Great variety of donuts. Plenty of seating, friendly staff, markdowns before closing!

This location is so close from my office building. I like to enjoy Top Pot donut with coffee in the morning on every Wednesday meeting. My favorite is glazed plain and tradition donut. And raspberry flavor is good ! It is little sweet and not heavy.

Top Pot has ingeniously placed a stop right in the middle of my downtown commute, making them an easy stop when the bus is running late or someone slowed me down on the escalator, causing me to miss the always disruptive King County Metro bus line. After making the mistake of ordering a staff selection for my co-workers(that were perfectly delicious, despite their grumblings), I made a special order that included multiple apple fritters. Normally, I expect to pay more for such decadence, but Top Pots prices for high quality fried dough fails to hurt the wallet as much as you might think. My only complaint was the coffee, which I only ordered one morning because I was lazy and did not make my own. It was not bad, but their donuts are obviously what they are best at doing. I only ordered plain coffee, so perhaps I missed out on something magical from a speciality beverage. It was also so hot I had to switch hands multiple times even with an insulation sleeve. I look forward to more donuts and any new recipes Top Pot comes out with. I’ll probably try an espresso next time.

The Doughnuts here seemed very dry. The creamer was low and it took a while to receive service.

I took the ferry and walked by this joint. Ahhhhhh, says I. look, another overpriced cookie and donut shop! also, there was a sign proclaiming my favorite two things, old fashioned donut with pumpkin glaze! so, being the schmuk I am i said OK, let’s try it. I was charged $ 2.97 for one fucking pumpkin old fashion donut! I told the guy it better have a fucking rainbow shoot out of my ass for that price. I stood there and took a bite. yep! just like the donut from qfc that some added a powdered glaze with a shot of pumpkin flavoring on it. it was dry and really dense. Door stopper kind. I couldn’t eat half of it. I told the guy I wanted my money back. 3 people behind me all gasped. so.to prove my point, I broke the shit show into 3 pieces and offered all 3 a bite! They all had the same reaction I did. a WTF look on their face. They all left except one guy who wanted coffee. management asked me to leave. gee. I can’t figure out why. top pot can kiss my ass. my dog can make a better fucking donut. Seattle food sucks!

The cold brew coffee was pretty darn good. The donuts were not to die for but definitely high quality and delicious. Nice modern spot, too!

My girlfriend is a donut lover, and loves the feather boa donut. She thinks it’s the best donut ever. I think that she ought to know. The coffee is good, and it’s a good ambiance. Donuts are fluffy and not greasy — I even wondered if they were baked. But no… Theyre just delicious donuts.

Starting visiting this location back when it opened hoping that it would find it’s way and become established. Seems like they never have a good selection and are primarily catering to large batch orders from companies in the area. Atmosphere is pretty dull and the workers are rarely friendly or attentive. Too bad this location isn’t more vibrant because I really enjoy Top Pot in general.

Eh … not sure how Top Pot got such rave reviews or awards. This is like a donut I could get at a super market.

Customer service was friendly. Donuts of average size but super size price ranging on the low end at $ 1.29 for plain to $ 2.69 for a Persian. Salted Carmel donut tasted day old. Was expecting more for all the hype about this donut store. On the plus side spotlessly clean lots of seating.

Disappointing donuts. Too sweet, hard, and no real flavor. The only decent one was the blueberry chocolate cake.

This dougnut place is like the downtown hipster Seattle girl that talks a lot of game about having great tastes and being a foodie. But her idea of a «great meal» consists of organic lettuce and local figs served in a recycled jar. With all the fancy«hand forged» signs and all the hipsters going in, I assumed this place would make ridiculous doughnuts. The place looked promising, it looked like a place that didn’t mess around with making doughnuts. It was below average at best. These doughnuts are so dense, it’s like biting into a sponge. Only reason for 1 extra star — at least the cashier was nice when she charged me for this overpriced, disappointing doughnut. I could get a much better dougnut at Tim Hortons for far cheaper. A Timmy Ho’s doughnut tastes fresher, and far less heavy. Sure, it’s less fancy inside Timmy Ho’s, and there aren’t as comfy seating areas. Sure, there aren’t any«hand forged» signs outside Timmy Hos. And Hipsters don’t like it because because there aren’t bookshelves with books(to which they’ll never read), and Timmy’s won’t ever host an «indie poet reading.» But Timmy’s makes better doughnuts and drinks. And the rim on the cup rolls up to sometimes reveal a prize. That’s all that matters. I can’t handle not having Timmy’s here, and having to deal with awful doughnuts, and overpriced drinks in the morning. And cup rims that don’t roll up to reveal prizes. Get your ish together Seattle.

Not impressed. No idea why Seattleites rave about this donut chain. Definitely overrated. Got the old fashioned glazed chocolate cake donut at first. It didn’t have very good flavor. I expected more, but decided to give Top Pot another chance in case their cake donuts aren’t as good as the regular leavened kind. Boy, was I wrong. Barely any raspberry filling and engulfed in tasteless dough. Maybe I’ve blindingly liked top pot donuts back when I tried them at my work since they were free. However, paying $ 5+ for two mediocre-at-best donuts isn’t going to fly.

Way too dense! In my opinion, a good doughnut should be crispy and golden on the outside, and light and soft on the inside. The doughnuts at Top Pot were like bricks. They were almost more dense than brownies. I made the mistake of ordering two(one glazed and one chocolate), but I couldn’t stand to eat more than one. In terms of taste, I wasn’t impressed either. The glaze was cloying(even for a doughnut) and had a weird lemony aftertaste to it. The chocolate icing was way too sweet as well. These doughnuts are not worth getting.

Top Pot Doughnuts is a casualty of two misconceptions. First, anybody can make a decent donut. Second, anything in Washington with«pot» in the name must have weed in it now. Wrong on both fronts. The donuts were average; Safeway quality at twice the price. As for the second issue, no herb to be seen or smelled. I wasn’t looking to wake and bake, but in Washington calling yourself Top Pot anything seems like false advertising. I don’t endorse the pot culture, but if you’re going to run a business in a state where it’s legal then you shouldn’t take advantage of THC addled donut lovers. Top Pot Doughnuts isn’t «Top» of anything, especially not donuts and certainly not pot. If you need a donut(or weed) look elsewhere.

The lady at the coffee machine tried to kill a bug with that thing, where you put the coffee /espresso powder in. Sorry! Absolutely no go!!! How could you?! We already bought a sandwich. Premade. Variety was not good at all. Taste was blend.

Top Pot is close to my work. Before they opened, I wondered how I would make it each day without stopping in for a doughnut. As it turns out, it hasn’t been a problem. The doughnuts are okay. I am disappointed zero baking occurs here. I’m more likely to catch a bus to Belltown to get a fresh one. The coffee is okay. The ice cream is a nice treat because no one else serves ice cream nearby. The space is nice but the entry way is host to a tripping hazard. There is yellow and black tape on it but honestly, I’m not exactly sure why they couldn’t grade that appropriately. Originally, I thought they could use a few more seats but over time, it’s become apparent that they don’t need them.

Highlights: — Top Pot Doughnuts: Oh how I love thee, especially on a cold and drizzly day(Everyday?!) :) — Specialty Cake, old fashioned, feather boa, sprinkles, filled, and rings. So many doughnuts, so many choices, I want them all! — I settled on a raspberry glazed doughnut, which i scarfed down in seconds. Fluffy, sweet, goodness. — Love that they have a bunch of books to buy and other items. It literally looks like a library/café — They also have seasonal doughnuts with unique flavors that they offer(Bummed that most of them were all gone when I came). Improvements: — I also got tea to accompany my doughnut, since I was under the weather. I was sad that they were out of the tea that I wanted to try. Tip: Additional seating upstairs.

3 – 3.5 stars Maybe it’s because the doughnuts I had at 10am weren’t hot and fresh, but I thought they were a bit greasy and just decent.(Could be because I have really good doughnuts in SoCal) Blueberry Cake — 3 stars. Good flavor. Greasy. Not a lot of blueberries. Chewy. No competition for the blueberry doughnuts I’ve had in Orange County, CA. Old fashioned –3 stars. Very fluffy inside like the sales person told us, but it was greasy. In the crunchier parts, you could see the oil hibernating in the dough. I could taste a strong oil taste with each bite which overpowered the sweet taste of the sour cream batter and was quite off-putting. Chocolate Sandcastle –3.5 to 4 stars — best of the bunch. Fluffier and thick. Sweeter than the others due to the cinnamon sugar coating, but it wasn’t overpowering. I would eat this one again. Underwhelmed. Maybe they are only meant to be eaten fresh out of the fryer.

Breakfast of Champions now open on 3rd Ave in downtown Seattle. The store is smaller than some of the other locations, and they are still waiting to add a 2nd register into the mix so the line could get a little long. For the first day though the staff was totally on top of it and dealt with the issues head on. This is a great location for all of the people who work downtown and it should be an instant hit.
