I just relief I’ve never written a review for this place. Since its just another one of 10000 thai restaurants in the city I won’t go into great detail. However here are some of the highlights: 1. Food not all that great, they seem to fry a lot of stuff and meet ends up being greasy 2. Small portion sizes 3. It’s pricey consider point #1 and #2. I mean if you order curry they actually charge you $ 2 for steamed rice. Who does that ? So if you are thinking about going here I would skip it unless you just can’t think of anywhere else to go.

I really enjoy Thai food and have been wanting to try some of the newer restaurants in the area. Today we decided to try Thaprachan. We arrived basically right when they opened for dinner(5 pm on Sunday). The restaurant only has a few tables, but there are also bar-like counter seats available around the open kitchen. While we were there one other couple came in to dine in, but they were mostly preparing take-out orders. I ordered the«Special Noodles» with tofu at 2 spicy stars($ 9.95), and my partner ordered the«Garlic» entrée with tofu($ 9.95) and a side of rice(this is listed at $ 1 on the online menu, but I think I was charged $ 1.50… though I don’t have the itemized bill anymore to check). We also used the Unilocal check-in offer for a free Thai iced tea. The Special Noodles dish consists of wide noodles with egg, green onions, and cashews, and it is served over a bed of lettuce. Unlike the other noodle dishes, which offer a choice of various meats, veggies or tofu, the Special Noodles are only offered with chicken or tofu. The«Garlic» is broccoli and carrots with your choice of meat or tofu, in a garlic pepper sauce with fried crispy garlic bits on top. The food came out very fast — probably about 5 minutes. I really enjoyed the Special Noodles. I’m not sure what was in the sauce, but it tasted good, and 2 spice stars was about good for me(I could probably have handled 3, but that might have been a bit much). The tofu was golden cubes of deep-fried tofu. The lettuce greens were just iceberg lettuce, but the crunchy lettuce contrasted nicely with the other ingredients. The serving size was pretty generous and I took home leftovers. I ate about ¾ of the portion and probably should have eaten a bit less, but it was so good! I have no complaints about the food, and the service was good, but the overall atmosphere in here felt kind of loud and rushed. I probably won’t dine in here again, but may order takeout in the future.

This is our favorite for Thai food delivery in the area. Amazing flavors in each dish we have tried, especially the trapachan and palace chicken dishes! Service is fast, and our order is always fulfilled accurately(which is very important with delivery!). Definitely recommend.

This place was very good. We walked in and ordered. It was ready in about 5 minutes. We saw the people make it right there fresh. We dug right in it was really good. There Tai ice tea had a great sweat kick to it(if you check in you get one free.) My dad and mom got the soup they got it a 3 of 4 of spicy. They said it was amazing with the spicy kick they got from the spicy taste. I got the noodle dish. The noodles were really soft and with the chicken it was great. I wasn’t even hungry when I came in but I still ate a lot. I would recommend this place for people of all ages.

The food here is consistently delicious! I’ve only ordered take-outs so far so I can’t say much about waited service here, but when it comes to food, they hit the spot every single time. I love their curry fried rice, som tam(papaya salad), and the crispy chicken dishes unseen in other run-of-the-mill Thai restaurants in the area. If you like fish, definitely try the deep-fried whole trout. Yum! Perhaps if you’re looking for super authentic, this place might not be right for you. For me, their food has just the right amount of spices and flavors to satisfy my Thai food cravings from time to time.

The Panang shrimp curry was amazing, paired with the crab wontons! The service and friendliness of the staff is so welcoming and comfortable. Great to wash down with a Thai Tea.

I called in a take-out order for Spicy Noodles with Chicken, 3 out of 4 stars spicy, and the gentleman on the other line was pleasant, asked for my name, and said«Great! Five minutes.» Awesome! Five minutes later I walked though the doors to a very clean restaurant. This place is beautiful and immaculate! We were greeted by a very joyful lady. Our order was already packaged and ready to go. She asked if we wanted utensils. This is a pet peeve of mine — I wish places assumed that I need utensils for take-out. Payment was quick and easy. The dish was $ 9.95, and the total came out to $ 10.91. I thought the dish tasted great. It was very similar to pad kee mao, but with a slightly lighter sauce. 3 out of 4 stars spicy wasn’t overkill. It was pretty oily and the portion was smaller and more expensive than that of Thai places on the Ave which I’m used to. I thought the quality was fine, and I liked that the veggies were fresh. Decent Thai option for the area, but if I were any more south I would stick to the Thai places on the Ave for better value and similar quality.

I eat here every week. I love ordering Special noodle and phad thai. Their peanut sauce is also delicious! This is definitely my favorite thai restaurant in the area.

Food was delicious and space clean. I happened to be the only one in here at 2 in the afternoon, to be expected and was delighted to find this little hidden gem in my neighborhood. As others commented they serve water in cool copper mugs, I photographed, any looks like there is seating for 16 at tables and about 10 at the bar. Come try this place out next time you pass by our are seeking to go food.

After reading all of the reviews, I was extremely excited to try this new joint. My friend and I placed a to-go order for the for the 2 star Palace Chicken and 3 star Phad Kee Mao noodles. We got in the car and our mouths were already watering! As we got home, we tried a bite of our food and were extremely disappointed. The palace chicken tasted like sweet(not sour) chicken, overly cooked vegetables, and lacked any spice at all. The Kee Mao noodles lacked much flavor and was certainly spicier than 3 stars… It was so spicy I couldn’t even eat it! (And trust me, I’m Indian – I’m no pussy when it comes to spice!) Overall, not a good experience. Do yourself a favor and go to Amazing Thai a couple blocks up!

Grabbed some fried rice from here as takeout while in the neighbourhood. Very flavourful stuff, spicy and balanced well. They also had our food ready on time, which was much appreciated!

It’s OK, but I felt Unilocal led me a bit stray. The waitress really pushed the yellow ocean… the flavors are good, but not great. With the kind of recommendation she was pushing, I thought it would be out of this world. And there was not a single soul in the place the whole time I was there(around noon on a Saturday), which meant I got a lot of attention from the waitress asking if the food was good… I didn’t have the heart to tell her that it was not that great. The real kicker is how incredibly expensive it was. I didn’t have any drinks or apps, and the bill came out to $ 20 with tax and tip. Ridiculously bad value. I would definitely not go again.

It’s literally Thai Tom with bigger prices, bigger portions, cleaner spaces, and cool copper mugs. Very recommended, especially if you’re a fan of Thai Tom’s style of food. What is that style? Everything cooked fearlessly on the highest heat, flavors and spice that smash your tongue, and a seriously good time. I won’t pretend it’s cheap, and sometimes the chicken/meat bits are dry because they are prepped well ahead of time(I’d recommend fried tofu). But the flavors are all there. Curry, phenomenal. One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle.

This place had such good reviews, we had high hopes for our hungry tummies. We were so disappointed. The Pad Thai was subpar. The flavor was lacking and all of the noodles were stuck together-like it was from the bottom of the pot. The palace chicken was tasty.

I really like their food. Very, very much. But when I go in hungry and sit attentively at the counter for 20 minutes without so much as a hello or a menu, I leave. There were only 5 customers in the restaurant! Rargh! … Okay, I feel better now. I was hangry.(Ate at Rain City Burgers instead — they’re great!) I’m thinking I could have said something to get their attention, but darn it, I shouldn’t have to.(Changed it from a 1 to a 3.) … Okay, several months later. I’ve been back again several times and they’ve always been great. I think that one night they were swamped with take out orders. Back up to a 5.

A solid 3.5 stars in my books. This is a cool new Thai spot in the Roosevelt area, and I visited this place about a month ago for a friends birthday. Thankfully we were with a large group of people, some of us decided to get an array of 4 dishes so we would be able to try more than one dish. We had the sampler platter, pad see ew, pad thai, panang curry, and the palace chicken. It was great to try all this food, but my favorite would have to be the panang curry and pad kee ew. I know these are pretty much Thai restaurant staples, but the flavors were spot on. I wish I was more impressed by the palace chicken, which I thought I would be because most Unilocalers raved about it. It was essentially slightly fried chicken with a tangy sweet sauce on it. Overall, pretty small restaurant with only a few tables and a bar top; okay ambiance with the kitchen not covered, but fully exposed, but service was great! I’d definitely come back here.

New Thai place that offers a huge range of noodles, curries and regular entrees. Ordered to-go their yellow curry w/chicken(coconut milk, potatoes, onions, peas, carrots) for 9.95 $. I was surprised when picking up the order that it doesn’t come with rice! Apparently you have to order that separately… Despite that though, the flavor was incredible! I ordered it 0 spicy, but the curry still comes with an ever so slight tang that actually was nice. There was ample amounts of onions, peas and carrots as well.

Seriously my new favorite. I honestly think Thaprachan’s Pad Thai is the gold standard. Perfectly balanced flavor that’s been consistent every time I’ve had it. They’re on a 4-star scale here, so I opt for the 4-star chicken. Be warned if you’re not the spice enthusiast that I am – they lean spicy here! Soooo incredibly delicious. I could probably eat here everyday. The ambiance is modern and clean, and they serve water in moscow mule cups which is just the greatest quirk ever. I will say that the pad thai portion is a bit smaller here than most places, but it’s just so damn good that it’s worth it.

I’ve had my fair share of Thai food and I’d say this place is decent. It’s in this cute neighborhood called Roosevelt near Ravenna. New place with a really nice modern feel. They serve water in these cool copper mugs and the food comes out fairly quickly. We ordered the sampler and I had the panang curry with chicken. On a scale of spicyness from 1 – 4, I got a 2 just to test the waters. It was pleasantly spicy. Nothing crazy but the flavors were good and the rice was fresh. The peanut sauce is out of this world good, though. Overall– I’d come here again and try something else.

Stumbled upon Thaprachan one fine evening and found out that one of the head cooks from Thai Tom(47th and University) opened his own restaurant! Their Pad Thai is identical to Thai Tom, but with additional garnishings and a more savory kick to the sauce. Oh, and they take cards. Definitely would be back to sample their new menu items!
