Almost 4 weeks later and it’s growing in like it should. I haven’t had to go back to trim any spots of hair that are sticking out, which is pretty rare for me. Solid cut!

Professional. great cuts and amazing service. While getting groomed you are delighted by soundtrack that plays in the background. I will definatey get my cut hair again.

Good vibes only at the Head Shop. Martin and Roderick are real talented men at their craft. I’ve been getting cut, faded, and cleaned by Martin for 12 years! I’ve always wanted to try new trends and Martin has always been able to pull them off. To mix things up a bit I would see Roderick. You can not go wrong with these guys! Real cool guys and highly recommended. Definitely try them out!
Tip: These guys have a loyal following and have regulars who fill up their schedules consistently. If you’re trying to get in book a week in advance.

Hands down the best barber in town is at The Head Shop. Owner, Martin Horiuchi has been cutting my hair for over 10 years. Ever since my first fade I’ve been hooked and will never go anywhere else. His right hand man Ricky is another barber not to miss. No matter what your style is, from a basic fade to a stylish cut; you’ll always be in good hands at The Head Shop.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Mars for a long time now. He’s always had great service and the freshest fades! The barbers here are always open to new ideas and most certainly have the skill to give you what you want. If you’re looking for barbers who give a shit about their craft, than I highly recommend setting an appointment with either Mars himself or Roderick.

Martin’s fades are the stuff dreams are made of! My only complaint is that I can’t make more time for MORE haircuts! Oh… and Tito!

Roderick at The Head Shop is truly a master of his craft! He cut and styled my hair for the first time this last week. He was extremely helpful from start to finish and transformed my hair into exactly what I was looking for — a classic clean cut with a soft part.
These guys have style, their shop has a nice vibe and good music. I will definitely be coming back to Roderick for my haircuts from now on!

Ricky has teamed up with Martin to offer the best haircuts Seattle has to offer! Ricky always asks for as much input from me as possible to provide a fantastic cut. When I generate some random words about hair — that should make no sense to anyone but me — he is able to turn that into a very clean and stylish cut.
They new space in sodo is gorgeous and has a very open and fresh vibe. Check out the Head Shop, you won’t be disappointed!

O M G this is the place to be! I have been going everywhere for the purrrfect haircut and I finally found it! Its like magic over here, you tell them exactly what you want and it happens! I usually went to very generic hair places and every time I tell them what I want, it just doesn’t turn out right and I pretty much look just like the hair place… generic. BUT at this place I feel like a super star! You know me always trying to holler at the ladies…
Every time I step up in here I am totally hyped up! Makes me want to do my famous «front-​flip-​back-​flip!» Every time I see a hair out of place, I go straight back here because I need to look FRESH to DEATH when I’m partying on capital hill.
The barbers there are legends and they play some jammin’ music. If i wanted to twerk somewhere it would be there, but of course mainly for the haircut. They also shampoo me very good, better than I usually do it to myself in fact. If you want to make the cut, get the cut over here!

Lets just say this place is off the chain! My brother has been going to Martin for awhile now and I was thinking I wanted to change things up so I wanted to try him out too! I go in for a haircut from him. I told him exactly what I wanted and he did it simply and made it look better that I was imagining! He is that pro at giving haircuts! Its literally a clean cut without flaw!
I was originally going somewhere else to get my hair cuts because it was extremely cheap and decent. When I went here for the first time and I just realized I might as well look good every week, than every other week! So now I just love coming here only!
This is now in a brand new building, very clean, wide space. Once in awhile I would try to throw in a little dance moves time to time because I am that pumped up to get a haircut. The people cutting hair there are super nice and chill and they know how to give you a nice cut. Check this place out!

Tip: Be prepared to receive lots of compliments once you leave Martin’s chair.

When I came back to The Town to visit I tracked down my go to barber Roderick who I’ve been getting cut by since Valentines. I was pleasantly surprised to hear he is now paired up with the legend himself who is also, quite simply, an awesome human being — Martin.
Two down to earth, experienced and inventive barbers in a sick shop with dope music and a welcoming atmosphere.
If you want to get a clean, on point cut, there no better spot than this.

I had been cutting my hair for years, and had tried salons and barbers of all prices, sizes, and types, but always left unhappy. The quality of the cut just wasn’t there… jagged edges, crooked or lopsided cuts, you name it and I’ve had to grow my hair back through them all. I didn’t even need to look in the mirror, I could feel how bad the job was. Anyway, I continued to waste hours upon hours of time cutting my own hair…
Then one day, the better half was searching for a hair stylist and she told me that she had found a guy named Martin that everyone was raving about. So I figured, what the hell, I need to stop wasting my time and made an appointment. Fast forward a few years later and I am still a happy customer. It’s nice to just show up and not have to worry about leaving with a messed up haircut.
Martin is a real professional at his craft, and an all around nice guy. Congrats on this new location; the first of many!
Tips:
–He is also a DJ so hit him up to DJ your next event.
–Plenty of parking in the lot.
–Go eat a Costco hotdog/​pizza and buy some gas next door.
–Don’t be a punk and show up late or cancel your appt last minute.

Martin really understands hair and with little direction he tamed my hair. I have really thick and slightly wavy asian hair and finding the perfect haircut has always been hard for me. His new store has a parking lot and is convenient located near the costco in sodo.

Martin is amazing and his new shop is awesome. I won’t go to anyone else.
