The Greek brothers that own this place are awesome. Always remember me and are great to chat with. The food is consistent and of good quality. I always get Voulas Big One with ALL bacon! Their new kitchen build out looks great and continues to pump out great breakfast. Highly recommend Voulas!

The Good: Our server was fantastic which probably was the only saving grace and positive thing that I can say. I am all about and go out of my way to support local mom-and-pop businesses however and in this case denny’s would be a much better option for the cost!!! We ordered 2 of the $ 14 Piñata in which the Benedict was solid and sliced pork was harder than beef jerky. We also ordered the $ 15 salmon scramble which came out as an omelette and had only about an 1 ounce of salmon nothing cream cheese in it. We then ordered a side of salmon so we could put more in it and we were served less than 2oz for $ 6. Buellis to say $ 72 with tip for food and ended up giving us complications later on that day.

Visited Voula’s Offshore Café in Seattle for brunch today. This restaurant was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Voula herself is a ball of energy running the show. From seating people to making sure your waitress is there when you’re ready to order, Voula and her silver sequined hat definitely command attention. Now to the food… AMAZING. Probably one of the best diner-style brunches I’ve had since moving to Seattle. Generally, Seattle is all about the trendy brunch. Voula’s breaks that mold and makes you remember the beauty in an old-fashioned diner. My friends and I had the blueberry pancakes, the Denver omelette, and the Piñata Benedict. I personally had the Piñata Benedict, so I thought it was the best(clearly not a biased opinion), but everything was delicious. The portions are big, they have the perfect hot sauce to accompany the food and it’s the perfect laid back atmosphere for a cloudy Seattle day.

I enjoy Voula’s when looking for a low key, no-frills and substantial breakfast, from which I can emerge with another portion of breakfast to take home to-go. Oh yeah, also when we do not want to wait 45 minutes to an hour for a table at Portage Bay Café just a 5 minute walk away. All of the staff at Voula’s has been friendly and efficient. The menu has tons of options, but the items I’ve tried are the Piñata benedict, the Greek hobo, the Salmon scramble, and the Oddinator omelette. I’ve personally liked all of them in their own ways. Everything is served on a huge bed of hashbrowns with your choice of toast, english muffin, etc. Note — they will all be buttered and jam is available at your table!

It’s been a while since i’ve been back here but if you’re hungry and you’re looking for a big breakfast, this is the place for you! None of that dainty servings with the all grain super organic measly portions here, this is a hearty meal, or meals more accurately. I ordered the greek hobo and split with a friend, even then we had to try with difficulty to finish everything. The potatoes were great and the food was delicious, but we cannot get over how much food was provided. Definitely a great place to go after a long hike or intense energy draining experience, otherwise a plate can probably feed you for dayssss.

Voula’s serves big food, eatin’ food, awesome diner food. Everyone who works here is friendly and will throw a «hello» or a warm smile your way, and it’s been that way seemingly forever. Breakfasts here are hearty and colossal and you get a lot for your $. Like, two days’ worth of calories in a single meal. You should reserve the hour or two following a visit here to lapse into a food coma. I mostly go for the meatless omelets(always served on a crispy bed of hashbrowns with toast, and best accompanied by their housemade hot sauce). Sometimes I’ll get their pancakes(fluffy and sweet and big as hubcaps), and the Smokey the Salmon scramble is a great splurge. (I can’t bring myself to order the Naked Hobo, though… it looks really good but I don’t ever want the phrase«I’d like a naked hobo» to escape my lips.) This is an authentic diner, not a latter-day«diner» that is pretending to be something it’s not. The Guy Fieri stuff… meh. I wish they’d tone that down a bit but I guess it makes sense to plug it. Still, I hate imagining Guy Fieri hovering over the shoulders of Voula’s cooks while they’re trying to cook, and then stuffing his face… anyway…

A few of you already know, I’m a total fan of Voula’s as well as being a big supporter of local/small/family run businesses. So what is up with this update? Well, I’ve tried newer and other established restaurants over the year and I always come back to this place. Why? Like I’ve mentioned before — hashbrowns. They win hands down in that department. Perfectly crispy on the outside and definitely not dry on the inside! Yeah, I know that a few of you out there don’t like the word moist, so there you go(but I still got to say moist)! Their breakfasts are always consistently good and their specials they have featuring the last six months have been most excellent! It is cool that a few of you that have visited also said hi while waiting in line or in the restaurant. It is kind of strange when a complete stranger says hi to you, but recognize you because of Unilocal.Strange, but cool! My friends and I have been getting our base layer down here before Husky football games this season, too. The walk to tailgate and the stadium also help burn those calories! GODAWGS! Oh, the same graphic still applies. Got another clean bill of health from the doctor this year! /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\/\ /\ _______/\ /\________ \/
