Beautiful view and great for a short afternoon trip! Great place for a nice quick view of the mountains without driving to the mountains. The hiking is really limited. If you are wanting to hike a lot this is not the best location.

Daniels Park is unlike any other Denver park. I happen to live about a mile from here and love to visit for sunsets! Absolutely beautiful!

I have so many wonderful memories here, growing up just down the road. Daniels Park is absolutely breathtaking.

Amazing views! Get place to picnic with the family. Not much hiking here. Go further to the north in the dirt road and you will come across more hikes/trails. Daniels park is worth the stop to take a picture on the way to your hike.

Amazing gem! A great place for runners and hikers. As a trail runner you can find some great hidden area that go for miles. Keep in mind that some of the trails are private, so respect them. Due to the limited access they only get 4 starts… GUYS we should ALL be able to enjoy the trails… open them up!!!

I love the views from Daniel’s Park. You can see the entire front range with all sorts of wildlife. I have seen huge herds of elk roaming the area which they share with the buffalo that reside in the Park. It is over 1,000 acres and feels even more expansive than that when you are there. I hesitate to rave too much because it feels unspoiled despite its close proximity to large population centers. It is so close for me and I love getting away for a picnic, hike or just a leisurely walk to photograph the area.

Beautiful views of the front range and the Sanctuary Golf Course! You can’t beat the colors as they change throughout the day. The best time to be at the park is for the gorgeous Colorado sunset. This is a Denver park located within Douglas County. The land was donated to the city as a gift. There are over 1,000 acres, with most of it being used as a Bison preserve. There is also a section of the park that is dedicated to Native American ceremonial use. You will find a shelter house with a handful of picnic tables and grills. There is a restroom located close to this shelter. There are a number of picnic tables scattered about the park. Some areas also have a fire-pit, all offering eye catching views of the front range. The tables can not be reserved, it’s first come first serve. If it’s a lovely evening the tables can fill up. Friday evening was quite popular. People continued to trickle into the park the closer it got to sunset. That seemed to be the main attraction. Hiking trails are located throughout the park. There are some rocky areas, so be sure to wear the appropriate foot wear. Even some of the picnic areas are hard to reach, but they offer a more secluded atmosphere. This is a wonderful place to just be, and take in the amazing view!
