I was very pleased to learn about this service — it was just what I needed to facilitate purchasing a used car on short notice last night. I was able to book a same day, on-​site pre-​purchase inspection online. Theo arrived early and was very professional and knowledgeable. While a curbside inspection obviously cannot be as thorough as an inspection at a garage where the car can be lifted, it was obvious that he knew what to look for for this particular car and was committed to providing as thorough an evaluation as possible. The price ($ 84) was very good, especially given that it included some significant travel time at rush hour.
The only reason why this is not a five star review is that I was disappointed to learn at the end of the inspection that the company offers a discount to reviewers who provide five star reviews on Unilocal.This seems like a sketchy business practice to me, and if my experience is anything to go off of it is completely unnecessary — their service stands on its own. It makes me uneasy and slightly less likely to use them as opposed to a traditional mechanic for repairs or maintenance, although I have no doubt I will use their pre-​purchase inspection service again when needed.

This is an amazing service. House calls, like the family doctor. My first experience was with Theo and a newly purchased ’83 MBZ 380SL: not your usual machine. On-​time and courteous, his task was to diagnose my starter problem. His fee was minimal, the part was ordered and was received defective. He reassembled my steering assembly til the new part arrived, then returned and fixed the problem weeks later for little more than the cost of the part.
Of course, I will use
again.
Really sweet if you supply your own replacement parts and want to avoid the wait time.
Worth every star.

Theodore was very meticulous with his work. Since I couldn’t find anyone in the Seattle area, he came all the way from Redmond. He changed all the spark plugs in my car. I was thinking of changing all the ignition coils of my engine but Theodore insisted I should change the one that reported misfire and helped me save some money. He also spent some time diagnosing other problems I had — screeching sound from the air conditioner and suggested what I should do. Also he advised me to change the air conditioner filter and buy it from Amazon because it is cheaper.

Theodore was so dedicated to helping to find the problem with my brothers car. He checked all possible problems and was able to find the problem and get the car started! I will absolutely use Your mechanic again. We saved so much time and money by having them come to us. THANK YOU!!!

Noe was my mechanic and he was not only timely, but earlier than my scheduled time. He was quick, but thorough and professional. I tend to be a bit anxious about car repairs — and, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and a better detailed review of what was going on with my car. Noe was awesome!

My review is for Noe — My car had been sitting for awhile and I was pretty anxious about what could be wrong. Noe arrived 15 minutes early and he was very kind and professional the entire time. He was very thorough with his inspection and told me exactly was needed to get my car running as well as what I could do first and what could wait a little bit longer if needed.
I would definitely recommend Noe to any of my friends or family.

Theodore was awesome! He took the time to clearly explain what he was going to do. He worked quickly to get the job done, at my convenience and at an excellent price! I would not hesitate to hire him again! He did ALL the fluids on my newly-​acquired E30 (trans, diff, coolant, radiation, oil, everything!). I know the PO was an enthusiast and took great care of the car, but I wanted to make sure everything was buttoned up. Theodore did an excellent job… and I didn’t have to take it to a shop! I know my E30 is in great hands!

Noe replaced brake pads on my car yesterday … quick, professional, high quality job … explained all issues to me. Didn’t sell services (like replacing discs) which were not required. Reasonable pricing too.

My review is for Noe — I’m new to Seattle, and was I need of a mechanic to check out my «check engine» light.
He arrived an hour and a half early (which was awesome since I got off of work early as well), and was able to find the problem in 30 mins.
He also pointed out a few things that he was concerned about (leaking battery) and suggested that I take it over to where I bought it to have it replaced (it’s only a year old).
I had a few other questions that he answered happily.
I will definitely use this service again for all my car maintenance needs!

The good…
The mechanic was friendly, polite and he was eager to please.
The not so good…
They really need to stop over promising when quoting arrival times. so much can go wrong when working on a car and Seattle traffic is worse thna horrible. Instead UNDER promise and over deliver. It’s not the mechanic’s fault they run late!
These mobile mechanics work HARD and under miserable conditions in the dark and in the rain. They operate with limited tools and equipment and are limited to what they can carry in the trunk of their cars. If something were to go wrong, such as encountering a broken or stripped bolt, without shop equipment they would be totally out of luck. With this in mind, I have to question how they are able to attract the quality of mechanic needed to work on today’s cars.
I had a question regarding my bill and evern though I’ve left three messages, I have yet to get a call back.
In the future I’ll feel more comfortable taking my car to a local, well equipped shop evern though it may cost a bit more.
Again, If I were a top notch mechanic/​technician, I would choose a warm, dry, well equipped shop with a roof over my head. I really respect anyone who would work under these adverse conditions especially given the nationwide shortage of techs.

Learned about YouMechanic through Unilocal,and I’m glad I went for it.
I needed a headlight replaced. They quoted a really good price ($ 88 for parts and labor), so I went for it. The whole experience was pretty great. I called the day of the appointment to see if the mechanic could come a little earlier, and he did.
Noe was extremely professional, friendly, and was done within 15 minutes.
You really can’t beat the convenience of someone coming to your doorstep to fix your car. As an added bonus, Noe is the type of no bs kind of guy that makes you feel comfortable about the whole process. I’ll definitely use the service again.

Noe was my mechanic that provided an oil change at my house today. It took less than an hour and he arrived 15 minutes early. He added air to my tire (I didn’t even know that it was low, due to my low profile tires). He did a thorough inspection and pointed out issues that I did and didn’t know about my car. He was extremely polite.
I love that the mechanic comes to you instead of me waiting around at the shop for my services. I would recommend this service to others.

The five stars were definitely earned by Noe, the mechanic that serviced my car. For $ 50 I knew what was wrong with my A/​C and he had fixed it. He is very knowledgable and explained why it wasn’t working, how he knew and what he did to fix it in a way I could understand (I don’t know much about cars — that’s why I called a professional). THANKS NOE.
BUT, YourMechanic leaves a lot to be desired. They have email messages that get auto-​generated at each step in the process which you would think would be helpful, but it’s not. They don’t give you any necessary information and if you reply with a question (like it says you can) nobody ever responds. The people who you talk to at the 800 number are less than knowledgeable. However, with Noe being a great mechanic that I feel I can trust and the prices being reasonable I’ll probably stick it out despite the crappy customer service from headquarters.

To say I was pleased with their service would be an understatement.
Between the fixed price, knowledgeable staff (both corporate and mechanic) and the speed and efficiency of the process (automated text updates, repair time, cleanliness, follow up, etc.) you’d literally be a fool to not have all your repairs done through Your Mechanic.
Plus, it doesn’t hurt that the repairs are performed literally *anywhere* (home, work, etc.). Very thankful this type of service exists here in Seattle.
