Zippy Shell of Greater Seattle

You pay for what you get. Zippy Shell was the cheapest option to move my 1 bedroom across the country. But as expected with the discount company there were complications that were less than pleasing. My movers in Virginia showed up 10 hours late. Yes 10! Not fun to move out of your apartment when its dark outside and you have a long drive ahead of you the next day. And then when my container arrived in Washington the lock, the ‘security feature’ they offer that you keep the key for, was just missing. And the one loop of Saran Wrap was barely justifiable as a shrink wrapped container. Luckily all of my items arrived on time with only minor scratches on some furniture. The movers in Washington were fantastic and just as confused as i was that my container showed up unlocked. And i did get a small refund for my frustrations. With that being said i would not recommend their business.

We used Zippy for a temporary moving situation last year. The owner was very easy to get ahold of and made our move quick and easy.
We will be using Zippy again this Spring!

Nightmarish experience! I trusted the good reviews before hiring this company. I hired them in May for a July move. My «moving coordinator «changed three times (they were «no longer employed by them»). The fourth coordinator inherited this mess which was not at all arranged by the previous «moving coordinator «. there were no movers as per the contract. My move was delayed by one day so that they could get movers. They assured me that it will be delivered to my doorsteps 20 days later across states on the day that we arrive.
It has now been four days since we arrived; still, no zippyshell in sight! I was left in the dark entire time until we arrived and realized nothing is here and so I started making noise. I have been with my family of seven in this empty house awaiting our things. The 4^th Coordinator has also been let go and fifth coordinator has been assigned! I have been strung along every day and they are supposed to be here tomorrow morning. I have racked up huge bills from all the restaurant eating and things purchased just for basic living !!! Their response; The truck isn’t working properly! It seems like the same excuse they have given to other reviewer’s. My trust is gone. The best they could offer was $ 140 refund !!! That’s practically one meal at a restaurant for us !!! I am terribly disappointed and discouraged from anyone trusting this company and their promises !!

A five star shout out to DJ’s Zippy Shell. This is my third time moving using a container/​pod in the past 6 years and Zippy Shell outshines the other two companies. What a great concept of metal cages/​crates that are stored in an enclosed warehouse. Trailers are also registered vehicles so no extra permit needed to park it on the street. Zippy Shell is super convenient, affordable and excellent personal service. Thank you DJ!
