Walgreens

Walgreens is… well Walgreens. This location is no different from the others. My only comment about this Walgreens is that it is bigger than the locations found in Hawaii.
Spacing here is nice because the land plot is larger. It’s as simple as that. Hawaii is unfortunate in that the land is limited, which results in a cluttered look and feel.
But products are basic necessities needed at the home and office. Good affordable prices when you need them, but if you can shop around. You can probably save a little on selected items.

My type of pharmacy on a Monday evening. Stopped by here to pick up some waterproof tape and got in and out pretty quick. The actual pharmacy wasn’t busy at this time (I guess that’s good if you’re looking for swing shifts to work here?), and it was hilarious how the cashier (probably the manager) called over the worker at the photo center just to tell him that he needs to stop chatting so much since it was getting «busy» (by that I mean, 3 people waiting in line). Other than that… it’s exactly what you would expect from a typical pharmacy, hence 3 stars.

This Walgreen’s is smaller than over Walgreen locations. I mainly shop here when Revlon lip butters are buy 1 get 1 50% or for discounted nail polishes. Other than that, they don’t really have a big variety of house hold items such as storage boxes or baskets or cleaning supplies.
I do love the convenience of ordering my photos online and picking them up in-​store. It saves me a lot of time.

This place. I’ve gotten a lot of varied things here. I also have my prescriptions filled here. The drive up window takes a long time, but is definitely worth it when you’ve got a kid in tow. Pharmacist and techs seem knowledgeable and helpful.
I love one of the staff that works nights– black hair, curly. She’s super sweet and made a very good impression when I wandered in very late after a long day at Bumbershoot to be informed my kiddo was sick with a fever and that I had no children’s IB profen or tylenol.
They also have some of the worst staff I’ve ever encountered. Once came in so hung over I was nearly dead. A VERY slow and inept cashier rang me up. Turns out my debit card didn’t have funds. I’m sick, now I’m embarrassed, there is a huge line due to employee’s unbelievably slow pace… I just want to pay for the one drink I opened in cash. Cashier loudly informs me my card didn’t go through, wanders off to find someone who actually knows how to do their job, said slightly more skilled employee finally voids my purchase and rings me up, still seeming like he’s a tad confused. Could we possibly alert every patron in the store of my plight? Want to maybe mention it over the loudspeaker, along with a description of my haggard, hung over self? Yikes!

After moving to the greenwood area this month, I was happy to find a Walgreens nearby where I am staying for a couple of months, since I do end up going there at least 2 times a month to get my monthly prescriptions… WELL LET ME JUST SAY… that this Walgreens is absolutely terrible. At least the pharmacy people are, who refill orders that have already been placed about 5 times?! This drug. that I told them was life-​threatening I must take it every day sort of drug. they couldn’t let me know that it was ready to be picked up even though I was calling at least 3 times a day for 1 week asking about my prescription.
Then I found out it was being delayed because some idiot had kept placing an order over and over. Wow… learn how to do your job, thank you.
No hard feelings though to the rest of the staff in the store. Overall, the store is clean, some homeless people are in there on most occasions, but nothing too crazy for what Greenwood has to offer in general.

I don’t really review big chains, but this Walgreens has the worst guy working there.
So, it’s no secret I like cheap whiskey.
BF and I went into this Walgreens so we could get some quarters for laundry. We needed to buy something to get the cash back, and I noticed they had a pretty inexpensive liter of whiskey for sale. I decided to buy it because it was a couple of dollars cheaper than at the grocery store I normally go to.
We bring it up to the front and I notice the cashier is charging me 4 dollars more than the advertised price. I said, oh this was on sale for such and such price. BF goes over to show him said price. He argued with us and said our item was put on the wrong shelf (it wasn’t) and then took the price tag off. We asked him if he could just get us the 750ml bottle since he was right over there. He refused. He charged us wrong price for the liter. He made a huge scene abut it. Then he asked «you want candy to go with this yes?» Uh, excuse me?
This was the only customer service person in my life that I actually almost lost it with.
Luckily, we have no reason to visit this Walgreens again, but I am just so flabbergasted that this guy is still employed for being the laziest, rudest guy in seattle.

Always friednly and helpful staff. The photo staff is great and I like their photo services. Pharmacy for prescriptions is more expensive than other places but good prices througout the rest of the store. Easy to find parking and get what you are looking for.

Just your typical Walgreens — works in a bind. Prices (if items aren’t on sale) tend to be high. Parking lot could use a good cleaning…

I frequent this Walgreens for my prescription drug needs as well as my occasional candy bar cravings (they always have cadburry eggs in stock during Easter season — it’s dangerous). They fulfill both of those requirements very well.

I usually frequent the Walgreens in Ballard or Shoreline but sometimes life finds me in between those two points and I stop here. Staff is usually pleasant and the lines are rarely unmanageable. Good prices on candy and other items. I’ve impulse-​purchased some nice small gifts for my niece back home and they were nicely cheap. Parking is decent, both in their lot and on the street. Take care not to block the bus stop area. I witnessed a speedy tow truck removing an offensive car.

I was sick and stopped by here on my way home from work. I not only found the vitamin drinks I needed but also found my favorite 90% dark chocolate there (it was on sale $ 2 per bar).
Super happy!

You’re probably wondering, what? Did someone just review Walgreens? haha.
I was in a hurry in Valentine’s Day to develop some photos for a gift. I had trouble navigating a lot of photo developing websites and so, Walgreens it was. I selected my photos, paid my $ 1.75 bill and off to work I went.
I came back after work to pick up my photos and the girl told me I didn’t pay online. I told her I did. She said it wasn’t on here and I needed to pay. I know its only $ 1.75 but I just felt like, I already paid and it was the principle. I asked her if her manager was here and she was very polite and went to get her. The manager took her sweet time. The manager kept telling me I didn’t pay and was very loud and abrupt. I showed her the confirmation I had, but I guess it didn’t show payment. I was really surprised because most places would just have let it go by now. I had seriously been there for 10 or 15 minutes. She glared at me for a while and finally went, «FINE. Look, I’ll pay it out of my own pocket!» She slammed some quarters down and said «its just $ 1.75. God!!» and stormed off. Uh… seriously?
Besides, Walgreens isn’t cheap anyway. I never go into here unless its my last resort. I’d rather go to Safeway across the street or Target in Northgate for toiletries.

So I park to go shopping at the Safeway on Greenwood, but my lights won’t flash when I press my alarm remote to lock the car — hmmm. By the time I realize that my remote’s battery is dead, the alarm has already auto-​locked the car and set the alarm!
Fortunately, Walgreens is right across the street, and they carry a bajillion types of batteries; my alarm remote won’t admit defeat, though, as it’s held closed by a tiny screw. I go to the photo counter, and the helpful guy actually has a jeweler’s screwdriver behind the counter! A few turns later, the remote is forced to yield its treasure — what looks like a skinny «N» cell. I only had to check about 80% of the store’s battery display, but I did finally find the correct size, installed it in the remote, and torqued that screw down.
While I was at it, I picked up some shampoo (you can never have too much of a gentle daily cleanse shampoo) on sale; having also scored an OJ, I paid and unlocked the car first try with no alarm blaring.

BTW, their weekly ad usually has some decent sales and specials, and their prices are decent. Not sure if this particular store is open 24 hours, but it’s always been open when I’ve driven by. The staff are helpful, it’s pretty easy to get into the parking lot from Greenwood or the back way, and they have these cute little pony-​sized shopping carts. See you there!

Everything is easy to find in this Walgreens. It’s also got two driveways which makes for easy access getting in or out. Another benefit is that it’s right across from Safeway, so you can get your grocery & drug store shopping done in one stop.
The staff are super nice. They’ve notified me that they had some coupons I could use to make my purchase cheaper, helped me use the photo machines to make photo holiday cards, and given me lots of good advice.
It’s also only a few blocks from another Walgreens, so if one runs out of the item you need, you can just swing by the other one real quick & get it there.

THEY GOT STUFF! Lost my umbrella & they had one. So I bought one today.
In Greenwood, so for the northend Seattle area, that’s pretty convenient. Not one of the gigantic stores; but, they have enough stuff.
Like all drugstores, they have their own parking lot.
The staff there aren’t rude… so that’s a def plus in my book.
Drugs? Hmm… I’ve only gotten Sudafed there. Don’t know about any of the good stuff.
No surpises, gf. Very predictable.

I’ve been a pretty big Walgreen’s fan, especially at the Pharmacy where I’ve never had a problem. This store has just about everything you’d need, and is convenienty located in Greenwood just across the street from Safeway.
Downside is the morning hours. They don’t open until 8 and the Pharmacy doesn’t open until 9.
