This place is exceedingly average. I ordered a French dip and it didn’t even come with cheese on it, just meat and bread. They actually warned it up in a toaster oven/microwave contraption. Quick and decent but nothing to write home about.

I got an egg salad sandwich with tons of fresh veggies: tomato, cucumber, sprouts, etc. the potato salad wasn’t the best, but it was fine. very casual place.

I love the sammich tree! Super fast & friendly service. Fresh ingredients. And the baked potato special on Tuesdays & Fridays is my favorite! A great little neighborhood location for sure. Yes, it’s basic sammich fixin’s and yes the atmosphere is a little bland, which isn’t a problem for me as I always get my food to go. But the food is good, the people are very nice and I must stress the service is extremely FAST. I can get in, get my sammich/soup/potato/salad/etc & get out in under 6 minutes flat on any given day. I’ve been(and will continue to be) a long time customer.

This is a sandwich shop with the basics, yet very tasty. Their ingredients are fresh, service is great, and prices are are fair. You won’t find anything you’ve never heard of here, yet has all you’re favorites. BLT, french dip, and Reuben(my favorite). Solid place.

Small family run restaurant in an area that doesn’t get much lunch traffic. Great for that quick bite. Food: They have quite a variety of food from sandwiches, soup to teriyaki. I personally go for the Chicken Salad sandwich that is of a very healthy size and all made to order. It comes with your choice of Macaroni or potato salad. Food is very fast and the people are always friendly. Atmosphere: Not a place where I would have a business lunch since it has that cafeteria style feel. Various tables attached, newspapers laying around for anyone that wants to catchup on the days happenings and a small tv mounted up showing the local news. I’d suggest this place if you’re in the mood for a great sandwich in the area and are burnt out on Subway. I like to support the small local shops and will continue to do so here.

I like this place. They make sandwiches the way I do at home, basic ingredients, but piled on. I generally get the veggie with avo, sometimes add extra cheese or bacon, if I am feeling special. One time I asked for sliced hard boiled egg and the gal looked at me like I was crazy, but she did it. Overall, its not a knock-your-socks-off sandwich, but if you forget to make your own, its a great place to just walk across the street, grab a cheap meal and take it back to your desk. Lastly, I think their little cup of potato salad is fabulous and i hope its homemade, but I don’t dare ask.
This place was horribly disappointing. You know that feeling when your really craving a good sandwich and you finally go and get one, and then you leave just feeling full and completely dissatisfied! Can’t stand being full and dissatisfied. The sandwich is made on the cheapest bread you can buy at the grocery store. The kind of bread I never go near because, well, it SUCKS! The meat is also of the cheapest quality you can get. I was going to order the veggie, as I noticed they didn’t carry quality deli meats such as Boars head, however they didn’t have any mushrooms to put on any of the sandwiches. Basically the veggie is cheese, bread, lettuce, tomato, and sprouts. That’s just crappy. So I opted for the turkey. The lettuce was heavy and not pressed so it protruded out of my cheap cheap bread, which ultimately caused my sandwich to completely rupture in my hands after my first bite. It all continues to go down hill from there. Basically, the place goes to the grocery store and buys the CHEAPEST ingredients and picks up some drinks at Sam’s Club and serves it to you for a hell of lot more than if you went and did it your self! Not to mention, there is no drink fountain, so if you just want free water, your out of luck! You must buy your water! NOT to mention the horrible atmosphere. There was about four people in the late years, just sitting by them selves watching a crappy news channel about some fat girl. It was like being at a retirement home and eating at the cafeteria. Needless to say, I won’t be back, as I thoroughly enjoy eating a good sandwich, not a crappy one.

Convenience is their biggest draw– from what I can tell, the only people who go there are their close neighbors, people who live nearby(like me) and those who work in the same building. Their sandwiches are as good as a basic sandwich can be. The breakfast sandwiches are tasty(and at $ 3.95, probably the best deal on the menu) and the tuna melt was a regular order of mine for awhile. But almost everything is way overpriced and some of the items are downright nasty. I ordered the chicken teriyaki once and literally cringed when I opened the container, as it didn’t even LOOK like chicken teriyaki. I also had the joy of biting into the ceasar salad topped with still-frozen chicken. My point is that the quality can vary from decent to horrible, and while the ladies working there are very nice, I think they get a bit stressed during the lunch hour and that’s when the food can go really downhill. I don’t think I’ve been back since Pita Express opened across the street. Not that I’m avoiding it– like I said, 99.9% of the time my sandwich came out as expected– I just haven’t missed it at all.

Sandwich shop FAIL! Looking foward to trying this place so I drove down here on a Tuesday @ 1 on dec. 28th. Apparently they’re closed from Christmas until after New Years! Wouldn’t expect you to be open on the holidays, or even the eve’s of the holidays, but what restaurant closes for an entire week?! Sorry more like 9 days! I’ll rate it again if I ever make it back here…

Awesome work lunch spot in lower Queen Anne. They have a good selection of sandwiches here. You can also order a half sandwich if you have a smaller appetite. The Sandwich Tree also sells salads and teriyaki. Though it is the sandwiches here that are the stars. I had a half chicken salad sandwich on rye and a cup of split pea and ham soup. Both were tasty and a good deal at under $ 6. In regards to sandwiches, I particularly like the choice of toppings(ala Subway). Overall, this is a good spot to get a weekday lunch for its prices and tasty sandwiches.

I think if I didn’t work in the same building as the Sandwich Tree, I wouldn’t go there nearly as often. But, the ladies there are super nice and make sandwiches beautifully(unlike at Subway, where my sandwiches are haphazardly constructed and occasionally flat-out wrong). For a while, I ordered the same sandwich every time I went, and they remembered my order… until I changed it up. It’s no more fancy than making a sandwich yourself, but somehow it’s more delicious *because* someone else made it for you. Also, it’s pretty reasonably priced and everything is fresh daily, which makes SUCH a difference! I recommend, as a change of pace, the Wednesday taco salad special. Yum!

I used to work above this place so I’d stop in frequently for the English muffin with sausage, egg, and cheese. It’s under $ 3 and it is so much better than McDonald’s. I don’t know why since they use the same fake cheese and greasy sausage patty that other places use but it tastes so good I savor every bite. I also used to order their big honkin’ containers of soup for lunch — cheap and very filling. The sandwiches and salads are also very reasonably priced. And the ladies behind the counter are very efficient! The line can get pretty long some times but the wait is never that bad.

I loooove places like this. You walk in and it reminds you of a hospital lunch room. Tables, chairs, deli counter, tv playing lunchtime news. No fuss, no mess, efficient. You walk through an assembly line to get your food. Soups, salads, soups(hot and cold), snacks and drinks make up the majority of the menu. Good lunch specials too. I had one of the four lunch specials. Ham sandwich with soup for $ 5.99. Can’t beat that!!! Your choice of fresh breads, vegetables, cheese and condiments. A basic sandwich, but done just right and very fresh. I had a cup of the chicken noodle soup, very tasty and very likely it was home made. It was very quick(we were on a time crunch) and the ladies behind the counter were very friendly and seemed to know their regulars and what they order. Overall, a great bang for the buck(or 5 bucks) for fresh, tasty and quick food. I’d go back, bring a friend too. I hear the french dip is awesome. I will let you know next time. Over and out.

I love this place! Working at Isilon I’d walk here every other day to get a french dip sandwich. The employees are all very nice and the ingredients do all taste fresh, as mentioned in another review. The dip tastes great, and after having a few(much more expensive) french dips thinking they’d be similar to these, I’m missing Seattle.

I love their sandwiches for two reasons: 1. All the ingredients taste fresh, like you just made yourself a sandwich at home. 2. Healthier than most other lunch options around this area(…Dick’s/Pagliacci’s anyone?) A short 5 minute walk from my work keeps me going there weekly. And I’ve heard great things about their tuna salad but I’m way too happy with my own boring turkey sandwich to try it yet… stay tuned…

Mediocre. So, really I would give it a 2.5 stars. The sandwich was fine. Which is not high praise in my lexicon. I dunno. I guess I want a lot from my sandwich. This is like that person you would date again if you absolutely had nothing better to do and were bored out of your skull. Which sounds mean now that I write it. I won’t go out of my way to go there again but if I happen to be in the neighborhood, and I happen to be very time crunched and if I happen to be very hungry, I might try them again. That being said, they seemed like very nice people and I had great service. If I worked in the area, I would test ‘em out a bit more probably. Who knows, maybe they have fabulous chicken salad? (But, for me, the bread choices are boring and really, bread is the key ingredient to a sammich.) Again, that being said, they had chips and gum and stuff like that. The dining area looked nice.(I got mine to go.) And they had a couple tables outside(albeit on a busy busy intersection.) And ok, the corned beef was pretty decent. Sometimes places have really gnarly corned beef and theirs was ok. If boring is your thing. This is your place.

I’ve lived across from The Sandwich Tree but never went until yesterday. I had one of their yummy Daily Special Sandwich and soup. It was pretty good. Close to the same hours of the worker bee’s around the area. Open from 7 am to 4 pm and closed weekends.
