My go-​to tailor. I drive over 45 minutes to take my difficult alterations to this great tailor. Prices are cheaper than most and work is great! He does leave the shop during parts of the day so you need to call first to make sure he is there before you head over. If you are a regular he will work with you on planning your pick up time-​ie. staying late to wait for you or leaving your garments next door. Cash only policy may bother some, but doesn’t bother me given the fair prices he charges.

Kevin is amazing! I just met him today. I leave in 2 days on a trip and needed some of my clothes tailored. He agreed for me to pick up tomorrow evening. So awesome!

I needed to get my prom dress altered but in the end didn’t end up doing business here because taking the dress in and hemming it costed a total of $ 50. I didn’t have that kind of budget to spend on alterations so I asked to just take in the dress and not alter its length. While other tailors would allow me to do this, for some reason Tran said it was a whole package or nothing. That was just completely irksome! I also didn’t like that he was trying to persuade me by saying he «took off tax» when most Asian tailors do this anyway.
In the end, I went to another tailor where both taking in my dress and shortening its length costed a total of $ 35. Plus, she told me that Tran’s markings on the bottom of my dress were actually too high. If I had gone here, I’d have a high-​water dress instead of a floor-​length dress.
So glad I didn’t end up going here.

Very good work, quick, great pricing. However, they are never there. I have attempted to drop in half a dozen times and they are never there. The open sign is on, but they don’t answer and the sign on the door says they will come back if you call, but what they mean is come back when they happen to be there. I want th to be my go to tailor on beacon hill, but that would require some sort of consistent hours

«Open» light on, door locked. Happened two out of the three times I visited. Published hours are not to be followed. Call ahead. Inconsistent pricing — three pants tailored each quoted a variance of $ 2 up/​down.

Kevin is very good at tailoring and altering clothes, jackets, suits and jeans. This is another local business and is located in the Beacon Hill area.
My latest visit I came to him before Christmas and gave him a rush job on a few expensive jeans. Kevin got it done quickly and I was able to pick them up on New Years Day which he took the time to wait for me to pickup. The cost was close to fifty bucks but he does a great job and makes me look good… well worth the money.
I highly recommend him for a good fix up on your clothes.

This place is great! I’ve gotten many pants, shirts, and suits altered and tailored here and it comes out perfect everytime! I’m told its a little expensive here, but i don’t mind paying extra because he gets the job done and he’s a friendly guy.

Fail.
Came here to pick up 5 items that were supposed to be done 5 days ago. Called first, he asked for the ticket number. After 6 times of giving him the ticket number and he got it wrong, I said — I’ll be there in 20 mins., I’m coming from Bellevue.
I arrive 30 mins later, to the door locked. After waiting 2 minutes, he appeared and opened the door.
Guess what?
The items were not ready, and I was 5 days late in picking up the items after the due date.
«Can you come back Tuesday? Or maybe Wednesday better. Come Wednesday I have ready for you.»
I don’t have time for this. If you know it’s going to take 3 – 4 weeks to alter items-​then say so.
I’m pissed.

If you think he’d appreciate you for your return business, you’d be wrong! I’ve brought pants to him this year on at least 7 occasions, and things were okay, but most recently, I’ve been very disappointed! I bring a pair of pants for simple hemming. .. he says come back Monday. I show up Monday — his sign says open, but the sign on the door says he’ll be back, and his cell # is there. I call it — he asks me if I can come back 1.5 hrs. later. No, I can’t, but I’ll return Tuesday. He says okay. I return Tuesday, he can’t find my pants, and turns out he hadn’t even done them! WTF MAN?! Can you come back in 1.5 hrs. No, I can’t! I’ll have to return Wednesday! I show up Wednesday — get my pants — BUT HE STILL CHARGES ME FULL PRICE! Thanks for appreciating all my business up till now by being 2 days late and not even offering anything that might keep me coming back. SO LONG DUDE!

They fixed up my wedding dress very nicely, two endless skirt seams and a lacy bodice. They were honest about what was possible and what was unrealistic, and were patient about explaining the options. They got it done early and called to let me know.
Which means instead of being free, my dress cost all of $ 24. Woohoo!
