They sell all sorts of Asian snacks for cheap! I came here before a Mariners game to pick up a giant 5lb bag of fortune cookies(mostly flattened or just rejects) for less than $ 10! We ate the fortune crackers like chips at the game and it was perfect — delicious and not too bland but doesn’t make you thirsty. We also got to try different flavors in our bag like piña colada and strawberry. I didn’t quite like the piña colada but the latter was almost better than the original. The factory itself stretches across the entire block but the retail store is a small shop on the corner. Overall, it was a great snack for a large group of people, perfect to buy for road trips or camping or community events. I look forward to trying the wonton skins that were also sold at the store.

Although it may look menacing on the outside, the place itself and the services they provide are incredible! I went there a couple days ago to find custom fortune cookies for a prom invitation and they managed to make my idea come completely true. Special shoutout to Brian and the crew behind the fortune cookie making! Emailing was swift as well, so thumbs up to their customer service. Aside from the custom fortune cookies, there is also a huge display of other delicious food items. They sell regular fortune cookies as well as noodles. Never going to forget what this place did for me!

A fortune cookie factory that is just a stone’s throw away from… a food bank for the less fortunate. It was strange. Very strange to arrive here to see a huge line up that starts on the underside of the I5 overpass on Weller Street and runs halfway down the block because of people lining up for the food bank. Original owners are from Toishan, a dialect that I can’t understand. That’s what granny spoke to me with her accent. I couldn’t understand most of it but someone else who spoke it, translated it to standard Canto for me. Anyhoo, I got a few bags. The original flavour. Nothing fancy. That’s all I needed. They’re much, much tastier than anything you can get in Hongcouver. Go figure. The store is old. Four generations old, but they still push out the best cookies I’ve tasted. $ 9.95 for a 5 lb bag of the less fortunate variety. Aka, broken and chipped. $ 3 for 1 lb bag of the regular stuff

What do you need? Fortune cookie, wonton wrappers, chow mein noodle, crispy noodle, udon noodle, rice noodle, chow foon noodle. Special order cookies. The best is the 5lbs. bad of broken cookies. Fresh.

Don’t get confused — they often LOOK like they’re closed because of the bars on the windows, but they’re open most days. The wholesale business entrance is on the corner of King &8th, but the average customer entrance is on Jackson. Tsue Chong is the best place to buy fortune cookies and noodles — they’re cheap and always delicious. They also sell«unfortunate» cookies(the flat ones that didn’t make it) in 5lb bags for a super discounted price. I sometimes pick up a bag and they last as a snack at the office for weeks.

Tastes as good as it smells. Walk by the opened doors of this fortune cookie plant and you will smell the aromatic fragrant scent of fresh ingredients like butter which ultimately end up as fortune cookies. You can ask them for their«unfortunate» cookies(those that broke during manufacturing lol) and take a tour of the plant. They also sell flat/unrolled fortune cookies as well as flavored fortune cookies: vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, lemon, piña colada and cinnamon.

Rose brand all the way! They hands down have the best flat noodles. They have just the right elasticity and flavor. We like to use them in our pad see ew, and other dishes! In addition their fortune cookies are super tasty! Definitely not your average, stale, flexible, sad, fortune cookie you get at the end of your meal. I can eat a whole bag of their flat, «unlucky» cookies! Also a great local business that deserves support!

One of my childhood favorites. I cannot believe I’ve been coming here for almost 30 years(moved away from Seattle as a child, was visiting for the weekend)! My mom was happy to hear they are still going strong as well. The storefront is on the corner of King and 8th(don’t go to the listed Unilocal address since that’s the business side). You can get a giant bag(either 5lbs) for ~$ 7 – 8 of «unfortunately cookies,» which are basically rejects. I got a 1x bag of flat chips for $ 2.25 and they have some smaller bags with fortunes that are sealed and good for sending as gifts/omiyage. You can also get fresh made noodles in the fridge off to the side. While the noodles are also tasty, I am just in awe of how great the cookies are. Cookies-wise, the taste of freshly made original/vanilla fortune cookies is amazing! Their ginger is also great and full of wonderful ginger flavor. Seriously, I cannot recommend trying these enough. After one try, you too may find yourself seeking them out years later. Sometimes the best things really don’t need to change and I’m thankful that these cookies haven’t!

I am not too big on fortune cookies. unless they are from here! YUM! You can literally smell the deliciousness from a few blocks away. I’m like a few of the others. factory field trip, holla! Lol. But that’s when the fandom started for me. I’ve been back often since. not as much since I don’t live in Seattle anymore, but when I visit, you’ll def find me here. The outside doesn’t look like much, but it’s been there forever. The cookies are much cheaper than grocery stores because there is no markup, it’s straight from the factory. The are also very innovative with their flavors, you’ll definitely find something to your liking here.

My favorite fresh, wide rice noodle company! It’s win-win, supporting local business, and getting great products to take home! Although no longer living in the area, I still try to stop into the factory store whenever I happen to be in the International District. There’s nothing fancy at all, just a lot of shelves, a display of assorted flavored fortune cookies in assorted sizes, some fresh noodles in a refrigerated case, and the cashier’s counter. Sometimes the shelves contain more products, sometimes less. The important thing is that they always have what I come in for, their fresh, wide rice noodles, «Sha Ho Fon», precut in ribbons! I get a chance to practice speaking in Toisanese when I ask for the noodles, something I rarely get to do, even though the response is usually in english. The rice noodles are so soft, but not at all mushy, and has just a bit of chewy to it! Family members enjoy them sweet, drizzled with honey; and savory, stir fried with bbq pork and chinese vegetables. An added bonus is that they also make fortune cookies. When the kids were younger, they considered it a great treat to bring bags of fresh, different flavored cookies home, to the suburbs, to shared with friends. My adult daughter chose a 1# bag of plain vanilla to take home today. Tsue Chong Company, thank you for the fun memories! Unilocalers, start your memories!

Who doesn’t love fortune cookies?! I ordered custom fortune cookies a few months back and the service was great! It was super cheap and turned out exactly like how I requested. The person who took my order made sure the text was correct, I was pleased! Also, the cookies were crisp and delicious! Pet peeve of mine: stale fortune cookies with Chinese takeout. So while I was at the store I bought a bag of rejects. Rejected or not, this place makes some good cookies! I took them to work and ate them with jasmine tea, yum yum! They also make fresh noodles, you can get them at various Asian markets! Chow fun for daysssssssss.

Sketchy on the outside, not ever sure if they’re open… Stop by here for fresh chow fun noodles, cut or uncut! Forget going to other Asian groceries in the area, go straight to the source! Cheap, takes card, done and done. You can get standard size packages or the larger 5 pound packs. Personally the regular size packs make it easier to separate the noodles.

My mother took my sister and me here as a treat when we were growing up. Nothing flashy, but it’s not supposed to be. All the love is put into the cookies. Fresh and reasonably priced. Secret Squirrel tip: When the shelves are empty, they may have rice noodles in the back room. Just ask.

Stopped here this morning. The fortune cookies are awesome and taste so fresh. An added bonus is they are cheap. Parking was not a problem, plenty of street parking available. Will be back.

This is the place for fresh fortune cookies, the folded«traditional» ones and flat circular. Tastes amazing fresh(as most things do). The best thing is the FRESH rice ribbon noodles they sell/make. This is my go to place for noodles if its convenient for a quick drop in and out. Love it!

I spend a lot of Saturdays in the International District(ID). On a typical Saturday, I will pack up the family, pay for all day parking in a lot, and walk less than a block away to Tsue Chong. Yes, I make excuses to park nearby, whether it’s the all day parking lot or the 2-hour street parking, I find a reason to get there. No matter what I’m doing in the ID, I always try to steer in that direction. I always try to go to Tsue Chong Co BEFORE I grab my lunch. I have learned that waiting until after lunch will cause any number of things to happen such as: — My parking will run out and I don’t have time to stop. — Everyone else will have gotten there before me and bought EVERYTHING I wanted. — I will look at my watch and see that it is 2:03PM(they close at 2:00PM on Saturdays). I tell you the sins of my soul so that you may avoid my pitfalls and achieve fortune cookie enlightenment. Plus, if you get there in time, not only do you get fantastic fortune cookies, but also great noodles for dinner!

Nobody makes better fortune cookies(it’s an American thing, funny) and rice noodles than the freshest place ever… Tsue Chong!!! Yay! Not only do I love this place, but, well, I love this place! I have been here on a school tour when I was in middle school – or was that elementary school? And we got to see how fresh everything was made. I love it and I appreciate it! I don’t know who the heck invented fortune cookies in America, but they are darn good and these are the BEST. I refuse to eat cookies elsewhere! These also have the best fortunes lol. Their rice noodles are deliciously fresh/warm when they’re made. PERFECT! Just the way rice noodles should be made. They make other noodles too, include the wonton ones I believe. They have minimal hours, I believe 10 – 5 on the weekdays, so make sure you come early. Definitely cheap, and worth every bit of your money. Noodles for a pack are like $ 2 or so. Their bag of fortune cookies are like $ 3… I can’t remember. They also have the messed up fortune cookies for super cheap(a huge bag), like under $ 10 or about so. I’ve never had their other flavors, so I wouldn’t know. But definitely something to keep in mind! Such fresh quality, and fresh all the time and super cheap. yay!

Tsue Chong’s unassuming store front houses a well-known and highly reputable fortune cookie and noodle manufacturer. Plenty of people have given you the gist of the business — the cheap cookies, the seconds, over a dozen types of noodles, etc.; so I will give you my testimonial: My grandmother always used Tsue Chong’s «Rose Brand» noodles for her pansit with great results and I still use them today. As much as I love those noodles, I am even more in love with their chow fun. Go here to buy them because they’re the freshest and they keep them room temperature(which is key). A tip: you usually have to get the chow fun«speakeasy» style by asking for them at the counter. They’re not always on display. Cheap — a pack runs about $ 2. As others wisely note: go early. They close before 3.

Ok I’ve never actually been into this establishment but I am reviewing their noodles I’ve gotten from the Chinese supermarket. I buy their«Gourmet Chinese Noodles» which are awesome. I have a tendency to overcook soup noodles as I run around the house doing other things. You can’t overcook these things. They don’t overabsorb water, they don’t break into tiny little pieces at the smallest prick, they’re not too thin, not too thick and they taste GREAT. I’ll have to come by here(before 2pm… thanks for the tip) to pick up some of their other noodles sometime.(Not a fortune cookie kinda gal.) 4.5 stars

Highly likely you have seen Tsue Chong’s products if you have visited an Asian supermarket. Though they are named Rose Brand. Tsue Chong is essentially a noodle factory and I visited the retail store in which they offer their goods. Prices here are a little cheaper than elsewhere, but not worth it unless you are already in their area as their hours are a bit short as they close at 2 pm. They are not even open on Sundays. In addition to noodles, Tsue Chong is well known for their ubiquitous fortune cookies found all over town at Chinese establishments. Generally, I find fortune cookies to be a bit tacky and untraditional. Though they taste good. I have not visited any places in SF, Vancouver/Richmond or in Hawaii that actually do. Fortune cookies are truly more indicative of Chinese restaurants in the area following what everyone else is doing. Other than fortune cookies, you will find dried noodles in 5 or 10 pound boxes as well as a refrigerator case with stir fried noodles, udon, wonton noodles and wonton/gyoza wrappers. They also offer rice noodles, though it is hard to tell if they have them or not since they do not display it really. Gotta ask I guess. If you are in the area when they are open, Tsue Chong is a great place to pick up some fresh Chinese noodles.
