Just realized that I never reviewed this event. Whoops! Big thumbs up to a small event — it’s nice to be able to sit and chat with people, whether you have seen them at many other Unilocal events or are meeting them for the first time. I was lucky enough to sit at an awesome table of Unilocalers! The food was great! The sliders were super delicious(loved the fact that the Unilocal logo was branded on top of each — too cute!), the fries were tasty, and the deviled eggs were good. But hands down, the brussels sprouts were the highlight for me — cooked with bacon and oh so good. There was a beer available to sample, but I don’t drink beer so I did not partake. Took advantage of the water though! :) Thanks so much Katy and 8oz Burger Bar for a great event! I had a really good time!

My first Unilocal Elite Event ever, and what am I greeted with? A shower of name tag stickers. A firm, warm handshake from Katy H. And friendly conversation from all the people I talked to. What a blast! I wasn’t quite sure of what to expect at first, but if they’re all like this, then sign me up for the next one! The Western gear looked like something that most people didn’t take seriously. It seemed that the majority of people just wore their normal clothes, but it’s fine. The food was spectacular! I only wish they could have prepared more so that there didn’t have to be a huge rush to grab everything. The sliders were slightly larger than bite-sized and had the Unilocal logo on them. I still don’t know how they got their name. Deviled eggs and French fries were also good. Brussel sprouts… I won’t comment too much on those. I never liked them. The best part was the way people greet the new guy! Apparently, they take off their name tags and stick them on me as an initiation. I have never heard of such a thing before, but I welcome it! I didn’t get the chance to speak with everyone, but I had a great time chatting with those I did, and I’m sure there will be a chance next time. The event was also awesome in that it introduced me to a fantastic new restaurant that I’ve driven by so many times but never visited. I liked the food, and the staff was attentive and willing to put in the extra effort. On my second visit, I’ll be back to give the place a proper Unilocal review!

Great event with cowboy theme. Thanks Katy for having us :-) A small, intimate event with 30ish people at 8 oz burger. Like Marc M mentioned in the thread, Monday night parking wasn’t that bad. I was able to find a spot within 2 blocks away. Beer was sponsored by Emerald City and food was provided by 8 oz burger. Since I had to drive, I didn’t drink. The food and service were good. We had devil eggs with smokey salmon bites on top, roasted garlic fries, sautéed bacon brussel sprouts, and mini burger sliders. Servers were very proactively checking on us. I love them all! And, I would like to go back soon have their regular size burger soon. I was happy to attend the event because I got an opportunity to catch up with my Unilocal fellows who I knew for a while and meet new Unilocal fellows. It was a great time to socialize and have yummy food.
