Amazing food, casual atmosphere. All fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Nothing crazy, just innovative, delicious cuisine. I love that both my husband and I can enjoy this restaurant, as I am vegan and he is a carnivore. Excellent options for the both of us. They always have a vegan option in each meal category(starter, entrée, dessert), which is not usual. I totally appreciate that. There’s also outdoor seating, so feel free to bring your furry children!

The food was delicious, and our server Rebecca was so gracious and helpful with not only the menu but places to visit around town. What a great introduction to Sebastopol. Parking up the street is part of the expeience all the neat artwork.

I went here with two friends for a late dinner this week upon a recommendation from someone we were staying with in Sebastopol. I thought the food was great! Lots of good vegan/vegetarian-friendly options. My friend and I each got a macro bowl, since that seemed like«the thing» to do here. I got mine with seitan and lemon tahini sauce, while my friend got hers with tofu and the miso ginger sauce. We were a little confused when they came — the bowl itself is very hot apparently, so you scoop some out onto a plate and put some sauce on it, and eat! It took a little more work than I expected, but it was so good! I got to try both sauces, and really liked both. I just wish they would have given us a little more. They say on the menu that they charge an automatic 20% gratuity to support their workers. It was a bit strange, but I was totally fine with it. My Republican friend from Florida, not so much. Ah well, what can you do…

So incredibly good! Had the macro bowl with Rock cod with a miso ginger sauce. Fabulous! Panna cotta also was heavenly.

I don’t really care for this place. I kind of feel like I am always imposing here. Like I need to beg to get a napkin, or a glass of water, or a SEAT. Been there 4 or 5 times, and never had a nice easy experience there. I don’t get the ‘tude. The food was decent, but the service has always been frustrating. Not likely going back. Maybe it’s just not for me, but I wouldn’t send a friend there either. Check your hipster rating in advance, you may not get in…

We had an wonderful brunch here today. I ordered the bacon hash. The eggs were perfectly done. And the homemade ketchup was amazing!!! This was our first visit and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area.

Incredible restaurant. Fresh and tasty food, and literally the BEST chocolate chip cookie I’ve had in my LIFE! Service was good and friendly, ambiance chill and Sonoma-county laid back. I ordered the basic breakfast with 2 poached eggs, bacon, potatoes, and warm greens. And toast and a(bomb) choc. chip cookie. Everything — down to the warm greens– was delicious. The eggs were perfectly poached and organic farm fresh eggs(I could taste the difference!). Bacon was thick and crispy, just how I like it, and even the toast was sumptuous and perfect. My friends had the bacon hash and quiche, and they loved their meals as well. The owner is friendly and cool, and again, if you haven’t tried this place’s chocolate chip cookies, you’re missing out. If I could give 6 stars, I would. Bön appetit!

Made a reservation for Saturday night and had a wonderful experience. The service was on point, the food was delicious, and the wine paired nicely with everything. We started our evening with the antipasta platter, which had just about everything anyone could ever want on it(orzo salad, pickled beets, hummus, roasted garlic, quiche, roasted veggies, and a couple of cheeses). From there we each had a wonderful entrée, me the agnolotti and my partner the linguine and meatballs, both were flavorful and presented nicely. The indoor dining area is a bit small, but the outdoor area is very open and beautiful. I will definitely be making a return visit.

Nice setting and delicious food. Really bothered. By the price for coffee and the non choice tipping for service. I don’t believe the service should be taxed and I was disappointed in the service level. I wish they server made tips, I think it may have yielded a table with pepper and our drinks kept full. I don’t think I’ll be back. mostly because of price.

Friday night stop for restaurant week and came away pleasantly surprised. We had prompt, perfectly paced service from both of the staff. Meatballs in the balsamic glaze were excellent as a starter, and all four selected the cacio e pepe — it was definitely not like the dish is supposed to be — we all agreed it was fettuccini and a little bit of Parmesan and some greens, which is not traditional, no creamy cheese base and little pepper. It was good but not expected. Both desserts were delicious. The butterscotch budino was killer — we all wanted more. The cookie with coconut ice cream(more like a sorbet) was also good and I am not a big coconut fan. Nice interior feel too!

It’s restaurant week in Sonoma County, so last night my friend Thomas and I ate dinner here. We ordered the same meal accept for the dessert, and shared a Neopolaton pizza and a bottle of red wine. It was a first for me and a favorite of his. There have been a few times in my culinary world when I’m thrilled for menu swaps! First course Two small lightly seasoned pork meatballs topped with almond slices and a balsamic glaze. Second course Roast chicken, paired with tender rainbow carrots and the surprise menu swap for polenta instead of the advertised gnocchi. I think it was Cornish hens!!! The meat was so succulent and its golden skin was slightly crispy, the carrots were devine, and the polenta… oh the polenta was PURE perfection!!! Final course He and I shared his vegan chocolate chip cookie sundae with coconut ice cream and my homemade butterscotch pudding topped with fresh whipped cream!!! All that gourmet heavenly splendor for $ 29/person! In addition to the restaurant week menu we also ordered a Neopolaton pizza which was thin crust and sinfully cheesy and paired the whole meal with a bottle of Porter Creek red wine; and if I recall which one I’ll link it in the tip area. Superb night and dining experience!!!

One for good food, the empty stars are for the worse, I mean the most awful service I have received in many years. Seriously, I am not sure which one of the non expressive dolts was actually supposed to be our server. We had to practically beg for them to take our order after waiting in the dark corner for at least 20 min with no one… then wen we did flag someone he begrudging took our order. Did not explain anything, no recomendations, nada. He was pissed cause he was not our server. but I am not totally sure who was our server cause from then on we had to flag someone down. We had the petrale, it was good, but nothing to rave about… two coffees and two pieces of French bread, not offered desert, we had to flag someone again for Bill… and the sticker shock… felt ripped… if you are going to charge top prices… give top service… fail fail fail… I have previously been here three times. each time quite nice… This is so bad. I would like a resolution to this meal. Hope to get one. Sad so sad… but I still so appreciate my dear friend for taking me.

Not a huge fan of the place although the food was good and the service was okay, I’m not really sure we didn’t really like it. Again, nothing I can pinpoint exactly that was bad about it but it was just mediocre. It was recommended too us and talked highly about but it wasn’t something I wanted to go back to.

I love this place. Farm-to-table ingredients, well prepared. I come here for lunch a few times a year when I’m in Sebastopol. Lis of vegetarian options but the have meat and fish too. Teas, espresso, wine. Café-y type atmosphere, very comfortable. Homemade bread, wood burning oven, gorgeous veg side dishes.

I never returned for a meal. But people talk, its sebastopol. So the owner has a bad reputation with having sexual relations with coworkers. Explains why none of them can do a decent job… so in order to make them feel adequate and keep them from quitting he adds a mandatory 20% gratuity. A tip is an EARNEDPRIVILEGE for decent service, not a right because you would rather have cute but incompetent people vs. reputable staff. Such an interesting concept. How did this younger generation get so damn entitled?! Wheres the gratitude and work ethic? Forcing people to tip shitty service is going to ruin you, and its not favoring your employees its giving them even more of an excuse to not do their damn job. You just handed them the only incentive they were working for.

This was one of my favorite restaurants. My bro and I like going there and we had an amazing meal. Just as we were getting ready to go, the owner engaged us. We were getting ready to go and he was trying to subtly rush us, not thinking we were aware. I suspect he needed a table, but the feel of the conversation had ego on his side and he spoke down to me when I dropped the check on the floor. He was basically rude. Peter, I hope you read this. After we left, my bro explained that he was aware of many friends of his and one that worked for you all saying that you have a reputation for being a not nice person. You can use your own words, just try to be more situationally aware and not assume people are stupid enough to miss your nasty nature. Your restaurant might have gotten 5 stars — if you had not jumped in and ruined a good experience with your true self coming out. The bad taste the encounter left leaves you with one measly star. Not sure we will ever return. Kinda sucks, cause I really did like the food and service. But, I am providing a service back. Wake up and has some more awareness. Those that work under you would all like you to know, you are a jerk.

We stopped by for the first time last night, and it was fantastic! We tried the minestrone soup to start, and that was great. I had the mushroom risotto, and my wife got the salsicha pizza. We shared both, and everything was wonderful. The Italian sausage on the pizza was very tasty! And the risotto was loaded with chantrelle and porchini mushrooms, and packed with spectacular flavor! We both really enjoyed our meal here. The food, service, and atmosphere were all very wonderful! I would highly recommend trying this place!

First the good. The concept and the soup. The minestrone soup was excellent and decent size — which, later we realized was out-of-sync with every other portion of food we got. They did charge $ 3 for a slice of bread to go with the soup. OK…now for the rest. 1) Portions 2) Pizza 3) Value We were a party of 4. One ordered tortellini($ 19). They got 6 quarter-sized tortellini and a tiny remnant of onion. That person was pathetically looking at anything else they could eat. It was a SMALL appetizer at best, not a meal! The lamb($ 28) was 5 bites of meat. There were some beans on the plate, but again, hardly enough to feel like it was enough food, much less worth $ 28. The portions are so small… you need to plan a second stop at a different restaurant to get a meal. OH… and the PIZZA. So, we ordered the pizza to go because we thought, well were all still hungry but we’ll take it home. When we lifted up the box of pizza to leave, we had to check to make sure anything was in it because it was so light weight. The pizza was a glorified cracker with a small — and I do mean SMALL smattering of whatever with the thinest layer of sauce and cheese. We order lamb or sausage and it was infinitesimal to find — except for a small bone which nearly broke my tooth. Found that. It was horrid pizza to eat as a left over. It was a brittle, cracker-like substance that barely was tolerable and not worth the box we brought it home in. Which leads me to value. We’ve been to restaurants all over NAPA, Healdsburg, and Sonoma County. There have been a few that I’d say were over-valued. But this one takes the cake — BYFAR! To top it off, after we ordered TWO-to go pizzas with PLowell just to get more to eat, they came out with the bill and told us that there was a 20% tip tacked on! Are you kidding? Here’s your food and we demand our 20% tip. THAT tipped me over the edge. So for a meal for four it was way over $ 125 — with no wine and 1 Orange juice $ 4.50(which was so small it was barely a shot glass) and 1 root beer $ 4.00. That was it on beverages. Bottom line, I was peeved by the 20% compulsory charge — I normally tip 15−18% anyways, and sometimes 20% if the service was great. The service was somewhat surly, time-consuming and they forgot several things we asked for including telling us that it was $ 3 extra for each piece of bread for the soup. We ordered 4. We realized that they also charged 10% tip on the TO-GO order pizza. The arrogance of that. I probably would have tipped on it but, it felt like a kick in the empty stomach after we bought it simply to fill up from the famine-worthy sized portions. Worst over valued restaurant that I have ever been to.

Food is good. Four stars. Service and portion is 2 stars. Homemade jam is amazing. Pappardelle is good but is way too little portion — I finished(as a 94 pounds girl) it in like 5 mins. Too many bugs in their outdoor area. I reserved in advance but they didn’t get the table ready when we arrived. Also, don’t know why they auto-charge 20% service fee. Sad. Really want to give them two stars if it’s not because their great jam.

Heard rave reviews from a Sebastopol local for the dinner items here, so perhaps things were just not quite there for brunch. While the smoked salmon hash was astonishingly healthy in its incorporation of greens and what tasted basically like boiled potatoes, there wasn’t much to it that stood out flavor-wise. Thankfully, the pancakes topped with cinnamon maple syrup were mad derricious — fluffy and accented very nicely by the spices. Do try and get a table outside as the patio’s gorgeous in the morning. Service was just adequate and I’d skip the coffee — pre-made Four Barrel via French press that had a harsh and sour finish… hardly drinkable without a good dose of cream.
