Our family has been coming to this Tully’s for over five years, and now that we have move away, they’re closed. Go figure. I am trying to finish a few reviews that I started last year and Unilocal keeps telling me to finish this one. Let me say, this Tully’s was probably one of the nices, And, that’s not because we lived nearby. The one in Ballard, next to the movie house is gone too. How sad. I found our various family members went here four or five times a day, Something just to sit back and enjoy the fireplace. One of my favorite things was to stop into Village Books, pick up a new one and come here for a cup of coffee in the late afternoon. So here’s to Tully’s! Gone but nor forgotten!

My dad swears by this place. He walks the dog down there every day and reads the paper. He says the staff are a bunch of sweethearts and it has a much warmer vibe than the SBucks across the street.

I rarely frequent Magnolia and this time I had a mission to try out some spots before my appointment. I had an hour half to kill and all I really wanted was coffee. I stopped in this Tully’s, and I swear I was the youngest person in here… by about 50 years. It was about 4:00pm on a Wednesday afternoon and it was cute to see all these older folks hanging out in a coffee shop as if this is their time to take over and later on college-kids take over. The baristas deserve 10 gold stars! Not only was my Americano delicious, but they were friendly, talkative and very energetic. I loved it!

Desperate tea times call for desperate tea measures. And if you’re desperately in need of some tea, this Tully’s can step in and fill that need. There’s not a lot to say about this outpost of the ubiquitous chain. The space is the same as you’d expect and the offerings are par for the course. The two ladies behind the counter here were chipper, friendly, and on point. Even at a chain, good service matters, so a star for that. My tea served me well.

This coming from a SF, California girl… there IS a coffee shop on every corner in Seattle. Be it Tully’s, Starbucks or a small mom and pop. Amazing! What was unique about Tully’s, they had the most yummy coffee fudge sundae I have had and I would have never guessed from a coffee shop.
