I enjoyed my time there, had two of their tiki bob drinks that didn’t break the bank and danced the night away. The bar tenders were really nice and the DJ was pretty good. I’d go back and tell friends to check it out.

Came here before a game and had happy hour beers for cheap. Most of the places around the stadium don’t do happy hour on game days. Maybe that has changed because of the M’s poor showings and declining attendance. This is a great place to meet up and drink up before the $ 9 beers in the stadiums.

If you like trash here’s the place to go, Was here for a birthday party… drinks were good, food was good, but atmosphere was totally not my style… do people not have class anymore? Great place for a start… then move on…

It usually takes a lot for me to write a negative review, but with Tiki Bob’s it’s sort of unavoidable. I’ll start off with the positives: their drinks are cheap and strong, and the bartenders are very friendly people. You can definitely get drunk for a good deal there, their happy hour is great. That being said, it’s the kind of place you’d want to start but then move on from once you’ve had your fill of cheap drinks. The place is fairly large, and I’ve been there several times, and not once have I found it beyond half full. It’s awkward. It definitely has a little layer of sleaze too. But hey; it is approaching SoDo, so maybe it can’t help it. Last time I was there, there was a girl in nothing but a pair of booty shorts and body paint on her… upper torso. Ladies, when you dance on the bar or in their stripper-cage-like raised platform, there will be a guaranteed crowd of creeper men watching you. Just know that. But if you like that sort of thing, then Tiki Bob’s is the place for you!

I love this place. First off, for HH, their cheaps are super cheap: $ 5 for an AMF… bomb! It’s big and connected to this other bar, which is amazing. They have a dance floor, and they let you dance on the bar tops! I love it. The bathrooms are nice too. I don’t have much to say except I loved it here and I want to come back and watch football games here. Woohoo!

Cheap, strong drinks, oddball décor, friendly and fun bartenders… do we need anything more? Oh, yeah. The food is really good too! Try the beef tacos, they are excellent. Come here for a happy hour. You will not be disappointed. I sure will be back!

Come here for happy hour, not to go clubbing. I came here for their happy hour and was completely satisfied. Cheap tallboys, $ 3 wells, $ 3.50 pints, and some great happy hour food for $ 2.50(I recommend the BBQ Sliders). Super deals. Although I’m not sure if I could get down with the Tiki Bob crowd on a Friday or Saturday night(people actually go clubbing here? LOL) I could definitely see myself coming by before a game and spending some $$$. Really though… the place is called Tiki Bob’s…that pretty much tells you what you’re getting into.

I’m not gonna lie. I had to update my review because I had a wonderfully crazy night and here is why: 1. We partied like we were in our early 20s and still owned it! 2. The music was pretty awesome and had us dancing all night. 3. Drinks were stiff and cheap(how I like ‘em) 4. Crowd was fun, young, and drunk, as were we. 5. Did I mention I was dee-runk? Came here in search of fun and we certainly found it again. Even brought back memories of my early Tiki days. Glad that I could change my review of this place.

This place is pretty fun. There’s usually a ton of people here on Saturday but Friday is kind of up in the air as far as how many girls show up. If there is ANY kind of event(not including holidays) going on at Tikis it usually becomes a sausage fest. For example if you go when they have jello wrestling, just assume there will be a bunch of guys there. Just saying! One thing I do love are the random baccalaureate parties that roll in. Always a crowd pleaser with their inflatable penis hat or something crazy. Pros: Great DJ, drinks get stiffer as night goes on, bartenders fuckin rock! make sure you tip them good and they will take care of you, great location especially after a football/baseball game, surprisingly they get a decent amount of celebrities to stop by every now and then, Saturday is the best night to go and it’s usually a good 50⁄50 mix in there. Cons: If you want any food you’re pretty much shit out of luck, best bet is to hit up the hot dog cart outside if your stomach can handle it, baseball/football is nice, but not when you’re trying to party and a wave of drunk guys come in after the game, Fridays may not have many people– I’ve been there on a Friday and virtually no one was there except the regulars(I used to be a regular for a while), Parking can suck on event days at Qwest or when the Mariners are playing. Either way, I’d recommend at least trying it out here. Just look through the front window and you will know if it’s poppin or not. Luckily Pioneer Square has quite a few places so if you don’t like it, there’s a lot of other places to have fun at in the area.

I’m reading the Unilocal reviews … Is this a club scene? Really? Seattle, that sucks! How can you club in a tiki themed environment — that’s just tacky! I’m giving the cantina 3 stars. One for cheap beer, keeping us occupied before the baseball game, and the friendly bartenders. I recommend to drop by for cheap beer before you catch a game. SIDENOTE — I honestly recommend the cantina relook at its target audience and their service. What are you? A bar, restaurant, lounge, club, or cantina? Do you know what«cantina» means? Cantina is an Italian term for winery or cellar. «Tiki» definitely does not work with«Cantina.» Just become a sports bar! You are across the street from the stadium and ballpark. Get rid of the Hawaiian décor and add a few flat screens — YOU’RESET.

I love Fridays at Tiki Bob’s. Great DJs(DJ Tamm on Fridays), Knowledgeable Bartenders and best of all… roomy dance floor. I know for most places, a sparse dance floor doesn’t sound that great. But when you go out to dance, a packed floor is NOT conducive to that goal. I gave in only 4 stars, because there seems to be a trend that Tiki’s has jumped on the bandwagon: Silly Girls on the Bar. Really cheapens a fun night.

Listen, as long as you understand what you are in for, Tiki Bob’s is a fun spot. While it isn’t the most trendy place in Seattle, the staff here are awesome! Dominic, one of the bartenders, is truly one of the coolest around and is great to sit at the bar with on slow nights and just shoot the breeze. Other staff members including the two Dans and DJ Tamm are super friendly and always remember their frequent customers. If you see an older gentleman roaming around the bar, it’s most likely Dan, the owner. I was in last night, so I spent some time chatting with him, and realized that he is one of the most down to earth people I’ve ever had the pleasure of chatting with. He took not only the time to say hello, but also ask my opinion on what I thought about the bar. If you get the opportunity to say hello, do it.

$ 9 dollars for a weak-ass grape nehi at a club that was half-empty. Screw this place.

Another hot spot on the pioneer square pub crawl. NOT. I went here for a bacherlorette party. Seriously, i dont know what this girl was thinking. First, we got to cut in line because we had reservations and were with a party. They gave us a bracelet that gave us half price drinks until 11 pm. It was 10:30. So i waited in a 20 minute long line to get two washington apples for 8 dollars. There was a big crowd there that night, but not one hot guy in the whole entire place. I think i had more skanky women hit on me then men. I was just there to have fun and the crowd there was really snotty. AND when i went outside for a quick smoke, i had to wait in a 30 minute line to get back in. Apparently the doorman ddnt remeber us the second time around. BUT they do serve jello shots. which i love. Came once, wont ever come back again.

Well, shit, it says ‘Tiki’ right in the name, doesn’t it? So am I wrong for thinking they should produce a decent mai-tai? I guess the first warning should have been… well, I don’t know, in retrospect there were so many signs I ignored: a. it’s in Pioneer Square b. its cavernous interior is clearly meant to house Spring Break style crowds, yet c. at happy hour on a Friday there were 5 apparent customers, one of whom might have been an employee d. the bartender expressed no solid opinion one way or the other when I asked it they make a mean mai-tai Nonetheless, I had $ 8 in my pocket that had no place better to go and 45 minutes until my train departed. And they had free wi-fi. Boo ya. On the upside, the bartender was very nice and her mai-tai was a full pint and I guess packed a lot of rum, since I started to feel it half-way through. On the downside, it seemed to be made entirely from a pink-ish sugary mix(leaving the glass sticky) and Myers rum. So I couldn’t finish it. Yeah, I left a half an $ 8 cocktail behind. I think that says it all.

So i might be a bit biased on this review because: 1. I was drunk 2. I was really really drunk 3. I thought I was the hottest girl in the bar because of reason 1 and 2. So what is a girl to do, who just recently broke up with her boyfriend? Get drunk and talk to hot guys right? Well, that is exactly what I did. I was suppose to go to trinity with my new roommate, Hannah, but we ended up being part of the pub crawl. Well, one of the destinations was Tiki Bobs, and it was an awesome bar. It’s funny how I can only find this place when I’m slightly(cough cough) inebrieted, but in either case, I always have a good time here. The drinks are strong, I get to dance on the bar, and the crowd is semi-full of good looking individuals. I wouldn’t go here if I was in a relationship, but it is the best place to go if you’re in the break-up stage and looking to p-a-r-t-y. :) So if you’re looking to go because of reason one and two, then go here.

I am giving this place a high review for a few reasons. 1. It is all the things everyone bitches about in their reviews. I love that everyone bitches about how pretty the crowd is not. Go to Belltown then if thats what you want! 2. People go here because they wanna get to do whatever they want… I was 23 – 25 when I went… and I did it! 3. You all puke, you all drool, you are all ugly at one time. Just because the people don’t pretend to be something they are not here(because the«pretty» girls leave when they realize it’s us fun rowdy girls) doesn’t mean it’s all bad. 4. It is for young people and frat boys… but on the nights you just wanna grind with some cute military boy and don’t wanna see him the next day… hey…theres a bar for everything! 5. I love that the same people who complain about the boys wanting to stick their wang in anything that walks… are the same girls wearing the skirts saying stick your wang in me. Give the boys a break for christ’s sake. Tiki Bob’s does not serve martini’s, there are no server’s walking around, and you might end up with someone ugly at the end of the night… but what if this is all some delusional moment and you are really the ugly one? You’ll never know… and you will have missed out on the free shots while you got to dance on the bar! There is always something good about everyplace if you just look at it the right way.

Once again, this was another club on my joint cover tour of pioneer square and in general a total mistake. We thought it might be fun to run by and see how good their rum was but we were disappointed. This place is not just a meat market, it’s the ugliest one in town! Now the tiki theme seems to gather the frat boys, the sorority gals, and the older twenties and early thirties type that can’t give up college atmospheres. You expect that and you deal. But this was just too much. There was a reason the lights are really low, it’s because up close these were some nasty looking people. Aside from the lack of club décor and nothing aesthetic to please your vision, the drinks were weak and the bar tenders were not up to speed on providing beverages. And no room to really mingle near the bar and though they boast the biggest dance floor in the area, I was not impressed. The only saving grace was a few gals were drunk enough to try to dance the pole stages and it was hilarious watching them fall over. They are undergoing remodeling as of Feb. 2006.
