Seating: This is a very small restaurant with limited seating so reservations are suggested. Décor: The interior is tastefully decorated with functional furnishings. Price: The dishes are a bit pricey and on the date I visited I ordered chicken salad, sizzling rice soup, and Kung Pao chicken for a tad over $ 30. I did have the Groupon offer which cut the price in half. The dishes at full price are worth the price even without any discounted offer. Quantity: The portions are perfect. You will not receive huge dishes of food piled to the ceiling, but instead, the quantity of food you ought be eating in the first place. Since I had to spend the full value of the Groupon and I was dining alone, I left with a bagful of food to enjoy… tomorrow. Presentation: Every item brought to the table had a lot of flair which enhanced the overall appeal of the dish adding elegance and sophistication to the meal. I was extremely impressed! Taste: I thought the food was seasoned well and it did not taste like I just consumed a ton of salt. Pleasant.

My favorite Chinese food in Sonoma, County! The service is great and always a pleasure to see familiar faces after coming in so often! My standard order with friends: Pumpkin Curry, Walnut Shrimp, Lemon Chicken, Formosa Fried Rice(MUSTORDER), and the Chow Mien! Also get the Thai Iced Tea to drink! Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed! I feel bad for the people who put bad reviews on here and say«not coming back» cause they’re missing out! OHWELL! More food for me and my friends!!!

Service was very good. Food was simply hit and miss. Some plates where really good and some just bland and boring.

We got veggie dinner set for two and dragon roll. They are delicious and more than we can eat. Good food and quiet environment. The food style includes Chinese, Japanese, Southeast Asian fusion. Overall, a good Asian restaurant.

My husband an I usually get Bamboo. We hit this place up on a day when Bamboo was closed. LOVEIT!!! Plus, they’re a block away so when my pregnancy cravings kick in, it’s FAST. Spring rolls are my FAVE. The chow mien, lemon chicken love it. My husband loves the pork fried rice. I just sent him to get me some won ton soup. Excited about that!!! My husband says the staff are very friendly. Don’t pass this place up when you’re scrolling through Unilocal like I did. Wish I had tried it long ago

Decided to visit this sushi restaurant for some vegetarian sushi. Being that we were not very hungry we only ordered one chef roll. The waitress then came out and asked if we wanted to put another order in before the kitchen closes. We politely said no thank you. A minute later another waitress came out and asked the same question. Again we said no thank you again and she said that there is a minimum order of $ 8.95 per person. I have never heard this for any restaurant in my life so I questioned what she said so she pulled up the menu and in the fine print in the bottom it said minimum $ 8.95 per guest. She more or less made us buy more food. As for the sushi, rolls are small even the $ 13 ones. Service is nonexistent(there was only one other table is the restaurant) Only reason I gave them 2 stars is because they give you a free small desert(one strawberry with honey on top) Overall don’t waist your time at this money hungry Chinese establishment

My coworker and I decided to give this restaurant a try after she bought a groupon for it. We showed up on a weekday evening and it was very quiet — only two other customers beside from us. The line server was friendly but despite few customers that day she still didn’t check up on us frequently — we had to ask for water refills and other stuffs. We ordered mu shu pork and it was average — would’ve been much better if it weren’t so salty. Chow fun was probably the best item we ordered but again there was no wow factor there. We also ordered a beef vegetable dish(can’t remember what it’s called anymore as it was recommended by the server) and that was also average. Food generally was salty — we had to keep on asking for more water. Overall, there wasn’t much to impress and satisfy our taste buds — probably why they have a groupon deal going on.

I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. OMG, this place is so great. Tucked in a quiet little shopping center. I made reservations and was treated so kindly on the phone. Stepped into a new world as we were shown to our table. Charming setting with anxious to please wait staff. Every plate that arrived was beautifully displayed, I can’t remember a time where I enjoy the evening as much as I did tonight. After completely cleaning our plates a lovely strawberry arrived as our sweet dessert. Delightful touch. I’m so glad I ventured out and had a lovely night to remember. I will definitely return. Thank you so much. Oxoxox

We ordered pumpkin curry and three sushi rolls all with brown rice. Super delicious, there was also a free strawberry and honey desert. The chopsticks were re-useable hard wood and the soy sauce was not in plastic which is great. Would definitely eat here again.

This is a fabulous place to eat. The specials are always fresh and amazing, and we love the hot and sour soup. The head chef Gloria is a creative genius.

I got the groupon and had very nice Fire Sushi! Best crab rangoons ever! Really good orange chicken and topped it off with deep fried banana and green tea ice cream! I would definitely recommend this place!

I read some great reviews on this place and since Sebastopol is severely lacking in decent Thai food restaurants decided I must go and try their pumpkin curry. We went for lunch on a weekday. We were the only people there but by the service you’d think they had a packed house. Calamari appetizer, nice after waiting 30 minutes. A very few pieces of tasty calamari and maybe a tablespoon of dipping sauce. As in gone after 3 of the pieces of calamari. No server anywhere to be seen to ask for more. Finally, here comes the pumpkin curry. I’m glad the menu described it as pumpkin curry since it was mostly just tofu. And the tiny pieces of pumpkin still had pieces of skin on them and were closer to raw than cooked. Which is odd since at this point we had been waiting for over an hour for our food. The portion was beyond meager even for a light eater like myself. I probably could of eaten three orders but just one was bad enough. And then the bill! A cup of rice, normally always included with a curry dish, $ 3. A 5oz glass of generic wine $ 9.95. No charge for the water that never arrived. After waiting for ages for the bill and still feeling hungry, we left and left a very small tip. Two female employees were sitting at a table by the door and as we walked out neither even bothered to say, «Thank-You for coming». Yeah, well, we won’t be coming back that’s for sure.

My boyfriend and I stopped in to grab take out the night before last. My boyfriend ordered General Tso’s Chicken which was not on the menu and they didn’t hesitate to say they could make it. It was exceptionally spiced. I ordered the drunken noodle. I’m one of those people that orders the same few dishes every time I go out for Asian food, so it’s pretty easy to compare restaurants. This was the best drunken noodle I’ve ever had. I ate so much, it hurt. You guys just won a loyal customer. It was a few dollars more than the usual kind of place but the portions were HUGE-AH, and the delicious factor was so off the charts, I don’t care what it costs. Keep it rockin’!

Went tonight with sushi on the brain. Was hoping to get a couple of my favorite rolls, some edamame and what have you. Opened the menu and found there was something missing. Everything Japanese food is no longer on their menu. We felt compelled to stay and order as we were already seated, talked into«monkey brains»(won ton soup) and our drinks. Another customer came in just after us and was just as surprised and I could tell by the look on his face, he felt uncomfortable too. On the plus side, the food was very tasty. We had the eggplant in garlic sauce and cashew chicken. However, as I am on a tight budget, I may have to think twice coming back for just Chinese dishes.

Hooooo mama! Anyone who knows me well enough knows how much I love my sushi. Seriously, I could eat it for all three meals every single day. And Formosa Bistro does NOT disappoint! Tucked away in a strip mall behind McDonalds, Formosa Bistro is a hidden gem in town. Love the sushi, love the entrees, and love the employees! They are super-friendly and accomodating and the food is amazing! The spicy scallop temaki is to die for… and so is the hamachi. I can’t wait to go back and try more!
