The Watchworks

The lady at the front counter was one of the most disrespectful people I have ever encountered. I came to get a watch fixed, and instead got nothing but a negative attitude, to the point where I had to grab my belongs back from her and simply walk out the door. Her condescension and arrogance were awful and I would never recommend that anyone go here for watch repairs.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Walked in and was instantly made aware that I was an annoyance to the lady. I explained I had talked to another woman on the phone about my watch. She replied, «I have no idea what you’re talking about. There’s more than one of us that work here.» I told her I understand and tried to explain my issue. The lady was extremely rude and not interested in helping me. I walked out with my watch. I’ll find someone who wants my business.

They were friendly and fair in pricing. Fixed a band, resized two watches and replaced a battery. All done in 30 minutes. They were great

Came in to get watch battery replaced. Was told it would be 45 minutes, $ 40, and they would change the gaskets and polish the case. «But I really just want to have my the battery changed.» No go. So I suppose my star rating depends on whether you want a place that cares what you want. I did, so walked over to Jerry’s Watch Repair and $ 16 and five minutes later, I had a working watch.

This small watch shop, run by two nice people in a tight space, removed many links from a new watch and changed the battery on another. The entire process took less than 10 minutes all while we carried on with friendly small talk. They were interested in where I came from that day and how I found them (via Unilocal). Quick, reasonably priced, and nice customer service means this will be a place to which I return.
TIP: They aren’t a street level storefront. Instead, head up to the 9^th floor — something I overlooked on my phone when looking it up here.

the WORST. i had called a couple of weeks ago and was told they could take a look at my watch and would do all they can to help. I called again yesterday and confirmed and walked 20 minutes to their ‘shop’…i had seen some of the bad Unilocal reviews especially compared to Jerrys Watch Repair, but decided to be loyal for some reason because i spoke to one of these people on the phone. as soon as i got there Julie had a particularly rude attitude and Karen sat silently and barely responded to my greeting. and then… they quoted me 285 dollars to fix my watch, almost 3 times what i was quoted previously and had thought was too high (and explained to them earlier), she made some snarky comment and aggressively gave my watch back and said ‘sorry…can’t help ya.’ i walked to Jerrys Watch Repair (which i had walked past to go to this place) and he fixed it in 10 minutes for 20 bucks.
nothing worse than people in the services business who are rude and dishonest. i strongly advise against anybody going here.

I’ve been taking my watches to Karen and her staff at The Watchworks for at least 20 years. This is truly a small Watch shop as you would dream about. A small-​town feel in bigger town (city?) I have always been treated with kindness and respect, and they are all very knowledgeable about what to seem to be to me the most impossibly obscure facts. I will take every watch I ever own, and some I don’t, to The Watchworks and will gladly rate them the highest score.possible. Woohoo As Good As It Gets.

They added links to my watch for free and gave my husbands watch an overhaul within 24 hours for a very fair price. Ladies are super friendly and considering they are at a location where parking might be a little bit of a pain, they actually come downstairs to your car to drop off your items. No hassle!!! I will be a customer for life with The watchworks! Thank you ladies!

I just got some work done on my watch, and I highly recommend them!
I needed to get two links removed from a new watch. After trying a place closer to my work – who quoted me $ 25! – I walked the two extra blocks to The Watchworks. In 5 minutes, I was in and out of the door. They quoted me $ 10-​$ 15 and only charged me $ 10. 60% savings, quick work, and great service!
(Though they’re a little hard to find: on the 9^th floor of an older building…)

Brought my Ebel in for a replacement deployment and Karen was able to fix it herself and at a fraction of the cost! I’m so happy to have found a great watch repair shop with a skilled technician close to home! Highly recommended.

The stem in my Movado worked loose and basically was hanging on for dear life. An email to Watchworks and they said bring it in and take a look.
It turned out to be something minor and they fixed it for me without a charge. They just earned my repeat business from now on.

The women who work here are wonderful. They are knowledgable and competent. I felt great honesty and integrity from them — and just all around friendliness. They replaced my battery on my Swiss Army watch and when that didn’t fix it later (it was the movement) were happy to apply the money I had already spent replacing the battery to the cost of the new movement.
They took a look at another Swiss watch I have that was running slowly. They cleaned the inside battery connection for free to give me a little more time before I’d have to have it fixed.
I love working with them and recommend them.

I brought in my Swiss Army watch to replace a broken clasp. They were able to find a replacement clasp; the watch is at least fifteen years old. The watch was fixed within a week. I got a call when it was done and everyone in the office, including the owner, was pleasant and very professional. I plan on returning to The Watchworks to get the watch cleaned and I would recommend this business to my friends.

Battery was dying in a watch that I love wearing; I took it to several places who weren’t able to replace it (it’s sort of a clunky design). Even though it’s not a designer watch, the Watchworks folks were very pleasant and fixed it in the time frame they allotted and for a totally reasonable price. Even cleaned up the face and band before giving it back!

Absolutely horrific service! Sent back a watch for a simple repair and was forced to replace parts that were working… received the watch 3wks later and it was no longer keeping time (initially just couldn’t change the date). sent it back and waited another 3+wks to get it back in working order. had to call the manufacturer myself in order to make sure parts were ordered/​delivered. the owner was obnoxious, unfriendly and consistently changed her story! should have just bought a new watch!
