[Dr. Alan Homestead] a delightful person, a caring human being, clean office, terrific staff. He is a good dr. who loves his job and cares about your eye health. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs eye care, especially if you live in the West Seattle/​Burien area. I have gone to him for several years and he is top notch. If I leave the area, I will come back just for him.

Dr. Homestead is the best! I’ve been seeing him for 15 years or more, and I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. My prescription is always spot on, glasses look sharp, and I have actually learned a lot about the health of my eyes. Dr. Homestead always takes a lot of time with me and explains everything, answering all my questions. These days, it’s almost impossible to find service and care like this in the optical field! I’ll ALWAYS come here.

I have been going to Doctor Homestead since I was a child. He’s friendly, thorough, and very good at presenting all your options before you choose which direction to go in. He’s also educational if you are interested, he explains how conditions get that way, and ways you can take care of your eyes to prevent any damage. His front office staff is great, the atmosphere in the clinic is very clean and tidy and they have a large selection of both frames and contacts. I have never had trouble getting an appointment, or getting help with insurance. I highly recommend him and his office, and will continue my 20+ year relationship with this practice!

I had such a great experience at Vision Source. Dr. Homestead is such a nice, and funny guy! He makes the appointment so fun with his great attitude. I went to Americas best eye clinic in Southcenter a few years back and had such an awful experience. At Dr. Homestead’s office I felt like they took the time to really give me a good eye exam. The receptionist is also very friendly. They have great customer service. They talk to you about all the different options you have and don’t do it in a pushy way to make more money as other places would. My glasses were the right fit and I’m excited to wear them!

Scheduling was easy and flexible. They warned me ahead of time exactly how much I would have to pay for my visit (after getting my insurance info). Also responsive via email, which I appreciate since that is my preferred way to communicate.
The visit itself was very friendly, thorough, and quick. The office actually shares a space with a dentist’s office (which I have not visited but may be convenient if you want one-​stop-​shopping for your medical maintenance).
Overall a nice surprise to find such a cozy office tucked away in a White Center strip mall, definitely recommend based on my experience so far.

Very friendly, competent, and professional. Clean and comfortable office. I just saw him a couple of days ago and I already recommended him to a friend. It’s great to have someone in the neighborhood. I will definitely go back.
