D’s Diner

Once again, a great Nieman Ranch burger with perfect fries and a mocha shake. Both the owner and the person who is probably his daughter give great customer service, are very friendly. I just keep coming back!

Owner is very nice and the food here is delicious. I highly recommend checking this place out if your looking for a quick bite to eat.

Very friendly owners! I ordered the tuna sandwich but got the tuna melt instead. I didn’t specify which one I wanted but it was still very delicious! I will definitely be back just because of the nice friendly service and good food!

Always a pleasure! I crave their food. It’s always great and fresh. Not just burgers, but crispy fries. My favorite sweet potato fries. And the BEST homemade humus I ever had!

This place is disgustingly over priced. I paid 10.50 for the hot link plate which is litterally two hot links with a side. Unimpressive. Omelette was rubbery as if it was cooked with no fat. Somekind of nasty jarred mushrooms inside? Funny thing is, everyone who walks in is raving about the joint. I am glad they have such loyal customers maybe they won’t miss my business that much. I will never return.

Garlic Fries!!! They have the best garlic fries I have ever had, and I think that is saying something. The burgers were wonderful! My girlfriend had the caliente burger and loved it. I had the mushroom burger and loved that as well.
Food was better than expected and the location /​ambiance was awesome. Nice and relaxing casual food on a Sunday afternoon!

After a long drive from crescent city we stopped into, d’s diner. Mainly we were drawn in because of the les claypool song and was pleasantly surprised to find the food lived up to the reviews, also we were greeted by the owner and told our food was made with love. Also the staff/​family were friendly as well we would for sure eat here again on our way through

Wonderful stop on the way between Sea Ranch and Santa Rosa. Just by the luck of the draw… and boy our luck was great. Yes the gyros, fish and chips and of course cheese burger were great. But more importantly was the kindness the owner showed his customers. For that alone I’ll be back.

Great food, great owners with an old-​time Drive In feel. The first thing you will notice when you’re there, is how friendly and welcoming the staff/​owners are. I highly recommend trying it for the great food and the friendly atmosphere. I give this and all thumbs up

This place is awesome! The menu is huge and the service is relatively fast and ALWAYS super friendly! I always get the D’s Special and its pretty bomb. The milkshakes are super delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to grab a quick bite. Little tip: When I’m going to see a movie in town, I like to stop here and get a burger and fries to sneak into the theater. Way better than movie theater food, and much cheaper I’m sure!

Why I love this place? After my 2^nd visit the owners greet me by name every week. Yes, every week I come for my cheeseburger fix, topped off with fries and chocolate shake.
In addition to great food and personal (outstanding) service I enjoy the occasional sample. Taste of hummus, baklava made from scratch, or other goodie.
The falafel is also awesome and I enjoy working my way through the menu, especially the Sunday Brunch.
My only suggestion… a lamb dish would be a great addition to the menu, if even on a «special» basis.

I can’t believe I am just reviewing this gem now! I have been going here since I was a teenager and they have seriously stepped their game up! Walk into a classic diner, but order a grass fed burger! Yessss! I am so happy with the options for people who care. This is still a locally run business and always delicious! My favorite on the menu is definitely the grass-​fed burger with avocado! Yummmm! Plus some sweet potato fries to share, since their burgers are HUGE! I can’t rave enough about how friendly, nice, respectful, intelligent and will make your food exactly how you want it people/​employees, even the owner will go out of his way to make sure you are satisfied. Not that I have ever been unsatisfied, lol! They also have a wide variety of breakfast… hmmm…I think I will try the D’s special next time! That sounds good! Eggs, spinach and some more yummyness! I am ordered by my doc to eat red meat at least once a month, so I always make sure to get it from the best of the best. Nieman Valley grass fed beef always gets 5 stars in my book and luckily, that is what is on the menu. Plus the people here and ambiance seriously rock! I feel like a teenager again walking in here. :)) Bravo! Another local business hitting the ball out of the park! REAL milkshakes too! It doesn’t get any better at any diner around here! Please try the sweet potato fries with their delicious mustard dip, if you love sweet potatoes, yummmmmm!!! Thank you D’s! You are AWESOME! !!!

OK, OK… really have to update my stars and review: Been going here at least once a month now, since January 2015, and have to admit, their Cheeseburgers ROCK! They are always done «just right», flavorful and juicy. The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. This is slowly becoming my go to place when in town — Thank You D’s for changing my mind with constantly good food! and good customer service. See you again soon :-)

Authentic food and atmosphere. if you want a burger or a breakfast burrito any time of day, you’ll like it here. We always say that we’ll try the Mediterranean choices on the menu, but somehow the burgers always smell so good we end up with those. If you decide to try out the Baba Ganouj or the Mideastern Omelette, be sure to let us know.

Excellent bbq chicken and tasty coleslaw. Owner operates the place and makes you very much to home. Gotta love this guy. Portions are plenty. A really nice outside seating area in the shade and away from traffic. Skip the sprouts and tofu for a meal and dig into this bbq!

Very disappointed. Looks like a great location and awesome décor, but my food experience was just «ok»
The mushroom burger lacked much taste, and was on par with something from Carl’s Jr. Cheap bun, semi dry meat. I also paid an extra 3.50 for onion rings and received 6 onion rings. Definitely not a bargain. $ 15.50 for a mushroom burger, 6 onion rings and no beverage. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Our food took longer than expected and was nothing particularly special. The onion rings were almost tasteless; prebreaded and frozen with little flavor. But the menu was pretty large and had breakfast and Mediterranean items that I still might like to try in the future, such as baba ganoosh and falafel.

Watch your step! The tile outside is a trip hazard, I’ve seen several people trip and fall there.
Also, I immediately felt ill after eating the Chorizo Scramble and felt ill for two days.

Muso the owner is very friendly and attentive to his unique classic Diner-​Mediterranean eatery.
Our group ordered the hummus (order extra warm pita) which was fresh and tasty. Additionally we ordered two of their signature burgers, a TRI-​tip sandwich along with crinkle-​cut fries and sweet potato fries and of course someone in our group had to order a full stack of the D’a Diner pancakes!
Heinz products on every table too!
Sodas were served in cans versus fountain style was the only negative element of our visit. Four of us ate for $ 64 including the tip.
We will likely return the next time we are in Sebastopol.

D’s Diner is very close to my house and I have been here multiple times. There are good and not so good things about D’s —
Excellent — 5 stars
— they offer Niman Ranch Grass Fed beef — if you are looking for a healthier burger — this is the way to go! I don’t even mind paying $ 2.50 more. We always get the Mel’s Magic Burger — excellent bacon too!
— D’s Special Breakfast — spinach with eggs, bacon and spicy red sauce — YUM!
— Service — always with a smile and cheerful attitude.
— Open until 9pm and even if you walk in at 10 minutes till — they will cook your food!
— good local coffee
Not so good — the reason they only have 3 stars
— a good burger place should have GREAT fries. The fries at D’s are BLAH. I even threw a bunch of cajun seasoning on them when I got home to try and make them better — no dice. Please get better fries — Caprara’s in Penngrove has the best fries in the county — I am pretty sure they are frozen but they are GREAT. Please get better fries.
