Favorite breakfast spot ever. The food is delicious! They’re known for the Benedicts, but I love the tower of power. I haven’t had a bad plate yet! It’s my favorite place to bring friends from out of town, as they have veggie and gluten free options too. The garlic potato cakes are a nice savory surprise. I love that the Benedicts come with both garlic potato cakes and a cup of fresh fruit. It’s a nice balance of sweet and savory. I’ve seen a couple reviews complaining about slow service, but it’s perfect! I love the staff, they’re always friendly and just the right amount of sass. It’s a home-y feel, and it’s perfect. I’m not into the fake service feel and overly nice crap. The staff there is amazing and if you ever sit in the bar you can see how hard and quickly they work. Also, the bloody Mary’s are spicy and delicious! I haven’t tried the other drinks, but the peach mimosas sound tasty and dangerous.

We had brunch here this morning. Alan found it on Unilocal and it’s not too far from where we’re staying. It’s in a converted bungalow set high above the sidewalk, accessed by a series of cement stairs. It’s colorfully and beautifully painted outside and the front garden is well tended. We walked in and were seated in the back toward the kitchen and given menus. The menu is large and there are a lot of interesting dishes. I was attracted to several, but decided on the Florentia scramble, which contained bacon, spinach, mushrooms and Swiss cheese. Alan had the Veghead Medley, a scramble w/mushrooms, green pepper, onions, spinach, grilled zucchini and tomatoes, substituting cheddar for the Jack it comes w/. Both dishes come w/two of their garlic potato cakes and your choice of toast. We both chose the multigrain. I ordered hot tea and Alan had iced. The scrambles came out after a reasonable wait and were very good. The potato cakes were very garlicky, in the best possible way. I love garlic. The toast was equally good. I couldn’t finish either the toast or the potato cakes, but that was just because there was too much food for me to finish. Alan was pleased w/his dish. Across the room from us was a three-some. Facing me was a young man wearing a LeBron 6 t-shirt commemorating LeBron James’ 6thNBA finals series. I was wearing my Strength in Numbers Warriors shirt. The first game was last night and we won. His shirt was beautiful and I was going to compliment him on it when we left, but he didn’t make eye contact so I didn’t bother him.

Came for the infamous eggs benedict, they weren’t bad just not overly impressive, average, portions seemed quite small, came with a small side of potatoes.

This one is a five star for me for sure, mainly because the food was so interesting and well-prepared. What I LOVED: –The place smells like butter when you walk in. It is heavely. –Despite the beautiful buttery aroma in the air, the food itself was absolutely delicious, not greasy, and we didn’t feel gross after eating it. –The menu is very well thought out. A lot of interesting things to try(I had the Vince eggs, which were the weirdest sounding thing I could imagine — but it was wonderful). I will come back again and again to explore the menu. –The place is straight out of Portlandia. Other stuff: –Waitstaff were nice, but service was kind of slow and not particularly attentive. We had to ask for our orange juice a couple of times, and they aren’t on top of keeping your coffee warm. –They don’t accept resos, but you can wait outside on the porch with a cup of coffee. –It looks like a house, so easy to miss. The front yard is chock full of beautiful greenery to look and and enjoy. –Street parking. We were able to find a spot within a half a block. –Coffee is just okay. Nothing too robust or special. –They told us that they typically run out of the famous cinnamon buns by noon, so get there early if you want one. –They don’t acceot reservations.

Truly delightful«discovery». I’ve pedaled and driven past it many times and never noticed it until I looked up places for breakfast in Greenwoodshire. Good thing we got there early because we only had to wait about 10 minutes(8:30 a.m. on a Sunday). When we left(and it was pouring rain) the porch was packed with people waiting to get in. Everything that everyone had was tasty and well-made. Clearly popular with families because there were many children of all ages. It’s snug because it’s an old house and tables are distributed throughout the former dining room and living room.

Delicious lox Benedict. Nice location for finding parking(sometimes) because it’s in a residential area. Pricey, but worth it if you want a great brunch. Cinnamon rolls are always sold out quick, I want to try them!!!

What is it with restaurant service these days??? My family of four wanted to enjoy a brunch together after spending the morning in different locations(kid activities). However, we were not allowed to sit down at open tables because our whole party was not together yet. Super insulting & condescending. I would’ve been happy to place our order or start a beverage while waiting, but we weren’t given the choice & made to feel foolish for trying to get a seat. You wonder why business is tough? Consider your stupid ‘policies’!

Great brunch place. Got the eggs benedict, comes with roasted garlic potatoe cake and fruit bowl. Also like the atmosphere, very homie and great service. This was the one went to when nolan and Jenni visited to look for places to live

Wild Mountain is one of our go-to breakfast joints. Garlic potatoes are super tasty, as are there eggs Benedictines.

Sat immediately and our meal took an hour and a half. It wasn’t abnormally crowded, our service was just that poor. My wife had to ask and re ask for a side of sour cream and didn’t get it for fifteen minutes. My coffee was cold and I asked for a fill and didn’t get anything for fifteen minutes and it only got filled when we were finally trying to leave. Looking around it seemed as though most tables were having similar experiences. The food is ok. You can do at least this good at most places in seattle though.

Too LOUD!!! There’s WAY too much noise in this place to have an enjoyable breakfast. We’ve been here twice and today decided not to go back for this reason.

I’ve eaten here more than a handful of times and would say if you’re looking for a solid breakfast in the area this is a great place. Wait times can get long due to the small size of the place but usually there’s fresh coffee out to drink while you wait and a server will come by to warm it up for you as well. Food wise I always go for the Tower of Power, usually without the addition of eggs but sometimes with. The potato cakes are amazing, the veggies are crisp and never overcooked and the roasted garlic is like small treasures you find along the way! Their bread is great– I always go for sourdough and the jam on the table is not too bad either. I’ve also shared banana coffee cake with a friend and it was delicious as well. Great for smaller parties, they don’t have many big tables. I’d only recommend Sunday brunch for parties of 2 – 4 and only got the patient!

Cute little coffee mugs in a cute little house with unbelievable brunch. The cute little people are some of the sweetest in the brunch biz! Easily one of the best(and cutest and littlest) brunch places in ALL of Seattle!

Another great breakfast spot to add to the list! This is definitely one of those«looks can be deceiving» mom & pops joints. Right as I walked in, I felt like I was in someone’s house. The seating area did not seem very large with two main rooms with 4 or 5 tables. They also have a bar area. For my first time I tried their lox Benedict, and but of course some mimosas. The food was delicious and was perhaps one of the best tasting Lox Benedicts that I have had the pleasure of trying. I will definitely come back try their other dishes and update my review.

This is a fun restaurant. Lots of healthy choices and great service. They have some great vegan and gluten free options. It’s located in a very random place. You wouldn’t expect to find such a good restaurant in this spot and it’s a house so it’s kind of hidden. It has a very«at home» feeling which I enjoy. Full of funky kitchen tables and chairs that don’t match. Weekends tend to be super busy. Best time is a weekday in the late morning. Today our waitress made a couple mistakes which she rectified right away with a smile but we always have fast friendly competent service. We had the salmon Benedict, Ace Cakes and French toast for«dessert». Instead of grilled potatoes or hash browns with breakfast, they serve a mashed potato cake which is a refreshing change from the norm. Breakfast also comes with a fruit cup that has a very nice variety of fruits. The salmon Benedict was pretty good(although I’ve had better) but I prefer the veggie one. It has more to it. The Ace Cake plate was so so good! I highly recommend this dish. It’s very different and has a ton of flavor. Has a healthy amount of garlic as well but not overkill. I’ll definitely be back. There’s a lot on the menu I still want to try.

I really like this place! I have a special place in my heart for restaurants in houses, I find it charming. I like the way that they cook their veggies here, just barely so that they are still fresh and crisp. The potato cakes are delicious. They are like cakes of mashed potatoes. The bread is toasted in butter so that all you have to do is put jam on it. I love details like this. I will definitely come back when I’m in the area.

Servers name: Amber Atmosphere: Casual Price: Decent($ 11-$ 35) Service: Good Parking: Street/Residential Parking Other: Has bar seating and camera’s are installed here. When someone claims that a place is the best breakfast place in a city — well the expectation is raised. I’m not disappointed with my encounter with WMC. I’m just not sure if it’s the BEST. But here are some thoughts: Driving up — you would miss the fact that there is a restaurant here because well. it’s a HOUSE. Granted — there is a sign outside but who reads those signs unless its covered with bacon. I do like the weird inconsistent décor and the idea of turning a house into a restaurant. Very creative. I found out from Amber(our server) that this restaurant was opened in 2001. Amber has been working here since 2012. Amber stated that the wall art was purchased from local artists by Connie(the owner). The Atmosphere is casual but the air can get stuffy since there isn’t good ventilation and windows are not allowed to be opened. Coffee: Coffee is basic — don’t expect the expensive stuff — it was well… basic. Dishes: They are generous and filling. I did enjoy my dish(Kitchen Sink). It was like having Goulash and the base wasn’t potatoes but eggs. My fiancé had the Tower of Power and by the looks of it — she wasn’t disappointed. Service: Connie — if you’re reading this — here is a shout out to your server Amber. There were at least 13 people seated in the first 2 rooms. Amber was the only server and she was moving! Making sure our cups were full and dishes were sent out hot. She didn’t stop and chat much and looking around — I don’t blame her — she was on the go! So I am grateful for her hard work that day. Overall impression: I like this place — the weird décor and paint job outside; the fireplace and the stuffiness… well — scratch out the last part. The question is — would I return? … Honestly … YES! why not… there are other dishes on that menu I would love to try out. I wouldn’t say this is the BEST place in Seattle but I will say 4 stars«I’m a fan» Other: I would like to try the Cinnamon roll on my next visit.

Love, love, love this place! Basically an older home that’s been converted to a restaurant; this is where you get a quality, no frills, made from scratch breakfast. Even the jams/jellies are homemade as well. Get there early for a decent seat. They don’t take reservations, and if you get there after 11, be prepared to wait. The bar area is a bit small, and is often full as well. Quite an eclectic menu, you will find something for everyone. My favorites are the scrambles. I live about 40 minutes away, but if I lived closer, Wild Mountain would surely be a weekly staple. When I have out of town guests, I always take them here.
