Windermere Apartments

I moved into a studio here about 3 months ago and so far I’m really happy with it. It’s an older building with some character, rather than one of the boring new high rises. Everything is pretty basic and no-​frills. It’s at the north end of Belltown, so it’s close to everything — the Walk Score is 94 — but it’s far enough away from the bars that it’s fairly quiet except for Friday/​Saturday nights in the summer.
My favorite things about my unit are:
1) It’s affordable (relative to Seattle, anyway).
2) It has hardwood floors, plus original wood doors and trim. (Some of the units have carpet, too, if you’re into that).
3) Huge windows that run the length of the unit. You get a ton of natural light if you’re on the south side.
4) It’s really big for a studio at this price, about 440 square feet.
5) The walls are painted a light grey rather than the standard boring white.
The only minor complaint I have is that there isn’t a change machine in the laundry room, so I have to go to the bank once a month to get quarters. But that’s not really a big deal. Overall I love the place.

Lived here for around 3 years. Great Management. Todd is a great manager. Very friendly and fair. Lived right next to him and never had to wait when it came to repairs. Homeboy was on it!!! Fairly quiet location considering it is in Belltown.
