We have used The Warm Zone in Sebastapol for over 20 years. They have replaced an ancient boiler with a modern hyper-efficient one and have converted 3 rooms from baseboard radiators to subfloor heating. Those guys really know what they are doing, and I have almost entirely positive experiences with them. I think that much of their business is commercial, but they also do residential installations and repairs.

My system has worked great for over 10 years. one manufacturer issue at year 3 was handled quickly and efficiently at no cost thanks to their research. The radiant heat system we chose is baseboard — the whole family loves it — efficient quiet and clean … if i get the systems replaced — if ever, things do have a life expectancy– i will get the latest combo system to do both Heating and domestic hot water as the advise…

We were really quite happy with this company before and during installation of radiant heat and radiators for our entire house. They were nice, always on time, seemed to do a good job, etc. However, it has been over a year and our hot water heater does not work properly. My husband and I have contacted them about 10 times — via email, voicemails, spoken to employees at the company, etc. They don’t call us back. We explain that there is an error message from the hot water heater and we have to step outside of the suddenly cold shower to reset it – sometimes as much as 3 times during a shower. Yeah, it’s getting old, and cold! Once after complaining 3 times in a week we saw Joe, I think he’s the owner, in our backyard looking at the hot water heater. Um, hi, did you maybe try calling or knocking?! I don’t know what he learned from that visit but our hot water heater still doesn’t work properly. At this point even a call back to refer us to someone else would be nice. I’ve informed our contractor and interior designer about their terrible customer service and suggested they do their business with someone else. I even told Warm Zone that I was going to do that AND leave a bad Unilocal review I then I waited 2 days to give them one last chance to call me back, apparently they don’t care. It’s kind of amazing. I gave them 2 starts instead of one because our radiant heat and radiators work and the installation went well. We did have a problem with the radiant heat staying on and it sweltering in here and they fixed that promptly. Apparently they just don’t care about the hot water heaters and our shower needs.
