Union Laundry Mat

This is the second time I’ve used this place, and it’s gone downhill.
This time the washer didn’t seem to fill with enough water, and one of the washers of the same size was a quarter cheaper for some reason?
I tossed my cloths into two dryers to dry for 20 minutes each, when I went to check on them at the end of 20 minutes they were cold, and still wet. So I had to use a different dryer to get them dry, even them some of the towels were still damp so I gave up and just hung them up at home to dry.
I will be using the more expensive laundry mat up the street that’s cleaner, and keeps their washers and dryers in better shape. After spending $ 3 to try to dry my laundry it ended up being more expensive than the other one!
Luckily I only have to go to a laundry mat a few times a year to wash my dogs towels and bedding, since I don’t want all that dog hair to clog up my washer and dryer!

Unfortunately the previous reviews had been posted a good chunk of time ago. I arrived here at 3:00 p.m. on a Wednesday afternoon thinking from previous reviews that there would be an attend here to assist me if needed but there was no employee on premises the whole two or three hours I was here.
The machines are out — dated and in some cases barely working at all. One washing machine I used displayed 41 minutes when I started it but took 80 minutes to complete its cycle. The amount of water fiiling into the machines is far far less than any other establishment I have used before. Some of the dryers wont allow you to use the hottesr setting because the buttons are worn down.
On the upside, when got here I felt like the area might be a bit unsafe, but the people hanging out in and around there were actually pretty nice.
In all, the only positive experience I got here was the conversation with the locals. I give one star for that, and one because the place is fairly priced and because the machines that do work properly work very well.

Zero stars. Does not allow shoe washing.
Open 7 days a week, but what’s the point of you can’t wash all your clothing.

I went to do my annual comforter wash. There was a gentleman working who was extremely helpful. He helped me pick out the best machine for the job, got me quarters, and helped me set-​up the machine. The other patrons were very friendly as well in that they pointed out the best machine. It seems like a neighborhood place which I appreciate.

Needed a Close Laundry mat to clean clothes. Its clean inside and they have lots of washers and dryers. Its reasonable. 4.00 to wash and dry 2 loads of laundry. And they are updating the dryers. Which work great.
Other people cleaning clothes in there are friendly as well. Which is great when you aren’t a local.

BEWARE!!! I went there to wash only an all white Calvin Klein king size comforter. After washing it I placed it in a dryer for about 25 minutes. When I pulled it out it had black ink stains all over both sides. I looked inside dryer to try and find what could have caused this much damage but only found on the floor a cap to a black ink pen. Bingo! There was no proprietor there at the time to show the damages so I called the owner. He said it was not his responsibility to clean the equipment all the time and he was not responsible for my misfortune and therefore he was not going to pay to replace nor did he offer to try and clean it. I asked if he had insurance and he said no. So beware of dirty equipment!!! Also the phone number on the building is a non working number.

Not the greatest laundry mat but it’s just a walk away. Thank goodness for that! They also recently got new dryers. I’m not quite sure how good they are since I use the dryer at my house. There used to be someone here to help but lately I haven’t seen a worker here. Weird.

I’ve very rarely used a laundromat, but I had a volunteer task to wash all the blankets at a yoga studio and I knew it’d take hours at home.

I forgot the dryer prices… I think ~25 cents for 10 minutes, but they took 20 minutes on average.
An attendant is there to make sure that no one messes with your laundry should you leave and go get food /​coffee /​hit the bar. He was friendly and helpful. Soap is free. There are vending machines with drinks and snacks.
Three stars because it’s hard for me to get excited about a laundromat unless it has something unusually useful (free wifi, an attached café with food and drinks) but I suspect the prices here are better than most places.
