I stored with Waypoint for 3 years and had them do service work. When the boat broke down, they tore it apart and didn’t return to it for 2 weeks. The same thing happened the next year. Jake, the service manager concocted a story about trying to find a broken part. My ex wife recently gave them the boat to sell, it has been sitting for three months, no service, they emptied the boat, who knows where the contents are; damaged the upholstery, and refuse to release the vessel. In my opinion, the salesman, John, is conspiring with her to low ball the price, and profit the difference.

I’ve had a few things done to my boat this year including: installation of trim tabs, installation of a swim platform and outdrive service \ winterization. I’m very happy with the work on my boat and Jason does a great job with communication!

Everyone makes mistakes, its how you deal with them is what defines you. I had dropped my boat off and the service writer did not communicate with me or to the techs. I was not very pleased and was going to pull my boat. Management made a change and hired Jason. He jumped right in and they started fixing my boat. The techs lefts notes on my boat saying what was done. Jason called weekly with status of repairs. The costs where what was quoted and the work was top quality.
I am now recommending them to everyone. They have made very positive changes and my wife and I are very happy customers.

I took my boat in for service. Lower unit lub, oil change, new spark plugs new impeller and thermostat. This all took 6 hours at first they were going to charge 9 hours. 2 weeks later I was done, over $ 1,600.00.
Then they said I also need some belts, tighteners, etc etc. We have them on order let me check if they are in. They had not been ordered. They claimed I also had bad gas. They claimed that needed to be pumped out. They were coming up with a problem a minute.
I got in to boat to bring it home and someone had tripped a circuit breaker so nothing but the engines worked. They did find the breaker and fix that so I could come home after I came back and complained.
Of course it is because I need a new breaker. By the time they were done, I got to the point of not believing anything they were saying.
I have 100 hp Yamaha out boards. I asked at a fuel dock and they suggested going to Edmonds and Jacobson marine.

Being in the market for a new pontoon boat I’m in the process of researching makes and models available in the Pacific NW. My research led me to Avalon a supposedly premier manufacturer of pontoon boats and Waypoint being the Seattle dealer. I liked what I saw in the on-​line brochure and so I decided to initiate contact.
However, and before making the 2 plus hour drive to do a hands-​on personal assessment of Avalon quality, I thought I would call Waypoint to inquire into their current Avalon inventory, if any, because Waypoint did not list any Avalon boats on it’s website under new boat inventory.
The gentleman answering my call told me he THINKS they have a 27′ and a 25′ in stock, but wasn’t sure. He DID NOT know which model/​models and made no effort whatsoever to find out what they really were. Question, so if they really have two models in stock, why are not shown on the current inventory page?
He did tell me they had just purchased the business from the previous owner, Tom’s Boat Works and are trying to get up to speed.
Well, as a prospective buyer, I was extremely disappointed in the complete lack of follow-​thru and genuine interest in making a sell. Like, «let me find out and I’ll call you back».
Further, and even though Avalon is shown on Waypoint’s «boat brand» page, Avalon is not included in the list of manufactures at the bottom of the home page, thereby leaving the impression Avalon is not a brand they are fully representing. Plus, Avalon still shows Tom’s Boat Work and their contact info, not Waypoint. IMO ensuring the accuracy of the authorized dealers shown on Avalon’s website is Waypoint’s responsibility, another example of lack of follow-​thru.
So when I add up all these points, why would I consider spending so much money on an Avalon when they can’t get these «simple» things right? Of course, if they can’t get these right, then what about warranty work and servicing?
No thanks. I’ll look at other brands.

Intended to rent a boat to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday with water skiing and tubing.
Reservation process was okay. I had to play phone tag with Buck because apparently he was the only person who was able to complete a reservation despite the (very friendly) reception staff being able to tell me if the boat I wanted was available or not. Did learn from Buck that we could get wake boards, water skis, and tubes for free, but could not reserve them, they would be on a first come, first serve basis. Completed the rental agreement, put down a deposit. All was okay.
Called the Friday before the Sunday we were set to rent to confirm where the club was and what time we could pick the boat up. Got the address and was told we could come at 9:00 a.m. I was eager to get there at 9:00 on the dot so we could make sure to get the water skis and tubes my boyfriend really wanted.
Pro-​Tip: Do not use Apple Maps to get you to the club as it will guide you to a neighborhood a two minute drive from the actual club. Google Maps will get you there just fine.
Arrived at 9:00 a.m. to a locked gate with a sign on the front saying «CLOSED SUNDAYS.» Called both of the numbers listed on the sign frantically for THIRTY MINUTES, rechecked our rental agreement to verify the date was correct. Finally a gentleman shows up and we ask if he has any idea how to get into the club. He says «Oh yeah, they should have given you this code for the gate!» As we are entering with him, we finally get a call from the boat club (about 9:40 or so?). Sit down with the young girl in the office and put down the $ 3500.00 damage deposit and begin to fill out some paperwork.
She takes us to the boat we had reserved (Regal Commodore), shows us around and asks us to fill out the damage sheet, marking down every scratch, scuff, paint chip, broken item we see (and there were a lot!!) The boat was completely filthy and the toilet had not been cleaned out. It absolutely reeked. When she asked us to start the boat so she could show us how to work it, the boat DID NOT START. She decided it just needed to be charged and plugged it in. 15 minutes later, it still did not start. She asked a man named Bill to help us out but he could not be bothered as he was busy moving boats in and out of the water. She called her boss who got down to the boat club about 20 minutes later. He and his partner tinkered with the boat for another 20 minutes and finally declared that charging circuit was shot. A member of our party asked if there was any other boat available and they asked us if we wanted the pontoon boat. Someone asked if there would be a discount or anything and we were met with a flat no. Apparently the pontoon boat was $ 50 more than the boat we had rented and they would be so kind as to not charge us the extra money. They were completely unapologetic despite us having sat around for 2 hours at this point, despite us being charged for a full day rental (even though they had eaten 2 hours of our day), despite that the boat they were going to give us would not allow us to do do any water activities that was the main reason for our boat rental, and despite the fact that they had two terrible Unilocal reviews and it might make sense to step up their Customer Service game. We agreed to the pontoon because we were all already there with our coolers and ready to go.
The positive: The pontoon boat was actually very nice, very clean, had a good sound system you could plug your phone into (if you have the right cables), worked, and did not sink. We ended up having a good time with what remained of the day. (This is why I added a second star)
TL;DR: I wouldn’t recommend this club. As Alina P. states, «They do not know what they’re doing, nor do they care.»

This place is awful! The boat we received started SINKING in the middle of Lake Washington. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Not only did it take them over an hour and a half to get us on the water, they failed to make sure their boat was in adequate condition and most importantly SAFE. We were placed in a life or death situation and have the 911 call to prove it. Some of our passengers were stranded in the middle of the lake for nearly 30 min while they waited for police. The rest of the crew got banged up trying to tie the sinking boat to a private dock. What’s worse is that this is NOT the first time a Waypoint boat has sunk. Do NOT rent from these guys, they do not know what they’re doing, nor do they care.
