Great shop that has anything and everything you could need. The staff are very friendly. I work down the street and love that I can call ahead to order food. The food is GREAT! Love the sweet and sour chicken, yakisoba, and burgers!

Love this place. Better selection than most places — they clearly care about carrying the right/good stuff and it’s cheap! They have a better selection of mexican spices than most big chain groceries, for instance. The thing I LOVE is their beer selection. Cheapest Dale’s Pale Ale from Oskar Blues in Colorado I’ve seen. It’s a balanced, mean, overproof pale ale that half the breweries out there would classify an IPA. It’s delicious and it’s $ 9.19 there(tall boy 24 oz cans too!). Old Chub, a bunch of New Belgium, etc. They have your volume lagers too, and chips & salsa. If they only carried my favorite chips, I wouldn’t have any reason to visit anywhere else for convenience stuff. Nice staff too — seems like a family business. The lady behind the counter talked with me a bit today and was so friendly and interested in what I wanted to see in the store I felt compelled to hop on here and review a bodega… I’d also say that Kim’s review from 2008 isn’t representative of a contemporary experience here. There are still some weird things, but it’s more along the lines of cheap as 12/Seahawks stuff…

I always love this place. Great teriyaki, burgers and Mexican food– they master it all. The owners are so nice and welcoming. Plus they have tons of random household supplies that are convenient for me instead of going to the big grocery store. You must try their food!

This is my neighborhood jam. The teriyaki is awesome, the tacos are awesome(and cheap) and the beer and wine selection is actually pretty decent. On top of all that, they have clothes, various grocery items and pretty much anything else you can think of.

This place is a neighborhood treasure, and a weird vortex of serendipity. If my trip to QFC or Madison Market leaves me with one item unfound, somehow it’s at Union Market. They’ve got a little bit of everything, including fresh-cooked food, a surprising wine selection, Coca-Cola imported from Mexico(which means sugar and not HFCS, which means it tastes the way you remember from your childhood), and a smattering of essential produce. If you live anywhere within ten blocks, it’s where you go when you need an onion, or a beer, or chipotle peppers in adobo sauce.

Update: They now sell teriyaki! It includes vegetarian options. … Our house calls this place«our second pantry». In addition to the usual convenience store items, there’s a wide assortment of odd ones. Native American feather wall hangings! Hoodies, skull caps, and XXL t-shirts with gangsta-esque styles! Bike locks for $ 1! A variety of meat that’s been roasting on the twirly things for god knows how long. Mexican food. A surprisingly reasonable assortment of inexpensive and decent wines. There’s also typically a bunch of people hanging out front who can sell you things that can’t be found legally…
