Starbucks

This is by far the SLOWEST Starbucks around. It shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to get through the drive thru and there have been times I sat there for up to 20! The parking lot is beyond even talking about… WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!?

Pulled in at 7am to the drive through and ordered two venti, plain drip coffees, two breakfast sandwiches and a piece of banana bread. «I can do all of that for you!», exclaimed the employee. She read our order back to us and left off the banana bread, added it back on and said she’d have a new total at the window. 15 minutes later we pulled up to the window and were handed a grande white chocolate mocha. Ummm, we asked for two venti pikes. «Can I get a venti pike on the fly?!», we hear from inside. On the fly?! You had 15 minutes! After we had our coffees handed to us, we were wished a good day. Ummm, we ordered two breakfast sandwiches, and banana bread?
«Oh», the window worker vacantly expressed, «they didn’t put your order in».
17 minutes in the drive thru, two coffees and no food later we pulled away in frustration! Don’t know how you have someone whisper their order in your ear and not put it in.
This trip was a waste of valuable time on an early morning trip to KC and the vacancy and cluelessness of the employees was irritating at best. Do yourself a favor, go across the street to McDonald’s, you’ll spend a fraction of the money and time.
Two Thumbs Down.

Drinks were on point and the staff was very friendly. Not very much seating at this location and a little loud because the seating is close to the blenders. Parking is also a little tight outside.

Update review: since the last time I’ve reviewed, this location has gotten better. Seems like new employees, even though one of the girls is extremely rude, but the guy Atticus that works there is extremely friendly and very helpful! 5 stars on his part!

The staff here knows me, my drink and my favorite food. Best service in town.

Something about sitting in Starbucks is relaxing, especially in my little home town. It makes me feel cosmopolitan if even for a few minutes. I used to really dislike Starbucks but since this little shop opened I’m a fan. It’s good, huge corporation or not, and the people are friendly. Regular coffee is still skunky but with enough cream its good. Mixed coffees are excellent as usual.
