My partner and I are both vegan, so we were excited to discover«the gorgeous.» It is super delicious, we especially love the pickled onions. Check it out if you enjoy a good veggie sandwich!

I got the meatball sub. Nothing amazing, but checks off everything a meatball sub should be. Generous portions(especially cheese), solid meatballs, good baguette, served hot. Intended to be eaten with a fork and knife. The fact that the meatballs are turkey is a nice touch.

I have come here for many years and always get the Italiano. So good! One of my favorite places to get a sub

Everyone must try the Rajun Cajun! It’s so good, I’ve tried some of the other sandwiches here as well but my favorite so far has been the cajun. This place is pretty casual and has some open seating. I always have leftovers when I eat here so come hungry!

First time visited and of course I had to try their best seller, the Rajun Cajun, so my review is really for that sandwhich and feel of this dive(mean that positively). The sandwhich lives up to the hype most definitely. I can normally eat a footlong for lunch at those other sub shops, but their 7 inch Sammy was just perfect. They also do each Sammy in 14inch or ‘shorties’ for $ 5. Very casual atmosphere and fits right in on Broadway. Will surely come back.

Get the Ragin Cajun on sourdough. Extra toasted. So noms! I go whenever I have a bad day and need comfort food. They also have cute art out the walls.

Was just looking through this week’s Seattle the stranger weekly. In there insert(the sauce) came across a quarter page advertisement for THEOTHERCOSTCAFE. In big block letters it says $ 5 sandwiches everyday all day. Went to there web page. Cheapest sandwich I saw was Damm near $ 8 what gives? Have never stepped foot in this place. And probably never will after what is seemingly a bait and switch. Feel free to enlighten me.

My sister and I ordered a couple of sandwiches here over the weekend. It’s been on my list to try since its close by and I wanted to see how it compared to Honeyhole sandwiches. We ordered the Rajun Cajun and Electric Wizard to share. The Rajun Cajun just like all the other reviews said, is very delicious! It has a sauce that definitely has a kick to it and even though it was almost a little too spicy for me(I have a low tolerance for spice), my sister loved it since she really enjoys spicy food. We both thought the Electric Wizard was a little on the salty side and it was hard for us to finish but it does have ham in it. Overall, delicious warm sandwiches! The only downside is having a limited menu compared to Honeyhole that has a much larger sandwich selection, but still very good!

This place rules. Their food is delicious and I love the«shorty» option for sandwiches. Can’t beat five bucks. I work next door and am new to the area, and the people who work here are super friendly and speedy. It’s nice to pop over and grab a quick bite on a break.

Amazing Reuben. I am not kidding, the best Reuben I had in my life. Toasted Baguette, awesome touch. $ 10+ for 7 inch, I thought it would not fill me up but it did. Great flavors and my tastebuds were happy. My other two friends were not as pleased with their sandwiches. One got the roasted veggie and the other a turkey, they both felt their sandwiches were nothing remarkable. Employees were super friendly and establishment was clean.

These guys & gals are top notch. I’ve not had a rude service person EVER when I go here. Sans snark, you have my heart! They are super neighborhood-oriented, often featuring neighborhood artists on their walls; given the amount of food available, they answer questions and handle customer choice paralysis with deft aplomb. They are also super LGBT friendly! Oh, and I guess I should talk sandwiches: fresh, delicious ingredients in interesting, filling combos. Price matches product. You can’t go wrong with ANY choice here. Seriously…go here now.

I come here for the Electric Wizard sandwich. It’s a hot sandwich, with smoked mozzarella all bubbly and melty, red onion, tomato, ham, and balsamic mayo. I’m sure all the other sandwiches are delicious, but I need this sandwich always! I also love their pickles. They’re huge! I’m not sure if they make them, or who does, but they rock! Service can be a little slow here and there, sometimes theres one person there, like today. Sometimes your buns can be extra toasty, but not always. They’ve never really been burnt, but so crunchy it ruins the roof of my mouth for the day! Anywho, I highly recommend for a tasty sandwich at about $ 10(quite filling), or you can get a shorty for just $ 5!(perfect if you get some sides or go for dessert after)

This was my first time at this location. I got the Roasted Veggie sandwich(Havarti, Eggplant, Zucchini, Onion, Tomato, Pesto) and it was okay. I guess I didn’t love the pesto in the sandwich(not that it wasn’t good pesto, I just didn’t like the combo at the moment). I did taste some of the Electric Wizard and that was pretty good. Also had some of the Ragin Cajun, which my husband loves, and it was okay. I will definitely come back to try other sandwiches, just the one I got was only so-so. Friendly, helpful staff. Sat on the big table in the front with a big group, but otherwise seating for large groups is limited. Bus yourself kind of spot. Mostly clean. Bathroom was non-working, but mostly clean.

Postmates was offering a deal a couple of months back when this location was(I think) first opening up. I got the rajun cajun it was unsurprisingly(read plenty of other reviews) very good. Came with a good level of spice that as a spicy food lover got the job done but didn’t overpower anything. I’d definitely be interested in trying some of their other items, the bread and overall quality of the sandwich was great so I’m sure the others are good as well.

Rajun Cajun is THE sandwich to get here, especially if you’re a first-timer. You can make your way down the sandwich board from there. The toasted baguette holds up nicely to the turkey, tomato, and cajun mayo. BF went with the mantooth, because it was the most similar to an Italian sub. We also tried the potato salad, which was mustard based, rather than the traditional mayo-based. Not my favorite, but it had a good tang. Good service and good sandwiches means I’ll be back.

Solid selection of sandwiches and fast service… come hungry because the best options can be a bit of a gut bomb, in a good way. Ragin’ Cajun is hands down my favorite hot sandwich– the bread is heart to soak up the meat juices and the spicy mayo gives it a good kick which I like. Real good if you add extra hot peppers. Not much for ambiance — simple and no frills so it’s a great place to grab and go.

Damn good sandwiches. My friends ordered some sandwiches and brought them over, so I can’t speak to the establishment, but the sandwiches were tasty. My boyfriend ordered The Bullet(their version of the BLT) and it was exactly want you want in a BLT — crunchy lettuce, wonderfully crispy bacon, and juicy tomatoes. With just a bit of mayo all surrounded by chewy bread? You really couldn’t complain about much; although I will say I couldn’t taste the oil/vinegar that they advertise on the menu… not that I’m complaining. :-) I ordered the Rajun Cajun(Cajun Turkey, Pepper Jack Cheese, Tomato, Onion, with spicy salsa mayo). It was warm, flavorful, and oh-so-delicious. Soul-satisfying. I enjoyed every messy bite. The spicy mayo gave the entire sandwich a nice kick and I can see why it’s their best seller. The Rajun Cajun will be tough to beat but I’m excited to try some of their other menu options.

The other coast café knows how to make a sandwich! Their version of the BLT is called the bullet. It is mighty tasty. Sandwich is put on a baguette roll, mayo with crisped bacon, that they reheat, with hand fulls of lettuce and lastly a mini drizzle or balsamic vinegar and oil. My mouth was drooling over this. I thought the baguette was going to be too crisp and cut apart the inside of my mouth, but it was surprisingly soft/pillowy on the inside while still being crisp and firm on the outside. Okay other coast café, I see you. The rajun cajun holy cow. The spicy mayo sauce they concocted for this sandwich is amazing. It also had turkey, and onions and cheese. Super delicious and easily understandable why it’s their best seller. I am very impressed with this place and can’t wait to come back! I’ve heard rumors that the rajun Cajun is especially delicious the day after. I’ll have to give this a try next time.

My friend & I were walking around Capital Hill looking for a place to grab a bite to eat. Walking pass QFC and decided to come here. I got Hammer and she got the special which was The Dragon-Lip. They were both delicious! The Hammer has Applewood Smoked Ham, Jalapeño & Carrot Giardiniera, Letteuce, Cucumber and Mayo. I must say… It was DELICIOUS! The Dragon-Lip is a hot sandwich that had Polish Sausage, Salami, Mustard, Provolone, Lettuce, Giardiniera and Pepperoni that one was pretty good as well. Both the cashier and the guy that prepared are food were both friendly. I would definitely come back again.
