I can see why the Desert Quail is so highly ranked on Trip Advisor! Everything about this little place was awesome. The man who worked the front desk the entire time during our stay was extremely friendly and very helpful. The rooms are a little older but we had no problems with that. The room was very clean and we had zero problems with anything in our room. Our room had wonderful shower pressure and consistent hot water. I have zero negative things to say about my stay here. I would recommend this motel to anyone visiting Sedona for any length of time. This location might not be for everyone since it’s a little down the road from the main drag in Sedona. Since most people have a rental car while visiting Sedona I don’t see that as a negative. If you’re looking for a hotel to be able to walk to and from while visiting the main drag this motel wouldn’t work for you.

Very clean and very stylish for the price. Gabby was most helpful with anything needed… great customer service. Highly recommended… I’ll be staying here again!

We found this hotel on TripAdvisor; we were a little surprised when we drove in to see it looked like a budget motel. But the rooms are nice inside, having been remodeled fairly recently. Definitely stay on the second floor if you are a light sleeper because you can hear everything on the first floor(which is pretty typical). The king bed was a little firm for my taste but it was spacious. The pillows were a little small. There was a fridge and a microwave, an ironing board and an iron. The toilet was really loud – don’t flush in the middle of the night! The water pressure in the shower was good, which was not the case in a lot of the restrooms around town. The staff was very accommodating, efficient, and friendly. This is a very well run hotel! If you’ve never been to Sedona, be aware that this hotel is actually in Oak Creek, a tiny community 5 miles outside Sedona, so it takes a few minutes to get into town. FYI I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Nice rooms and cheap. The bathroom door hit the toilet when you try to open or close it which was odd and the toilet was very loud. The woman at the front desk when we checked in wasn’t very friendly. Wasn’t patient with us and was more interested in getting us out the door than helping us, even though we were the only ones there. Overall not a bad place to stay. Coffee pot with coffee, tea and hot chocolate was in the room and the bed was nice and big. Pillows were a bit small for the size of the bed. Definitely recommend brining your own pillow.

My wife and I stayed here over the July 4th2015 holiday weekend and were very pleased. The prices were reasonable even during the holiday. Our«king room»(205) was large, clean, and have everything we needed. Upon check-in they even gave us a coupon to use for a discount on our Pink Jeep Tours! Also, it is located in a convenient location with plenty of shops, places to eat, and nice scenic views. The only downfall, in my opinion, is there is no free wifi or decent television channels to watch. I mean there was essentially only infomercials to watch all day and night.

UPDATE !! STILL1STARTHOUGH My hubby n i stayed with a friend instead of this awful hotel room, so we went back in morning to get previous managers info along with the REAL owners contact info just for us to actually meet the owner! Pretty interesting since we were told he was India in less than 12 hours prior from that awful lying manager. Come to find out The«manager«LIED to her owner to cover her ass by leaving a note about us trying to get a FREE upgrade after being in our room for over 30 minutes !! We were absolutely appalled by this experience! I had asked him to even look on any cameras to prove i had my credit card to pay her and he then claimed there’s no cameras in lobby or property !! So its also an unsafe property! Anything could happen to their guests and nothing would be seen !! This owner«nick bhakta» wouldn’t give out his name nor his employees name for us to report him n her. He gave his name as other guests were coming into the lobby. Its very unfortunate there are owners like this that actually were allowed to open up a business. The negativity will spread worst than wildfires. The owner showed us he had pink eye and thats why he was gone at the dr. Yesterday… well now we know desert quail inn is nothing but false hopes. BEAWARE !
