I just held my engagement party on the Virginia V this past weekend and all I can say is WOW. What an absolutely beautiful event venue it is! The staff were very helpful and attentive. The view from the ship is absolutely stunning. I did not charter the ship to go out, we just stayed docked at the MOHAI park, and it was still so gorgeous. The ship itself is beautiful and so well-kept. There are clean bathrooms, a kitchen/galley easily utilized to catering, and endless areas of the ship for people to mingle and enjoy themselves. The tables and chairs were provided and in good condition. The only downsides to this venue were the fact that the park was having an outdoor movie night with a(pretty terrible and loud) band right next door, and the fact that you have to deal with all of the trash yourself afterward. laoding giant leaky garbage bags into your car after your party isn’t the most fun ending, but perhaps this is the case at many venues? Overall it was a beautiful and magical night, mostly due to the unique and gorgeous Virginia V venue. Kim, who helped me coordinate my event and book the ship was helpful and communicative. I would definitely recommend checking out the Virginia V for your next event!

We had our wedding on the Virgina V on 9⁄7 and it was amazing. Captain Dale knows how to throw a wedding and keep everybody happy. The ship is so beautiful that once were toured it, we knew it was the place. There was a delay in getting the boiler up to speed, but Captain Dale took care of coordinating with the caterers. He kept everything going smoothly and it turned out to be great to have that extra time on the Virgina V for friends and family to socialize and get to know each other. Captain Dale performed the wedding service, and it was beautiful. The Virginia V Foundation had a list of recommended caterers and we selected Herban Feast and they were amazing as well. He coordinated with the photographers to get the best shots and capture the moment. He was great with my family and nieces who were the flower girls. He took charge in helping to set up a sparkler send off. All the crew was great, explaining the ship and helping out, even taking a few photos for us. It was a great day, a beautiful wedding, and a wonderful tour. Could not ask for more.

What a beautiful ship. It is smaller than i imagined but i think it managed well over a 100 people for a wedding. The wood design throughout the ship make it feel historic and comforting. View: I could see where i used to go rowing, went by the 405, even saw downtown and the Husky stadium when it got dark. The captain is very sweet and there was no sea sickness here! Not a single complaint!

Had an absolute blast touring the entire Lake Union aboard this historical steam boat during or chartered company event. A very fun way to spend a sunny afternoon or evening in Seattle. You get to make one big circle through Lake Union and Lake Washington. It’s a great way to see some super cute house boats, float by the Husky Stadium and even check out the outer perimeter of the Gates estate, or just simply enjoy a glass of wine on the upper deck in the sun. The event can be catered by a company/restaurant of your choosing. Virginia V. has been restored and looks very polished, but you can still tour the old steam room and read some info regarding her history.

What an awesome ship. Built in 1922 and the last of the mosquito fleet. I took a cruise around Lake Union during the South Lake Union Park dedication. What can I say, cool, cool… COOL!

The S S Virginia V is an incredible steamship. You will enjoy walking aboard these days. I remember those days in ancient years before it was refurbished — it was still fun– it still is! However now everything is shiny an d new and polished and clean. You can walk on free during many open houses — pay to contribute to upkeep. This can be rente dout for catering and special events. A glorious ride on Lake Union! PS back in the day I got a little job bartending on this ship. It was a fun winter. Cold tho!

The S.S. Virginia V is a beautiful 86 year old steamer ship launched in 1922. In great shape, the Virginia V is a unique venue for events as it sails around Lake Union. They cater to parties, corporate events, weddings and more. There are also public sails available to the public, sometimes they offer short rides and other times cool events with dinner and entertainment. I believe the ship can hold 150 guests.
