Great Vietnamese restaurant on the ave if you are craving phở, banh mi sandwich, or vermicelli. I usually get the banh mi & royal plate if I’m feeling super hungry. The royal plate comes with veggies, meats, shrimp skewer, egg, and rice! It is one of my fave go-to spots on the ave at UW.

My one of the best restaurants! I was unpleasant when I visited other Vietnamese restaurant. Everything is good! Their service is also good.

Always a great option for cheap and delicious phở. Also they have the healthies phở if you like your veggies, order the veggie noodles with tofu. So good! Only complain is that if you go close to closing time, you can start smelling the cleaning sprays as they began to mop the floors while we were still eating.

Love this place. I always come here for phở and banh mi! Their phở is so fresh and non-oily. Great quality phở and grand service. The woman working there is so very sweet. I like the banh mi’s but sometimes they aern’t made fresh and the bread can get a little tough. I’m sure if you ask for a new one they’d be happy to make you one. Anyways, I strongly recommend this place if you are craving phở!

The food here is average. I usually get phở. Just for phở, there are places on the Ave that have better phở than here and for cheaper. But they do have more variety for noodles in general. This restaurant also might be good for if you want more than just phở because they have a big menu for the Ave. I am not super happy with the service though. There is this one time I called the staff for a couple of times. And I thought she did not hear me. Actually she did, but still no response whatsoever until she finishes cleaning her table. I was kind of surprised by her attitude.

A small restaurant with decent food and good customer service. I had Com Xao Hai San, which is a combination of steamed rice with marinated pork chop, shredded pork, egg, fried tofu skin, and veggies. Wasn’t a big fan of the combination but the pork chop was the star of the dish! The place itself is rather small so it gets quite stuffy but the staff was attentive so that’s a plus +

I love the variety here! I’m sure the large and expansive menu can be overwhelming to some, but I really love being able to come here to satisfy any craving I have for my momma’s home cooking. The service is pretty good for an Asian restaurant, also! I love their combo rice platters, vermicelli bowls, bun bo hue(spicy beef noodle soup), and dessert che. I have yet to try their phở as I usually frequent another place on the Ave for that, but I’m looking forward to trying it since it’s my roommate’s favorite place to get phở!

This place was SOGOOD! The food was comforting, healthy, and yummy despite its low price! I came here with a friend after a few final exams in a row and it really helped us fueled slash filled up! I ordered bun! which turned out to be a super wise choice!(Originally i was struggling between bun and phở cause i wanted something hot, but bun was what drove me into this place in the first place so it was a super hard call) Don’t underestimate the bun just because of its looks! There are yummy pickles, super yummy grilled skewers on top of the vermicelli noodles. and the best part — - a thick layer of fresh vegetables underneath the vermicelli noodles! It gave the best of everything! It would have be a lot less tempting without the veggies underneath but then it surprised me by the quality as well as the quantity! Anyway! If you want something light, healthy, and super delicious at a low price, do come by!

Environment: Hole in the wall kind of place. It’s got a slightly«tight» kind of atmosphere. The restaurant is relatively clean and feels pretty«snug.» Quality of food: I love their vermicelli bowl. I got the one with egg rolls and charbroiled pork and it was the bomb dot com. The prices are also really affordable and this place has become one of my favorite phở restaurants on the ave. Quality of service: Slightly above average. I came in at a pretty busy time so it took a while for them to refill waters and give us the bill at the end of the meal. But the waiter was friendly.

Thought this place was so-so. They have more choices than the typical Vietnamese restaurant on the Ave. Their banh mi and phở are alright. One time when I walked by this restaurant, I saw a restaurant employee chase after a couple customers for paying too little in gratuities. Considering that the restaurant is located in a student community and the fact that gratuities are optional to begin with, since when is it a smart business practice to chase after and piss off a customer over a dollar or two of tips?!

Love this place. They have all types of Phở and a bunch of other Vietnamese dishes which is what sets it apart from the other Phở places on the ave. If you are looking for Vermicelli dishes, rice dishes, sandwhiches, salads and other noodle dishes, look no further. The Bahn Mi is soooooooo good!

The staff is nice and the food is great. My husband and I decided to have phở and were researching places to go around the area. This place out of 4 other restaurants were the only places open after 9pm. I got #12 regular and he got N-3, the bun bo hue choice, both of which were good. Their spring rolls needed a bit of kick to them, possibly more flavor because they taste a little on the bland side, other than that it wasn’t bad at all. I also ordered the taro bubble tea which was ok, but needed to be less of ice and more liquid. They have a lot of choices on their menu. The food was delivered fast, I’ll definitely try something different the next time I pop in. Although, it is the u-district so parking can be a challenge at certain times of the day/evening.

Solid, flavorful, and affordable Vietnamese food. Banh mi was quite good. I got the grilled chicken. Not the best I’ve ever had, but decent considering the options in the UDistrict. The people are friendly and the service is quick. Phở was flavorful, light, and had a good amount of meat, veggies, and noodles. It hit the spot on a cold night. Overall, it’s a good place to get a quick meal for reliably good Vietnamese food.

I have a lot of good things to say about this place. 4+/5. Food/everything else 5⁄5 atmosphere 4⁄5. The menu is quite extensive. You should be able to find something you like. They have several varieties of phở, bahn mi, all kinds of rolls, bubble tea, and even curry dishes. The phở is delicious. I usually get the one with the rare beef. The broth is very tasty. I hope to try more of the items, but the phở is so good, I just can’t miss out. Very fast service. I’ve done eat in and take out. The other day(busy Friday night) I ordered online and my food was ready before I could make the 8 minute walk up the hill. They’re also super friendly. Don’t expect anything super fancy, but if you want some cheap, satisfying phở, try this place!

We went here today after two years because we happened to be in the neighborhood. It did not disappoint at all. I got the Royal Plate. The pork chop was beautifully cooked and extremely flavorful. The chicken was delicious but a tad bit dry which is expected when broiled I guess. The shrimp skewer unfortunately was terrible. Dry overcooked shrimp with no seasoning or flavor whatsoever. It was the only component of the dish that I didn’t like. The veggies in the salad are extremely fresh and the vinaigrette on the side is really nice. The rice is just plain and steamed so you can season and sauce it to your preference from the wide options of sauces on each table. I absolutely loved the dish. My wife got the vegetarian phở with tofu and vegetables. The broth was very flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Some places overload it with MSG which was not the case here. The bowl was overfilled with a lot of veggies that were perfectly cooked. The sides of beansprouts and basil unfortunately were really stale so had to skip those. Overall the food was absolutely fantastic, the portions were humongous and the service very quick and friendly. We will definitely be coming back here again more regularly.

This is a strong four. Met up a friend for lunch, who used to live in the U District and used to come here often as her jam. I gauge Vietnamese places, usually, based on the strength of their Bahn Mi and Phở. This place delivers. The Bahn Mi pork was tasty and excellent bread used. Really delicious pickled veggies as well. The Phở was excellent as well. Tasty broth, tender meat, nice noodles. I like the atmosphere as well. Cheap eats and cool kids on every table! I would come again, definitely, if it were not so far out of my way.

The banh xeo here is alright. Very different than what I am used to. I felt it was lacking a bit of flavor. Not enough herbs and the fish sauce was much more mild than I would have liked. I never tried the phở here but my friends say it is good.

My favorite place on the ave to get a bowl of phở because the broth just seems so much more flavorful here and I like the variety of meat cuts(especially the meatballs!) in the combo that I always order. The Regular size is huge and always fills me up but I may or may not have finished the large a few times. Not for the light hearted. The menu is so extensive that phở is only a tiny fraction of the menu. There are tons of rice dishes, other noodles, banh mi sandwiches, and more to try. Service is pretty average but they are usually alright at coming around to at least refill your water. They put cucumber slices in the water if you’re wondering what might be floating around in your glass :) Note for newcomers: it gets warm in here. Even when it’s not that warm on a summer day(like mid 70s) it is quite hot in here. I thought I saw an AC unit but it was definitely not turned on. Perhaps a steaming bowl of phở is not the best choice… but it is sure delicious!

Delicious! Came here for lunch and I got the #18– rice dish with grilled pork, chicken, egg, and shrimp skewer. The meats, especially the grilled pork, were juicy and flavorful, and the dish came with so much food! I had more than enough to take home for an extra meal. My boyfriend had the phở, and he liked it a lot as well. Sipped on a vietnamese iced coffee on the side, which was on point too! I would definitely come back next time I’m in the area and craving Vietnamese food!

Phở Ga: Chicken is in pieces that are easy to eat which is nice! The broth seems to be universal and is incredibly savory! It tastes like a beef broth. Almost too salty but swims well on the palate with the noodles. The taste is cleaner here than other nearby phở. They have a extensive menu, but I didn’t try anything else.
