The Original Merry Pop-In Nannies

We hired two wonderful sitters from Merry Pop-​In Nannies to spend a day watching six kids, aged 20 months to 6 years, during a private event in Sonoma, CA. Barbra Anne was friendly, quickly responded to emails, and answered all my questions. The two sitters were great — outgoing, and kept the kids entertained! Highly recommended!

I recently hired a nanny for my two grandsons in Sonoma, CA for my daughter’s wedding events there and was very pleased with the assistance ahead of time provided by Barbra Anne Schneider and for the loving care provided by nanny Michele over the course of the 3 evenings she was hired to care for the two boys. My husband and I were invited to a wedding in Sonoma, we debated whether to bring our 8 month old or not and decided to make a vacation of it and to bring him. We had a sitter for the wedding but needed someone the night of the rehearsal and dinner.
I emailed Barbara a few weeks before the weekend and she was great getting back to me and providing the information I needed to choose between her service and other nanny. My son has wheat and egg allergies so I am very picky about who watches him after speaking on the phone with Barbara I knew I was making the right choice.
The night he was being watched I was at the rehearsal so I didn’t meet Barbara my husband did, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable at first but my husband said I had nothing to worry about she seemed like a great fit with my son. When we got home that night I knew Barbara took great care of my son, we had a detailed report of what he did, ate and his diaper changes. I would highly recommend and use Barbara if we ever return to Sonoma.

Barbara watched my 2 ½ year daughter and my 8 week old daughter at our hotel for a wedding we were attending in Santa Rosa. Barbara did a great job and kept in touch with me the entire night via text message. She brought toys and fun snacks for the toddler and had her distracted before we even walked out the door. Both were asleep when we got back and happy in the morning! I will definitely use Barbara again when we are up there.

I’m giving The Original Merry Pop-​In Nannies a 2 because the purpose in hiring them was to have them watch my son during my wedding ceremony. I didn’t want to inconvenience family members or friends so contacted Barbra. As I came down the aisle to meet my now husband, my little man who is only 22 months old came to us to be held. He couldn’t stop crying; I looked everywhere for the nanny as she was no where near. I had to ask my dad, the father of the bride take him away as no one was coming to get him — my poor lil man and daddy. When guests saw that my dad had to get up to leave the ceremony, others left as well so that my dad could go back to his seat. This wasn’t right. When I returned from my honeymoon and heard what had happened, I was astonished and not happy. Hiring Original Merry Pop-​In Nannies, I had my dad and guests leave the ceremony to cater to my son. Finally, the nanny was found and watched him the entire night including watching him sleep for hours. I’ll give them that. Will I use their service again, no I will not sadly to say.

After our December wedding, we somehow knew that we’d use Merry Pop-​Ins again! And sure enough. there was a concert we really wanted to go in Napa, however living in Santa Clara, it’s quite a drive there and back, so our usual babysitter wasn’t an option. Well. I wrote to Barbra, and she promptly booked a nanny for us.
Michele was lovely, our daughter was already familiar with her from the wedding, and they had a lot of fun. Thanks so much Michele and Barbra!
