If your looking for a doctor in the Seattle area that is a step above everyone else then look no further as you’ve found her. Dr. Forwell consistently goes above and beyond. I’m now seeing her for all my medical needs. From my yearly annual exam to shoulder scarring issues and everything In between. However, our paths first crossed when I’d hit a low point in my physical appearance that was impacting me emotionally. To me they went hand in hand. Together with Dr. Jo I’ve begun to tackle my weight loss goals. My body transition and knowing she’s there to not only be my doctor but coaching me to success has made all the difference in my continued success in living a healthy lifestyle.

I’ve been coming here for about 8 years, and have had excellent care every time. Dr. Jo isn’t your typical physician, which is a plus, and we have developed a great relationship with her. She sees my kids, my hubby, and me. Hubby had a serious back-to-back flu and pneumonia episode several years back, and she treated both without having to hospitalize him. The kids like her because she takes time with them — doesn’t rush them and talks with them. We come every Fall for her own«immunity shot», and so far, neither I nor the kids have contracted the flu each year(hubby didn’t believe in getting that shot until after his aforementioned episode, and now does). We tell everyone about this place.

I found this facility as I was researching options for replacement meniscus therapy because I had dislocated my right patella(knee cap) when playing soccer back in March of 2013. My knee was the size of a softball(no joke!) I wasn’t able to fit into jeans for a week after the injury. This was not my first dislocation of this patella but it had not done it this bad for almost 10 years. I didn’t want to go through the entire hassle of surgery if I didn’t need to. I stumbled upon prolotherapy as a rehabilitative way to gain stability and strength back in the tendons and ligaments that may have become lax due to injury. Dr. Adam Geiger was versed with performing prolotherapy and after talking about it with a few people who have had it done, I decided to try it. I had two visits with Dr. Geiger a couple months after the injury(to let the swelling go down and regain normal range of motion) and two months later I was back into running. Thankfully I found this place when I did because I in April of 2013 I was rear-ended on I-405 at 40 – 50 mph. Again Dr. Geiger had suggested I do other rehabilitative procedures before proceeding with prolotherapy mainly because those alone could be enough to make a full recovery. I didn’t start doing massage until a month later. Til’ this point I had about 11 massage sessions and numerous chiropractic visits when I thought I was done. I then started having throbbing unbearable pain again at the base of my head on the right side similar to when I was initially recovering. Dr. Geiger did about 4 sessions of prolotherapy on the back of my neck and upper back spread out over 3 months. My first treatment of the neck was the most drastic improvement I had seen since the accident. It felt as if I was able to hold my head up without having to put in «extra» effort to do such a simple task. Also at this time started to do physical therapy to accompany the prolotherapy. I continued physical therapy and massage therapy til November 2013. Due to the accident, after I had rehabilitated my knee, I wasn’t able to run, hike or lift weights because my neck would stiffen up, become achy and throb. I now am training for the shore to shore marathon in September 2014, my first ever. I have been able to participate in multiple half’s since. Dr. Geiger is my go-to Doc as my PCP because he’s knowledgable, has a great bedside manner and is respectful of my time. Two thumbs up! :)

Overall, my consultation went well and I was informed of my options. However, the doctor received text messages at least two or three times during our appointment, which she read. She told me that one of her relatives was messaging her(about something completely unrelated to our discussion). I’d say there is a 30−40% chance that I will go back — after I explore other physicians and options.
