Don’t get me wrong, these guys make some very good food here. It’s just that the service is a little on the slow side. Sometimes they get my order completely wrong too. It’s kind of annoying, but I don’t make too much of it because they are really nice old ladies. I don’t want to mess with someones grandma!
Despite the occasional mix ups, I do go here quite a bit for lunch and dinner. They have a very extensive menu that won’t set you back much in the wallet. I really like their katsudon and that it comes in regular or large size (one or two cutlets).
If you happen to be serving jury duty, this is a great place to spend your long lunches!

Ah so, no body has Unilocal’ed this place yet?!? I mean they have been here for years!
Owned and operated by an actual Japanese family, the old skool standards are done very well here. While you have to step over the bums across the street and watch out for the barf piles, it’s worth stopping by to check out the daily lunch special.
Nice size portions, I mean for lunch, I was stuffed. Service is attentive and the food flavor was rock solid.
I haven’t had sushi here, squid breath doesn’t go well with afternoon meetings…
