I’ve recently discovered the deliciousness of local honeys and Bloomfield is one of the best I’ve tried. My husband and I had a sampling of honey while staying at the Pearlessence Vineyard in Sebastopol. We enjoyed the honey so much, that we drove to their shack on Bloomfield Road. The shack is unmanned and utilizes the«honor system» for payment. You pick what you what from a variety of products(honey, candles, etc) and place your payment in a box.(How awesome is that?) We purchased a wildflower honey and were on our way. The next day, we stopped by the Sebastopol farmer’s market and saw that Bloomfield Bees had a stand. The owners were absolutely delightful, allowing people to sample various honeys and explaining how they make creamed honey. We tried a creamed blackberry honey that was OUTOFTHISWORLD!!! Naturally, we bought a container to bring home. Their honeys are a little on the pricey side, but I believe the taste and quality are worth it.

The most delicious honey I’ve ever eaten. I get the wildflower to help with allergies but the blackberry is also amazing – tastes like butterscotch.

The other reviews I believe have the covered the honey itself, though they have all purchased it at farmers markets. Let me tell you about the stall that is located here at the address at 1295 Bloomfield Road. It is a small but colorful«honor system» stand typical of what you’d see in Hawaii’s Big Island or Santa Cruz circa 1960’s/70’s but really don’t see today on the mainland. It’s colorful little shack with everything bees make or can be made from what bees make — like wax candles, honey, bee pollen, beewax lipsbalm, hand balm, etc. They also have some sort of teddy bears made of natural materials. Honey comes in varietals of which I got lavender and thistle. Prices are a bit pricy for some varieties and more than reasonable for others.

Have seen them twice at the Occidental Farmers Market. Really nice people and a great variety of honey. They are top notch.

Checked out Sebastopol’s farmers market last Sunday and found this neat vendor. The guy at the stand was super nice and very helpful. Their Bloomfield Bee’s Foot Magic caught my eye and when I inquired for more info on the product I was blown away by the natural healing properties inside this small jar. This stuff contains propolis, which is a substance made by bees used to glue together colonies, or as my boyfriend put it «it’s basically bee jizz». Anyways, apparently this propolis has some great medicinal values by curing foot fungus with its antibiotic, antiseptic, antioxidant and anti-fungal properties. I loved the smell so I picked some up for $ 10 and used it after I took a shower that night. I couldn’t believe how wonderful it felt on my feet. So smooth, and beyond moisturizing and also a bit tingly as well. I now how some really smooth healthy looking feet after only using it three times now! I also picked up Bee Better Propolis Tincture which is vodka, mixed with propollis and then fermented for 3 months. It’s great for so many things such as an antiseptic, antibacterial mouthwash, and to take at the first sign of a cold(which is what attracted me). They also have some tasty honey and so much more. Their website is filled with valuable information. Their items make for a fabulous gift idea that’s truly unique. Plus they even raise their own bee’s, how cool is that! I’m hooked!
