Village Maternity

This store has everything you could imagine! I have twin girls and I can’t even begin to explain how helpful everyone is and has been. Seattle is so lucky to have such a wonderful local boutique that can accommodate moms before and after pregnancy, babies, and so many other great amenities! I love the sun hats that they sell for babies! And I love their great selection of books!!! This is a wonderful store that you should not pass by!!!

Horrible customer service! I went to the store to buy some maternity stuffs for myself as I’ve grown so much bigger since the pregnancy. The sales girl ignored me and I asked her if she can help on choosing sizes. She grabbed me a couple to try on. The another customer (Caucasian) came in to the store, she was so flattering and measuring her sizes and stuffs. I asked her what are the differences in the products. She just told me they are all very similar and immediately turned to help her Caucasian customer, I found by myself that on the back of the packages that they are actually very different products from material to structure… I mean, why on the earth do a brand sells and markets multiple different lines of products that are almost the same???
Then I headed back to my fitting room and heard she talked to the other customer about the differences in products and their bestsellers and stuffs…
I guess she just has her preference in talking with customers. In addition, there’s another sales doing nothing at the cashier the whole time, I left the store feel assaulted. If you want to be judged and mistreated by a maternity store girl this is the place to go!

This store has a unique variety of merchandise and a caring, knowledgeable staff. They have everything you could need for both mom and baby, making it the perfect one stop shop when it comes to pregnancy, nursing, and beyond.

Village Maternity was super helpful when I was having trouble with my Medela breast pump. They not only checked all the parts to see if everything was working but they let me use their changing room to test the pump while on the phone with Medela customer service. Any mom who’s had pumping issues knows how frustrating it is to struggle with one’s milk supply.
As for the overall store itself, I’m always amazed at how many things they manage to cram in this small store and keep everything looking organized. Like other reviewers have stated, the maternity and baby clothes and diaper bags are all high-​end brands that are pretty pricey, but it’s not as if the store is overcharging them. I guess it’s to be expected being in U-​Village.

I don’t even have kids, but I love Village Maternity for all of my mom to be and baby gift giving! They carry a really well curated assortment of special presents that I haven’t seen anywhere else, including local brand Kate Quinn and my go to gift, bla bla dolls! The sales associates are incredibly friendly and helpful — I never feel like they are trying to hard sell me on products and they will do orders over the phone and ship! Two thumbs up for a great local shop!

What an amazing store!!! The girls that helped me are not only the nicest and most charming people I have ever met but knew so much!!! Being pregnant is overwhelming and walking into a store that makes you so comfortable is such a good feeling!!! Thank you Village Maternity girls!!! You have made me one happy mommy to be!!! :)

Horrible customer service. Went in here today and was never greeted nor asked if I needed any help. Which I did… The store was empty and the two sales girls decided to awkwardly fiddle with folding the same sweaters five feet away from me instead of taking recognition of my presence. I walked through the entire store and not a nod, wave, hello. Zilch. I don’t want to blame this on fact that I was with my African-​American mother (She isn’t even stereotypically «sketchy» looking or anything. She’s a 50 year old kindergarden teacher who speaks like Mary Poppins.) but when I went in with my white Mother-​In-​Law a few weeks before we were greeting within minutes in the crowded store. Never going back again and will warn all my friends against this overly pretentious place.

Love all the cute baby gear and my wife has always had an eye for their women’ clothes. We always stop in with our little guy when we’re at U-​Village

I LOVE Village Maternity! They have the best selection of clothes, accessories and gifts. The people who work there are always really helpful and knowledgable. My fave in Seattle by far.

A little pricey for my taste but convenient when I need a gift for a shower or something. The girls working while I was there was super nice and helpful. I bought a Onesy and a beanie (UW) and it was $ 60 –_​-​. Nice that they offered gift bags and tissue paper.

I like the idea of this store but the reality is that it is too small and way overpriced. I have also called twice now to ask about pump rental and was told I would get a call back later in the day… Never heard from them.

This store is a cool idea but waaaayyyy over priced.
I literally walked across the street to Pottery barn for kids and purchased the same name brand diaper bag for $ 60 cheaper.
I’ll admit they carry unique items, but with the same items available on Amazon for fraction of the price I’m not really impressed.
+ for the store catering to a specific crowd it’s not stroller friendly :(

It’s a small shop with a great selection of maternity and baby items. We came in on a Sunday afternoon this past late October. When I say we — we being myself and 4 children. It was clear and sunny so the Uvillage was quite packed. The store itself was full and so maneuvering our Britax B ready was challenging. We were not acknowledged upon walking in, and although we were literally right there by the cashiers we still were not acknowledged — subsequent patrons were however– so minus one star for customer service. Both the gals working the counter didn’t acknowledge us until I had a question–
Hence my 3 star rating. They do have some adorable onesies and gifts that I haven’t come across before so I’ll will give them stars for that.
All in all it was meh shopping experience– purchased an overpriced sippy cup I soon realized was $ 7 less on Amazon. My experience will keep me away the next time we are shopping and would much rather shop for my kids at Kids Club.

PROS:
Some different baby carriers other than what everyone usually has.
Cloth diaper covers that aren’t part of an all in one system, why are these so hard to find?
Newborn size babylegs.
A huge selection of trumpette socks.
Super fancypant maternity pants if that is your thing.
CONS:
This place is too small! Even if I wear my baby around U-​Village I bring my stroller and it just doesn’t fit in here which is silly since it is a baby store.
Only 1 changing room, if there is a big sale there might be a line to try on maternity clothes.

We walked in on 4÷2÷13 around 5pm and, in the store, were no clients at that point. The sales associate was standing behind the cashier (I would give more characteristics of her) and she was looking down and texting. Upon entered the door, we said politely «hello!». No answer, the sales associate not even raise her eyes to look at us. We were walking around looking for some clothes for a neonate. She never said anything or welcomed us. At some point we decided to look closer into few pieces and honestly we needed some help with size and ask some information. She never asked us if we need assistance. At that point we were looking towards the cashier (there were no other clients in the store), and my wife asked me to leave the store because of her attitude, who continued to text. I asked my wife to stay and I asked the sales associate if she is available to help: –Yes, I am here if you have any questions, and continues to look down and text. I found this associate’s behavior insulting towards me, my wife and our money to invest in this store. Her attitude has been offending, arrogant towards the client and very cheap.
The quality and the variety of clothing for neonates is good. The prices are reasonable. I am giving 2 stars because of this, otherwise I would give 1. Probably, this is an isolated episode/​staff member, considering the good reviews overall at Unilocal

Great shop, great service, and good prices.
My wife and I have been fans of this place ever since we had our little one. The quality of their products are top notch and their prices are quite good on most of their stock.
I am a fan of these guys.

For the size of the store, they have a great selection. The stuff is so cute… for babies and preggos alike. Most of the prices are fairly high, but they are comparable to the other pricing you will find on the same brands in other stores and online. The salespeople are helpful and friendly and I wish I had unlimited amounts of money to spend at this store because I’d love to buy so much on here!

I love this store. Things are a little pricey but they have a lot of great stuff! Most prices are competitive, but they choose to carry higher end items. They rent hospital grade pumps and all the supplies you could need.
I went here for a bra fitting, the lady that helped me was great! They didn’t have my size in stock and I needed it right away (of course I didn’t plan ahead) so she gave me suggestions on where I might be able to find what i needed.
I was also able to get the Angle Dear blankies, my son because very attached to his and after it never seemed to be able to get a bath without him freaking out I broke down to get one more.
The people that work at the stores are always friendly and helpful. I always suggest this store to all my friends.

This store is so cute, it’s hard to resist walking in every time you stroll by. The staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable. For a hip new young mom this place is heaven, designer maternity duds, cute and creative graphic onesies, and great selection of fashionable diaper bags. They also have BUTTER, the safe for pregnancy nail polish line. They have a large selection of organic clothing for mama and baby for those who are interested in that.
I saw this little onesie there that had a picture of a red keg cup on it and it said… «one day I will get drunk on prom night» I couldn’t help but laugh, out loud.
Being a mom already and pregnant with my second, I love visiting this store for ideas to find online for less expensive.

It’s a little funny for me to write this since I don’t have kids! BUT, it’s my go to place for baby gifts for friends and family. They have an amazing selection of Ergos, in all sorts of styles and colors. My friends love these baby carriers.
The store is cute and cozy. Good selection of swaddling blankets, sleep sacks, etc. They have some maternity clothes and nursing wear as well. Every time I go in there, they are always helpful! If you sign up for their newsletter, you usually get a $ 5 off coupon with your subscription.
