try a place that was 2 doors down but seeing they didn’t allow kids in we couldn’t go. We were walking back to the car when we saw this place and we decided to go in and give it a chance. At first we were a little worried it was going to be average by the appearance. I ordered two bacon cheeseburgers with tots with the total coming under 20 $ which made me happy. When we got our order I open the box and it was HUGE it was one of the biggest burgers I have seen. The awesome waitress told us they just opened and they were going for the big portion, cheap, good food and boy they nailed it. it was the best me and my friend have made this our go to in Seattle I will be back the chicken and waffles looked amazing as well! Good job guys great restaurant.

We have gone for breakfast 4 weekends in a row now. Food is amazing. Can’t decide which is our favorite dish. Chicken and waffles out of this world, portion sizes are big so we always have leftovers and they reheat perfectly. Can’t wait to try lunch and dinner if we can get past our love for their breakfast :)
