This playground and grassy area is great for infants to teeniboppers. There are pathways to ride bikes to the park safely and grassy areas to set strollers with sleeping babies in line of sight. The playground itself has the sweetest little hideaway above adult heads were kids can go sit on a bench, stare at the trees and people watch. The swings with the cage around them go much higher, because they are set higher which works out great because there are lil munchkins running around. There are big shady trees for sunny day lunches in the shade. There is a sheltered picnic area with a set in sand box which is great for that moment you get caught by Seattle’s surprise sprinkles and the lil kiddos still want to play and you and your new park friend haven’t finished up your conversation yet. Word to the wise: Double strollers do not fit into the ladies’ restroom. So if she has to go potty and he is sleeping, you might have to wake him up to go in together. This also leads me to believe wheel chairs might not fit as well.

In a city with great parks, there’s nothing spectacular about this neighborhood park. But my family digs this park/playground for the wading pools, shade, and sandbox. Good for the toddler and school age set.

This playground was one where I could always enjoy time for myself. My fondest memories are when I would go there alone, sit on a picnic bench, and write in my journal. I found it to be a peaceful experience. Although there was always background noise from children playing nearby, I found it comforting. I like the shade the trees offer and the bit of sun that hits the playground. Over the years, I’ve taken my little one there so that we could share in the experience of this beloved park. There’s a very cool hill that I always loved sitting on. Overall, not a bad park but it doesn’t offer very much in the way of shelter, which can be important during the rainy months.

Very, very nice playground. Small sand pit with lots of trucks, a small wading pool, tons of lawn space for doggies and picnics. They have great playground equipment with some stuff you don’t see every day, like climbing sticks(vertical poles with little spots for small feet and hands to scale and jump from pole to pole). They also have a covered picnic table area, which Seattle needs a lot more of.

Roomy neighborhood park with a big playground, softball field, trees, picnic tables and lots and lots of green lawn perfect for sunbathing, picnicing and flying frisbees. It’s about a mile from home and we walk here often, or used to when my kids were younger and still thought the monkey bars were cool. I often go alone now. It’s not as fun swinging by myself.
