We had a great experience at Trader Bucks today. I saw an item posted on Craigslist that I was interested in. I emailed the store and they got back to me right away. Before making the 20 minute drive from Santa Rosa to look at the item I looked them up here on Unilocal and got very worried per the reviews. So I went with an open mind. SOGLAD I WENT! They were very open to dealing on the price, which we appreciated, so much so that we ended up walking out of the store with a picnic bench and two amazing statues, all at good prices we were more than pleased with. We don’t have a truck so we were able to arrange delivery with the store manager, which was great. Trader Bucks is full of odds and ends and random items. Go with an open mind that you may or may not find what you are looking for, but if you get lucky like we did you may find some absolute treasures! Pics of what we got along with pricing posted for your reference.

I saw a cast aluminum garden set on Craigslist Peeling paint, missing two chairs. Okay price if in better condition. But what caught my attention was the seller claiming it was an antique from the 1800s… which I knew was impossible(cast aluminum didn’t exist until much later). So I emailed Trader Bucks and let them know they were misinformed, then sent them am advertisement that showed the exact same set selling BRANDNEW in 2010! Someone who calls him/herself«Fallenangel» wrote back telling me off and insulting me like a 14 year old kid. Antique dealers? Yeah, right… Steer clear.

Jenn, who works at Trader Bucks emailed me and offered to refund my money that was overpaid. She stated that there was miscommunication between her and the man who works there. I thanked her for making it right. But I still believe that when you are a dealer you should post as much in your Craigslist adds.

on a drive by, it’s looks like Trader Buck’ neighbor is having a going out of business sale. merchandise is stacked in front of the store. no doubt T.B. will have something on sale too. seen the signs for a couple weeks. may drop by sometime. can’t resist a sale…

Lots of fun, interesting items. And they’ll bargain with you if you make a reasonable offer.

Trader Buck is small and claustrophobic stuffed with Meh stuff. I really would just pass on this place because there are so many other larger shops on HWY116 nearby.

Love this place! The men who run it are so accommodating and helpful. I was looking for a particular size table to use as a printer stand, and they spent time walking around measuring every possible option — even cut off the legs when I found the right table so it would be a perfect fit where I needed it. They have an interesting assortment of furniture and dishes, can deliver locally, too.
