I lived at the James for over two years and loved it. It’s an old building, which has a few drawbacks, but overall I found it to be completely charming. The manager is great, the rent is fair, and the location can’t be beat.

Wonderful place to live! The apartment manager, Brian, is responsive and very helpful. The building is charming, the residents are polite and nice, and the management couldn’t be better. I’d live here again in a heartbeat if I find myself in need of an apartment.

My partner and I have lived at the James Apartments in West Seattle for 3 years. Many of the apartments, including my own, have restored wood floors. The building is quite old but stately and well maintained. The manager, Brian, lives on site and makes himself available to tenants through mobile phone and email and quickly responds to tenant requests. The rent is reasonable and includes utilities.
