From the first encounter, the lady behind the counter made sure, by her abrupt and authoritative tone, that you understand she is the one in charge there. Quite rude encounter even with her forced smile and cover-​up nice talk in the end.

Wow, this is the worst customer service I’ve gotten from a government agency in Seattle yet! The DMV is a cakewalk compared to the joy the woman behind the counter seems to take in telling people she can’t begin to process their passport applications, because it is an hour from when the office closes (not making this up) or 10 minutes before the deadline. And she doesn’t say it nicely… literally wagged her finger at me. Could not agree with the Gulag comment more.

A great service for anyone who misses being treated like a prisoner in the Soviet Gulag system. Otherwise, there couldn’t be a more awful example of bureaucratic inefficiency and insensitiveness.
The hours say they are open until 2:00 pm on Saturday, but that is apparently the precise moment that the woman behind the counter turns into a pumpkin, not actually the time at which the public is no longer able to access their «services». So if you arrive, as we did, at 1:30, but due to slow service or people ahead of you getting their 19 children their first passport you do not make it to counter before 2:00 pumpkin time… NO SERVICE FOR YOU, COMRADE!
Today, after waiting for 24 minutes and being told multiple times that we would be the last customer to be helped, the blond woman behind the counter decided that with more than 6 minutes left that the family ahead of us was her last customer. No apology. No empathy. Just «get your stuff and get out». Oh, you can pack up all the stuff and go to 23^rd and Jackson. Or the Sevorstipol Work Camp. YES, CITIZEN CHIEF!
It also doesn’t help that the advice that you get on the State Department website is contradicted by the UNSC. According to the Feds, if you have a passport, a birth certificate is NOT required… but this is not so per the UNSC apparatchiks. You must have birth certificate, and copy of drivers licenses, and blood sample… what…noooo blood sample? 23^rd AND JACKSON FOR YOU!
Take my advice. Avoid this place and save yourself the show trial.

Takes payment for city services, applications for passports that need to be delivered in person, and distributes information about a range of civic opportunities.
It’s is hard to find without the address, but convenient, and the stop we made yesterday to apply for my daughter’s passport was hassle-​free.
