We LOVE their Northern Pasta with veggies. It ROCKS! They have one of the freshest salads around. Their garlic bread is so yummy. The servers are very professional, well informed and very friendly. Cowpokes is Sebring’s best secret.

If ordering a sandwich and want to substitute the fries or chips for something else, forget it. Can’t imagine an owner/manager having such a customer-unfriendly policy of no menu substitutions. How difficult is it to substitute a small salad or another vegetable for greasy fries? At least the server was polite when explaining that she had gotten similar requests but the owners wouldn’t budge. Then we ordered the veggie skewers and the server came back to our table and told us they were out of this item. Really — out of vegetables at 5 p.m. So we paid for our drink and left. This was only our second time here but will be our last.

Our server, Maria Rubi, was very attentive and provided excellent service. My husband was in the mood for a huge juicy steak, and the ribeye hit the spot. I had the ahi-barely seared — delicious. We started with the crab bisque, which included nice chunks of crab. The bottomless salad was accompanied by a refreshing home-made dressing. We ended the meal with a cheesecake(me) and key lime pie(him). If you’re in the mood for a hearty, satisfying meal, this is the place. Now I have to end my review so I can walk off my meal.

Great price and atmosphere. By far the best best veggie burger to be had in the Sebring area

Had a 40th birthday party for my niece, they reserved the private room for us, had an amazing waitress named Nikki, and the whole staff was in on the surprise and made sure the guest of honor was truly surprised. The band last night was RYEROAD, WOW they were really good. Food amazing! Great place, great staff, and great band!

Cowpoke’s is a steak place. And it’s a country-western bar with a huge dance floor where on some nights, they do line dancing lessons. I particularly liked that the kitchen is completely open so you can keep an eye on things. I went with the sirloin steak, cooked medium rare and a loaded baked potato. Of course, their bottomless salad arrives. When you’re at a table for one, you get a plate. Bigger parties get a big bowl and serve themselves. Woe is me. The steak arrived while I was watching a party of ladies learn how to line dance. It was the right size(though a good bit of fat on the side had to be trimmed) and cooked properly. The potato was perfectly done and had actual bacon in it, not just bits. Nice flavor for the steak, highlighted with a bit of horseradish. Another line dancing lesson to watch and be amused by as I finished my dinner and beer. Interesting little dinner spot.

Best steak in the HC! Topped with garlic butter and so delicious. Always fresh and something to offer for any foodie! Beer is always cold and the live music is sure to draw a good crowd. A long-time local favorite :)

If you are using your Unilocal App in Highlands County, this places sticks out in a good way with a plethora of 4 star reviews! Like a good Cowpoke, I moseyed on over to check it out. There were very few horses hitched outside but plenty of cars. Pro Tip– There is a very large back parking lot and it’s arranged do that you can often find a shady spot. When it’s 94 degrees outside that is much appreciated. Everyone has a style of restaurant/bar that they prefer so what can you expect here? The restaurant is very large and just slightly dim with an open kitchen off to one side. The inside bar is quite small with probably ten or a dozen stools. I sat on one and my bartender was excellent. Friendly and competent is always a good thing. They make up for the small inside bar with a huge outside Tiki bar. It may be outside but as it’s Central Florida, thank God its covered. They have live entertainment out there on the weekends. That must scare the hell out of the horses! The menu here is one of those something-for-everyone deals. There is tons of pub grub but there are also high-end steaks, grilled lobster tail and scallops. With a drink or two you could have a $ 20 casual meal or have a $ 40-$ 50 fine dining experience. Although I haven’t tried them, several folks have told me the gator bites are excellent. If you are in the Sebring area, even if you don’t own a horse, these folks should be on your short list.

It took us 3+ years but we finally stopped in here. What a great find in Highlands County! The wait staff was very nice, though our server was a tiny bit flighty(though she did apologize when she realized she forgot to follow up on our requests). The food was surprisingly good(don’t give me that look, there aren’t that many quality restaurants out here in the sticks!) … and the portions were fairly huge! The oyster stew was super rich(no, really — share this with someone or you’ll have a tummy ache!) and the house dressing was tasty! We will definitely be back!

The only place to eat in town as just about everything closes at 8:00 pm The food here is inconsistent at best If you should eat here do not sit at Danille’s table she thinks the kitchen should make sure all the sides are are on plate before she brings it to the table Try to smile Danille’s it may help improve your tips it’s not the kitchens fault.

Do not, I mean do not pass this place by. Smoked chicken wings appetizer, brisket sandwich, beef philli cheese steak, meat smoked to perfection, $ 33.17 Even the ice tea was great. I don’t often post a 5 star review, but I will return here! Ask for a waitress named Brandy. She was awesome.

We came here with my family to celebrate my stepfather’s birthday. The food is fantastic. We tried the calamari and fried chicken wings as appetizers. The wings were spectacular! For dinner I had a 6 ounce filet with blue cheese on top and the chips. it was slightly overcooked and I sent it back. They had it back to me in a flash and it was perfection. I tried some of my wife’s seared ahi tuna and it was very delicious. I definitely would suggest this place to anyone.

Sat outside in the tiki with a friend and Nikki waited on us. We had the Mahi Mahi. I had it blackened and he had it grilled. We both liked our dishes and Nikki provided great personal service. We may go back before the week is over.

Quite the fun place. The southern charm and comfort food is outstanding. We enjoyed the atmosphere to too things off. In a small town where precious little is available for entertainment, this stop cured the itch!

We ate here on Friday night and sat under the amazing Tiki hut at a table close to the bar. Service was excellent and the New York Strip steak was phenomenal! The bottomless salad is excellent, with a very nice house dressing. We had our main entrees very quickly. By all means, get the Maytag Blue Cheese on your steak — you won’t believe how good it is.

Similar to Kathy R’s review from last year, I had to almost tackle a waitress to find out who was assigned to our table. We had a birthday to celebrate tonight, and unfortunately, the only thing that was good was the onion ring tower. Our food was warm at best and the service was«eh». Our waitress, Kerry, was probably assigned way too many tables because she looked pretty«frazzled». The owner came by twice to ask about the food. I should have spoken up, but I did not wish to embarrass the birthday gal. I will not return — coming from a town where service is a person’s livelihood, we were not impressed. Will I return? Probably not. We spent a lot of money on food and alcohol and to walk away feeling that we did not receive our money’s worth… oh well.

After a full day of fishing, you’re hungry enough to eat gas station hot dogs but The Watering Hole exceeded expectations. They have a huge tiki bar outside with a live band, the inside is very«Bass Pro» feel with stuffed wildlife on the wall instead of cheesy restaurant paintings. Our table had fried green tomatoes(my personal fav) zucchini fries, calamari, gator bites and a chicken bacon ranch burger; all great! I have to say that I’m kind of a ranch dressing diva and they have hands down the best ranch dressing I’ve ever had, it’s got the perfect amount of zest! Our server was pleasant and our food was prepared quickly. Overall, a perfect ending to a great Saturday!
