I don’t live here, but I’ve been visiting regularly. The building is nice enough on the inside, but it’s covered in plastic! If you walk through the courtyard entrance, you have to pass through two port-a-potties that stink in that particularly acrid way in mid-afternoon. Gross. The plastic makes the building ungodly hot. I’m also told by my friend who lives here that they were not informed that this refurbishment was going to happen when they recently moved in! Ugh. The location is really good, though. You’re close to downtown, Capitol Hill and the International District.

The Pointe at First Hill is rather nostalgic for me for the many memories that I made while living there. However, don’t think that is going to stand in the way of my review. The Pointe, offers a rather convenient location for the urbanite and offers some well appointed condos with a decent amenity package at rather reasonable prices. If you work in downtown or in the First Hill neighborhood, the location is very convenient. Located near Harborview and Swedish Hospitals, as well as SeattleU, it offers a convenient option if you happen to work/attend one of those institutions, however there are also a number of bus lines that run frequently to get downtown or the U-District. There are also a number of great eateries, shops, and grocers conveniently located as well as easy access to the I-5 and i-90 freeways. The units themselves are a bit on the smaller side, however they offer good storage options and at the prices, are hard to beat. They are decently appointed with granite counters and many have made lighting and paint upgrades to add their own personal flair. The building offers your standard amenities and is rather secure. It offers an outdoor bbq area which is great to use on a summer day or perhaps use the media room where there is a large screen tv. There is also an gym and an indoor lobby area which are great to have. Living in the building isn’t for everyone of course, it is always about finding your niche. However, the Pointe offers a lot for a variety of personalities and you certainly won’t be disappointed by much.

We’ve been living here for almost two years and I’m loving it. It is close to everything and it’s in a walking distance.
