I am never going back to chain quality(Domino’s, Pizza Hut) ever again! You really taste the difference in freshness and the hand-prepared dough here. We got a half Hawaiian(canadian bacon + pineapple) and half Husky(chicken, mushrooms, roasted garlic, tomatoes) 15″ pizza to share for 2 people. The size of the slices and the toppings simply floored us when it was served piping hot to the table. The half with Hawaiian had massive pieces of bacon and ample pineapple to get that sweetness in every bite. The Husky was heavily garlic-y and I wish had less oil pooling on top. The dough was a beautiful thin thin thin all the way around, including the bottom of the pizza. I really appreciated that you can get the most experience of flavors from the toppings that way, rather than simply eating heavy bread. Definitely coming back to try more next time!

Just got a cheese steak here, and turnpike pizza lived up to its Jersey roots. I lived in Philly for years, and these guys would do quite well there.

Awesome pizza! I particularly LOVE the gluten free crust. My aunt is GF, so she frequents this pizzeria. I recommend doing takeout — we sat at a table for 4 and ordered 2 pizzas. They’re huge(which isn’t a problem!) and covered the majority of the small tables. It was hard to see my company and we didn’t have a lot of room for our plates.

Dear Turnpike: I am dining in and was asked if I could get water. Your sign says that to reduce waste, I can buy bottles of water, instead of offering reusable cups. Bottles of water are more wasteful and harmful to the environment. When I asked the man at the counter who I should share my opinion with, he shrugged. I asked if that meant that management didn’t care about customers’ opinions and he replied that he’s heard about cups/bottles so much that he doesn’t care. What a poor representative for your company. I hope this pizza is better than his attitude. I come from the service industry, so this is pretty tough. I ALWAYSTIP, and tonight, I have not.

I had a combo personal pizza that was superb. Washed it down with a Widmer.

Second visit in two days! This is our boys’ favorite pizza place now. They have vegan cheese which is awesome! We usually get half cheese, half mojave with mushrooms instead of chicken, with dairy-free cheese and it’s delicious! We usually call our order in ahead of time and pick it up before heading over to Green Lake across the street for a picnic. Pretty great service, too.

Outstanding service. The gluten-free pizza is great, which I think is not always the case at other places.

Stopped in to try the subs. The guy who greeted me seemed tired but he got my order right. Ordered a turkey and cheddar sub. It was ok but nothing spectacular. Priced nice for the size($ 8) pickles and jalapeños are extra .50 each which is kinda strange but ok I will be back and hopefully boost my review. want to try the pizza .just a OK experience this time but will be back

Went to try out their pizzas. It’s pretty popular place in green Lake. I ordered the 14″ pesto chicken with gluten free crust which came about $ 20. Not bad price and the quality was good, a little blunt for my taste. It only took 10 min to get the pizza. It’s good place to get a take out and go to the park to eat it. Also gluten free for that price — can’t beat that.

Went in to get a slice at 11:30 and the person behind the counter said sorry we don’t have any. I haven’t had a chance to make any. They’ve been open for 30 mins. So we walked down to Zeeks pizza. They had fresh pies ready for slices. Sad that a business is so nonchalant about bad service.

I have eaten here many times over the past 2 years and realized I have never written a review! Anyway, last week we were craving some pizza and I really love the thinner crisp crust of their pizza. I have many a times stopped in for a slice of pepperoni pizza, which is huge and super awesome. This visit we ordered a half & half pizza(which they allow) One half had the Pesto Chicken-Parmesan(plenty of chicken, yummy pest, a really nice combo of ingredients) and half the Meat Lovers Combo. We also decide to order a Calzone to try it out and take the rest home for dinner the next day. We dined in and our pizza was served within about 15 minutes of our order. We started eating the pizza and loved the chicken side. We then went to the meat side and did not realize they had made the wrong pizza on that side… lol but we were very tired that night… so we ate a slice and I asked my honey where is the peperoni and stuff? We realized it was the Meatball pizza… I asked the server about it as I thought maybe I ordered the wrong item, he confirmed that I had not and made us a full pizza of the Meat Lovers to go, complimentary! We were pleasantly surprised and kudo’s to Turnpike for the customer service! That being said, I actually would recommend the Meatball pizza to those of you who like a lighter meat evrsion… it was actually really yummy! The Calzone, well what can I say? other than it is HUGE for the full serving, enough to feed us for 3 – 4 days! It is filled with ingredients which I really loved. You can add ingredients, choose ingredients and such to make it your perfect Calzone. Next time we might order to half… lol The restaurant is clean. It has a pizza sports bar feel with the big screen TV’s. On a sunny day you have a nice view of the lake form a distance. There is free parking below in the garage. They also offer delivery. I definitely have Turnpike at the top of my list for favorite pizza… if you want heavy thick crust pizza though, this is not the place. I shall be back… and they have a nice selection of ales on tap!

Love this place! Beer on tap, scrumptious zaw, giant windows, TV, and style at tossing dough. It’s such a friendly vibe and the workers are so cute. Definitely a return spot for larger get-togethers and whenever you need a slice after a run around beautiful green lake. Highly recommended.

First, I’ll say that this place has great food. Their tap selections on their limited menu were well chosen and their spinach salad was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately that salad took 20 minutes to bring out as did my hot wings. So even if the service was not on the ball, we’ll be back for the food.

How I heard of this place: Walking by on the way to Peet’s to grab a mango tea freddo, we walked by a sign in the window saying«Pizza by the slice» and my friend could not be asuaged. Type of cuisine: Pizza and salad, take out or dine in. Ambiance: Simple, sleek, modern minimalism, stone walls and concrete pillars with black-painted ceilings covering up industrial pipes. Casual setting, where you order at the counter and your slice of pizza, salad and drink are offered to you before you take your seat. What I ordered: I ordered one slice(very large) of New York style pepperoni pizza($ 4). My dining companion ordered one slice of pepperoni and one slice of cheese pizza. What I loved: Having only sampled the pepperoni, I did love the light spiciness of the pepperoni on the perfect amount of cheese — not so much that it follows you with no end as you take a bite; not so little that you can see the sauce and bread beneath. The pizza was just oily enough that it did not dribble down your arm as you lifted the large slice, but just enough to satisfy any fat or grease craving that one may have. Why I loved it: I loved that the pizza — the look, the flavor, the thin-ness — reminded me of the Cicchitti’s pizzas we grew up with in Bellingham. Cost: Average($ 4 per huge slice of pizza)

We order delivery from Turnpike probably 2 – 3 times a month. They are always fast and the food is very good. Whatever problems they seem to have with slices(which I’ve seen on several comments) you certainly don’t experience with their delivery pizza. It’s pretty pricey, that’s true, but when you have a group of people all with different tastes and/or dietary restrictions, this place can cater to everyone. They do forget things a lot(the pesto on the Greenlake shows up about 60% of the time, even when you remind them). But they make good and are very friendly.

I went into Turnpike Pizza during a weekday at around 1:30, looking to get a slice before work, and right away i’m told that slices wont be out for about 10 minutes. OK, i’m killing time before work anyways, so i get a drink and wait the 10 minutes. A couple more people pour in and i’m told 5 more minutes after waiting the 10. That quickly turns into thirty minutes I’ve been waiting and i keep getting brushed off until i finally receive my very mediocre slice. Definitely not worth the wait or price. To bad it’s in such a prime location. I don’t know if maybe it was just an off day, but when i first moved into the Green Lake area, i went seeking the same thing at around four or five, which is guess is when they stop serving sliced and you are only able to get whole pies. Its kind of confusing for a place that advertises on there window that you can buy slices. Anyways, i don’t like giving negative reviews, but both my experiences really turned me off this place. I don’t know if i will be trying them again.

I love there GF, vegan, Greenlak pizza! They know what’s up when it comes to GF. Very friendly service and delivery is super fast. If you are gluten free, you won’t be disappointed. So far this is the best pizza I’ve had.

This place is one of my favorite pizza joints. They are always fast, for hand stretched dough. I wait maybe 15mins max. The fact that most of the ingredients aren’t from a plastic package is great. The servers are very laid back. Be prepared that is semi self-service.

After the Adventure Run hosted by Road Runner Sports, my friends and I came here for dinner. It’s like a semi self-service restaurant. You order, get a number, find a table, they deliver food, and you clean up after. It’s a nice spot to hang out! There are beer, wine, non-alcohol drinks, salad, pizza with different toppings sold either in slices or in whole. Mostly importantly, they have options of vegan and gluten free. For people like me who is transitioning to a vegetarian, this is really nice. My friends and I shared a large half-meat and half cheese pizza. And, of course, I had the cheese part! It was good. It can’t go run to have a piece of pizza with a beer.

This place has really good pizza and an awesome happy hour deal for beer. I’ve also driven by on my way to the lake, but finally came in for a team work outing for dinner. They had the Thursday night game playing and there were plenty of tables around. It was actually pretty empty around 6, but as we migrated over to Zoe’s for dessert, Turnpike got PACKED around 8-ish. We ordered the Green Lake and the Meat Lovers pizza. We demolished the meaty one — naturally. It was really good and the large is really large, but not that large since the five of us only had 3 slices left after killing two large pizzas. The Green Lake tasted really unique too, I don’t think I’ve had anything like it — we opted for no chicken since we had the meaty one. I would recommend the Green Lake since it’s their specialty, I believe. Also, don’t forget that there’s parking in the garage downstairs! My coworkers didn’t know so they went around looking for street parking.
