I miss this place! The food is so good and I wish we could find a place just half as good in Snohomish.

The food was supposed to be delivered 1 hour after we ordered. It was over half an hour late, and when it got here it was cold and only had half of what we ordered. When we called to ask where the rest of the food was, they said they could either give us credit or we could wait ANOTHER hour and a half for the food, because they only have ONEDELIVERYGUY. Seeing as I’m only in town for two nights, and waiting 3 hours for dinner is ridiculous, neither of those are an option. The food is sad and soggy, and they didn’t even send napkins. Would never, ever order from this restaurant again. Don’t waste your time.

Awesome. Food is as good as it gets. Management is friendly and helpful. Fred — the bardtender — makes the finest cosmo in Seattle. Highly recommend it!

Chicken and Tofu lunch dishes we ordered were okay. Small lunch menu has good variety. Service was good. Ambiance typical of Chinese restaurant where one can see unknown elements in light fixture cables and HVAC-grills blocking air flow for one to breathe. Sometimes one wonders how does one get away with health department review and approval! Or does health department care? Repeated efforts by Unilocal to reach the owners the response has been negative.

This is not what I would call my «go-to» for chinese food… not even close. I don’t want to bash this place as I know several people who thoroughly enjoy this place… however, I will say that this place is as authentic as it’s Lipton’s tea it serves us. I do enjoy a warm cup of tea, but not when I want jasmine tea or some other kind of tea that resembles Asia… The service is good. They’re friendly and nice, but this is like the«Americanized» Chinese restaurant, where they’re like on the same boat as Panda Express… but I can’t decide which is better. or worse. I ordered the House Fried Rice(9.75) and it was good. Don’t get me wrong, it tasted like fried rice, but it didn’t have that umph that other Chinese restaurants have. It didn’t have that white pepper taste, or that sesame oil flavor that often has small hints in it. It quite frankly just tasted like soy sauce… not that I’m complaining. I also have tried their broccoli beef before, and i will say it was just«meh.» It didn’t blow me away. And their salt and pepper shrimp was just okay too since the coating was too thick, and the flavors just tasted like msg or something. If I am ever desperate for Asian food and can’ go to the International District, than I would settle for this, for sure. It has hints of Chinese food, but nothing like something you’d find in Chinatown. Good service, but also a little overpriced. I saw it was like $ 16.75 for honey walnut prawns. Um, no thanks. Thanks for the experience though! :)

Solid, simple Chinese food. Some may say it’s a little bland or lacking but I appreciate that quality has been consistent.

I have been looking for good Chinese food since coming to Seattle and I’ve finally found it! Last night I was on my way to a meeting and I had about 20 minutes to spare but I was starved. So, I popped into Uptown China Restaurant because the smell wafting down the block was to good to ignore. I ordered the items I judge every Chinese restaurant by, their spring rolls and house rice. Wow! Both were incredible and I am currently eating the leftover rice for lunch because the portion was so big. I have to say I was especially impressed with the spring rolls. They were so crisp and flaky and the flavor was simple but incredible. I will be going here again!

They delivered on time and the food was warm and delicious. Good size portions also. We ordered through Unilocal and i put in a note for no meat and they got it right.

Upon arrival, I was a bit skeptical. The outside has seen better days, old flags, worn siding. Once inside, we were asked to pick a seat. We chose one near the window with a little privacy from the other restaurant goers. Their house red tea is delicious! I had a bit of a cold and it was exactly what the doctor prescribed. A touch of sweet, with a great blend of spicy. The spring rolls were great. Sweet and sour sauce was perfection. The chicken lo mein was a bit disappointing. Overall, I would probably order to go or delivery in the future. Glad to have a decent Chinese place nearby!

I love China Lounge! Fred is an awesome bartender. The owner is an absolute sweetheart. The food here is delicious. Mongolian beef is amazing, as well as the salt and pepper halibut. I definitely recommend this restaurant. I’ve never had a bad experience here. :)

So, I wasted $ 40 fucking dollars on the most bland chinese food of my life. I ordered three things for dinner: 10 ingredient lo mein, broccoli beef, and the dry sauteed string beans. The lo mein was very oily and just barely edible. The broccoli beef was terrible, no flavor. How do you make broccoli beef with no flavor?! I’m not a picky person. I love chinese food from hole-in-the-wall places yet this supposedly«nicer» chinese place had bland food. The dry sauteed string beans was so weird. The sauce on the bottom was oddly acidic. The string beans themselves also sucked they were barely, barely cooked. The chili oil at this place was awful. It had a very, very strong bad smell. Their soy sauce packs are also awful. 0⁄10 I do not reccomend getting take out from here. Do not waste your hard earned money on this place.

Alright… So I came in around 2:30 and right away, it was like I was not welcomed there(maybe because I’m brown and have tattoos? I don’t really know but I heard a joke that ended with«burrito» and everyone laughed in the kitchen). Anyways, the lady in front sat me down and gave me a lunch menu. The prices were a great deal! You get a choice of a soup, egg roll, fried or white rice and your main entrée. BUT let tell me you, the hot and sour soup was awful! And the fried rice! It was so gross and plain. THEWORSTFRIEDRICE I’VEEVERHAD.
Ohh and half way through my meal, the bus lady leaves the bill on the table and walks away but gives the most disgusted face to me before entering the kitchen. Never coming back. Two stars because at least the Mongolian beef was good.

I go to Uptown China a lot with my coworkers since it is only a block away from where I work. Delicious Chinese food! I usually order the Ten Ingredient Lo Mein(has a little bit of every meat), the Curry, or the Beef with Broccoli. They give you a decent amount of food with each entrée I’ve ever gotten so far. So much that I split it into two meals! When you order to go, they also don’t cut out the amount of food they give you compared to if you dined in. If there is ever anything wrong in your order, just let them know and they’ll fix it right away!

Girlfriend was sick and wanted some soup so I placed an order on Eat24. It came very fast and everything was great and tasty except they forgot the soup. I called them back 25 minutes after they had closed and a very nice and apologetic lady answered the phone, said she would be right over and even included some oranges because they are good for sick people. I never write reviews on Unilocal but I really thought it was a nice gesture and good customer service.

We have been ordering from Uptown for years. Our favorite was the Salt and Pepper Chicken Wing appetizer, which often served two of us as a main dinner course. Until today. Instead of the usual succulent, perfectly spiced, simple dish, the wings were smothered with super hot red peppers which masked all other flavors and made the dish inedible. Unfortunately, this means we will no longer be ordering from Uptown, which is a pity, because they used to be a go-to for an easy GrubHub order.

This place seems like this has been here forever. I would say it’s pretty stereotypical Chinese food you could get anywhere. Lunch time specials are a good deal and the items will definitely fill you up. Décor is so so. service isn’t to shabby and the benefit of the entire ordeal is there is parking in the back.

What happened to their chicken? We have been regulars of Uptown China for a year now, but they’ve recently changed for the worse! My husband and I both ordered dishes with chicken in them and his, a fried dish with breading, had almost ZERO chicken in the breading, just fried nastiness with a coating on it and NOMEAT. My dish was chicken with cashews, and i’ve NEVER in my life gotten such small, tiny chunks of cut up chicken in a dish! This new method by Uptown takes cheaping out to a whole new level! Hey Uptown, BUYMORECHICKEN!!! I’ll give them one more shot, but if they do this again, they are out. I’m no dummy.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that when one orders Chinese takeout at 8pm, expectations must be reasonably low. Still my flavorless, overcooked, greasy meal was followed by a bottle of Tums, and the promise that I would never order again. One star because the delivery was on time, and one star because my fortune cookie said I would make a scientific discovery.

When I lived in West Seattle and worked downtown, I would come here once or twice a week. The food is fantastic American style Chinese food. The staff has basically been the same wonderful and courtesy team for the past 22 years. I live on the Eastside and often make excuses to not come over her. Today, I am glad I did. They made me feel at home all over again the same as 22 years ago. I feel the love, and my tummy is full of happy!!!

I’d been craving the house special chicken so I finally caved and picked up an order to go. It was heavenly! The pork fried rice is excellent as well. Hot and sour soup was okay. Let me be clear: there are some dishes that I find meh, but for the house special chicken, this place is 5 stars! It is also a great option for those of us who don’t(or can’t) eat spicy food. I love that individual ingredient flavors pop rather than blend together and the white wine sauce is simply delicious. To go orders are also ready in 10 minutes and they are hot and fresh. Good to know: remember to order rice, the order doesn’t come with it. I do wish it was a tad less expensive but Seattle is an expensive place so it may just be par for the course.
