It’s the worst haircut I have ever had. I showed some pics to the barber before it get started and she seemed to be pretty confident. The process was super fast and she didn’t even make left and right mirrored. It’s awfully short than I have expected.

I arrived on time and waited for about 15 minutes. In the middle of the haircut the barber(Chris) just left me alone for over 10 minutes because they had something broken. I would say emergencies happen and I was not very mad about it. Also the barber was in a rush, because next client was waiting. He made a discount of $ 20 for waiting(the whole procedure was $ 50) and I left 20% tips. But when I arrived home and looked closer at my haircut I noticed, that on the right side there was a chunk of hair chopped and the hairs from the top were hanging down over this gap unevenly. The back and top are also completely uneven and choppy; not artistic as you may have imagine, but just sloppy. Looks really sad(. Another client in line was waiting for even longer because this place runs short on barbers. I wish they managed schedule better, so masters will not need to hurry.

The same person has been cutting my hair for over 20 years. So long he’s become a good friend. I will likely never change barbers until he retires, or one of us moves. But recently he took a well deserved, extended holiday, and I was in desperate need of a trim. I was on unfamiliar ground. I hadn’t paid attention to other salons in years. And if felt weird to go somewhere else. I picked Weldon as much for proximity to home as anything else. But if also looked like a nice, comfortable shop and I could book online. So in I went. Weldon Barbers provides a comfortable, classic barber experience. Their space is nice but uncomplicated, and fairly typical. There are big comfy lounge chairs, magazines and big a screen TV, and they offer water and coffee while you wait. The staff is all pretty young, but friendly and competent. Most of the stylists seem to be young women, which is probably a demographic choice, but they’re friendly, seem well trained and are good at what they do. I was seated quickly at my appointment time in a big, comfy high chair, and enjoyed a nice chat during my cut along with a «scalp massage» and face steam for $ 40. My service was fast, curtious, efficient, and well done. It’s hard to ask for much more for your money. There are plenty of quality barber shops downtown, but Weldon is fine choice. And in my case, a good backup in case my buddy leaves me hangin’ again.

Fellow Dykeasaurs, I have found an excellent place that will suite your feminine/male appearing haircut. As a woman with a male haircut, it’s extremely difficult to find a stylist that can give you the exact cut that you want. Not too femme, not too masculine. This is the place to go for people like us! I went to 4 stylists in the past month throughout various salons in Seattle. Each cut was completely opposite of what I asked for or completely butchered with no style. I had a hair cut the day prior and it was so terrible. I came in today for an emergency fix and had an AWESOME stylist, Kelsey. Kelsey listened to exactly what I wanted and asked questions. She gave me a great cut that was stylish, textured, and something that I really liked. Wish I would have found her sooner! Found the perfect barbershop!

Jennifer is the worst! She does not listen and even worse she started cutting. After cutting, she started to yell at me and had to have another barber finish my cut. She is just horrible and has no customer service skills. Frankly I think she should be fired! Stay far away!

After a couple weeks on-the-road I needed a cut to feel human. Liked the reviews & liked I could book on-line. Jennifer did a great job! Pleasant, professional & quick. Hot towel & shampoo after the cut really was appreciated. Will be back when I’m in Seattle.

A subdued place across from the Westin that always delivers a good haircut. Appointments are required, but there’s still a chance you’ll be waiting 5 minutes or so after your reserved time, making this a less than ideal place to try to wedge in a lunchtime haircut. Fridays, surprisingly, tend to be light. I like that they don’t insist on pushing product or up-selling. They seem to pride themselves on delivering what you need, not just things that will lighten your wallet. Premier barbers will charge $ 5 more than the listed, reasonable prices. Ray is outstanding. Highly recommend. Will def return.

Weldon is an excellent barbershop for men. Gives you a modernized version of the classic barbershop experience. I always see Ray and she is excellent at understanding what I want in a haircut — communication always seems like the hardest aspect of hair cuts and she makes this easy, giving me exactly what I want and guiding me there when I can’t specifically say what I want. Highly recommend. Thanks as always Ray!

My husband went to get his haircut after he donated about 10 inches of hair to Children with Hairloss. He’s never had a haircut that just wowed him beyond belief. He’s found it and it comes with a straight razor neck shave, hot towel and scalp massage! Jen is the best and he’s a happy camper. I’m pretty sure she will be his one and only barber now on. Absolutely love Jen and recommend her for all! He’s trying to grow out some stubble just to get a pampering straight razor treatment. XP

Wow! My first time getting a straight razor shave and Chris Munoz was a true professional! He paid attention to every detail from how my haircut would make the wife happy, what products to use and how to keep grooming easy for me at home. Then the truly amazing experience of the straight razor shave. He set expectations well by making me aware of the irritation that some first timers might experience with a straight razor and the sequence of his services… but he was so cautious and my skin was in such good hands that there was never a hint of irritation for the closest shave I’ve ever had. Afterwards he shared his methods for keeping irritation to a minimum when shaving with a safety three blade razor and how I should go about shaving at home. I can’t say enough about the professionalism here! Great conversation, sports on the TV, super comfy leather chairs and a great waiting area. I went to the South Lake Union location and was sooo impressed. I hope that I can approach my profession with the same care and detail; true professional doesn’t encompass it well enough!

So after my bad haircut on Sunday I called Weldon to explain my dissatisfaction. They were really nice and asked me to come back down the next day so they could fix my head. The manager JP cut my hair, did a great job, and apologized for my experience. While it hasn’t restored my confidence in their crew of stylists, I would go back as long as JP cut my hair.

My 12 year old son and I were visiting Seattle for a family occasion and needed haircut«bad» last weekend. Every place we went, they were too busy to talk to us and not very accommodating(rude in some cases). At Weldon’s, even though they were very busy, they found a way to get us an awesome hair cut. Amazing professionals from reception desk all the way to barber chair. My barber and the master barber were great with kids.

I had a lovely first experience at Weldon Barber downtown Seattle. To start, creating the appointment was a snap on Weldon’s website. Extremely user friendly in both selecting day/time of appointment as well as services requested. Upon arrival for my appointment I was immediately greeted with a friendly face and smile offering me a cup of coffee as she notified my barber that i had arrived. Within 2 minutes of enjoying a cup of coffee and sitting comfortably in their guest, waiting area chairs, Jenn came around and greeted me face to face with a smile. Jenn really took the time to inquire about what I was looking for from my hair cut experience. She asked very specific clarifying questions to ensure we were working toward the same goal, and took the time to listen as I shared what my long term desires are for my hair. Needless to say, Jenn did an outstanding job going above and beyond expectations. I purchased the signature hair cut as well as beard trim and was not disappointed with either in the least. I will be a returning customer and would highly recommend Jenn for her professionalism, attention to detail, and overall customer centric approach!

I highly recommend this place to any male in need of a haircut! I have been going to Weldon for 9 months. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I first got my haircut. Weldon came as a recommendation from a friend and I haven’t stopped going since then. Julia is the best… go to her!!! She is always on-point and knows how to cut hair. I always feel well taken care of with Julia and have never been disappointed. The staff are always nice and the place is always clean.

Had a couple hours between clients so figured I’d go get a hair cut, looked on here for a barber shop found Weldon’s and thought hey that’s close enough to walk to and had decent reviews. So I called and they were able to get me in right away which was nice, got my hair cut by JD(if I remember right) it was a great hair cut and I told him I wanted from ear level down to be to the skin. He actually busted out a straight razor a took it to the skin which was refreshing most other places will do like a triple 0 which is fine but my hair grows fast so it grows out in like a week. So over all I’m very satisfied with my hair cut the only problem was the price I’m use to going to a shop up on beacon hill which does great work and fairly priced. But this is definitely a go to if I’m right on time.

I’m a guy that looks forward to haircuts. Even though mine is as simple as a «#1 all the way around,» there’s something about the ritual of it all that appeals to me. There is no work inbox, no ever-connected dependence on smartphones, and you always feel like a new man afterwards. What could be better than combining a 20 minute vacation with a place two blocks from work that lets me schedule online? Maybe I built up the idea of a hot towel, shampoo, and scalp massage in my head… but the experience was very disappointing. The haircut was fine, I just felt like I seriously overpaid for the experience. The barber running 15 minutes late and seemingly robotic effort to get back on time by rushing through everything didn’t help. I felt like I was at a doctor’s office, not paying $ 30+ for a little bit of me time. Yeah, I said it. I am disappoint.

My boyfriend used to get his hair cut at Supercuts every 10 days and at best, his hair was always just on par, and at worst, well… let’s not even go there. Let’s just say I have said the words, «What happened to your hair???» more times than I wanted to. Fed up with the inconsistent looks that I had to put up with(and to have to claim him as my boyfriend), I decided to get him a gift card to a high-end men’s hair salon to let him see what a REAL haircut is supposed to be like. (As reference, I am extremely picky about my own hair and have paid upwards of $ 90 to get my hair cut. I will follow a stylist or esthetician to the ends of the earth if I like what I get.) He was set up with a stylist named JP and when he came back, it was the best his hair has ever been. On top of that, it’s so much more professional that he didn’t have to go back to Supercuts 10 days later to have it fixed. I’m pretty sure I’ve converted him — I’m writing this review because he doesn’t have Unilocal — and he’s only going to have to get his hair cut every 4 – 6 weeks now! I’ll definitely be making all of his hair appointments with JP at Weldon Barber from now on. Lesson learned: you get what you pay for! Thank you JP!

Chris and the girl up front are newbie morons at their best, he gave me some of the worst razor burn i’ve had in 20 years. I have had a straight razor shave in Chicago from a man who knew his craft and my face looked and felt great. These guys are young punk kids who wield a straight razor like its a toy, these guys are arrogant fratboy hacks who told me i was being a wuss while I was bleeding from their dull razor!?! He clearly doesn’t know his craft, i didn’t see him use a strap and he cut me while chatting with friend & watching reruns of some game on the tv. WTF!!!

Had planned on bringing my team from work in here for an employee appreciation event(cuts, shaves, etc) so I thought I’d check it out first by getting a quick trim. Booked online, arrived 30 min early and nobody was at the front desk. After ten minutes of sitting around, I get acknowledged. My time finally arrives and no response. Nothing, not even a «it’ll just be a minute», «wrapping up», «can I getcha drink?»…Nothing. 5 min, 10 min, nothing. And the guys who had left didn’t seem all that happy with their haircut. Meanwhile three walk-ins were turned away. So I left still in need of a haircut. I don’t recommend this place. Fortunately there are plenty of other options in downtown.

It’s about time men had a nice comfortable place to go to! I will be the first to admit that we women are super spoiled. I came in to spectate and was treated with top-notch service. I’m not even the one getting the haircut, and they’re nicer to me than most salons are to women! I was seated in the adjacent chair(for the best spectating seat, to my male companion’s slightly uncomfortable dismay), and I immediately noticed how smooth, cushy, and comfortable the seats were. These are the kind of seats you want in your home when you crash out in front of the TV. Speaking of TV, they had a giant screen up in the waiting area and they were airing the live UFC fight. AWESOME. I was offered a variety of beverages while I was there, and there was avid discussion of alcohol licenses. A beer or a whiskey during your hair cut? I love being a woman, but this may just be the one time I wish I were a man! They do the whole hot towel thing and the scalp massage. There was not one whiff of the super stuck-up snobbiness that exists at essentially all salons. Service was spectacular and conversation was awesome. The man ended up looking pretty damned good, too! ;) I would absolutely recommend buying a gift certificate to this place for the man in your life. They will love it!
