Rodeway Inn Meadowlands

This hotel is right next to the highway, thus difficult and dangerous to enter, the guy from the little check-​in window, because they don’t have lobby (I didn’t see a Lobby anywhere), was very sarcastic, the breakfast room only has 3 tables and everybody crashes with each other, the room was old, the bathroom had mold and was clogged, the A/​C didn’t cool and made so much noise that we couldn’t sleep well, it’s scary to walk to the bus stop, day and night, I don’t recommend this hotel, if you pay $ 20 more you can stay in a better place.

I had a previous review of this place while I was still located in this area, but one of the owners (Indian Lady) really had the nerve to knock in the room and threaten to kick my patient out because of an honest Opinion of the place. Here is a thing to remember, any worthwhile experience will always be remembered but a negative one can never be forgotten. In this hotel, we loved the Indian couple who cleans rooms and the Filipino lady who also cleans. The guy that works during the day in the lobby is also nice but his wife is just a really nasty person for all the wrong reasons. My patient was going through a really rough situation but ended up temporarily in this hotel but with on going problems without being specific, this Indian lady manages to put blame on the parent because we could not always make it to come there. She did not understand the situation and it wasn’t her business to know. Yes. This place will rent their rooms to Wellfare dependent people. It can be a good thing or bad. But a little niceness or kindness goes a long way. This Indian lady was not nice at all. I usually love Indian people and they are always peaceful but this lady is just different. She isn’t nice the way she treated my patients mom who had such a hard time and struggled while trying to get out of there. This lady loved to have the last word and she thought that was the way to do business but I do know one thing… One day she will give it to someone who doesn’t care and she will end up getting something she deserves. So you never know who you will rent rooms to because you can’t do background checks but I know that’s how you make your money. Some facts about this place: we saw bed bugs on the beds on 2 occasions. (The lady was fuming when I wrote that). Also, one time when we came back to the room we noticed The pipe broke in the bathroom sink and had to get fixed. And the window had a big crack on it and the panel would always open by itself from time to time. Lastly, their elevator is broken at least every 2 weeks. All in all this place wasn’t bad but the lady needs to go to etiquette school for someone to teach her some manners. I will never recommend this place to anyone because of HER.
