Won’t shop another store if you paid me! I have operated retail stores for many years now, so this review is coming from a business stand point mostly and a consumer lastly. We stayed next door at the Boots and Saddles B&B, they recommend this place as the finest authentic shopping in all Sedona. Man were they right! You walk in and automatically greeted, warm smiles and passionate about their store. Three incredible woman own and operate this store. The energy is just booming throughout it. We were approached and asked if we would like a tour throughout the store to explain where and how each item came about. We accepted kindly and 25 mins later we were hooked!!! I love buying history, and knowing the authenticity behind each purchase. I wish I could duplicate all three of this woman and have them work for me! The selection they have their is just mind blowing, artifacts that just catch your attention and hold it. I am so happy we were directed to this store. So make sure you go, and say hi to Toby(one of the owners) she is a blast! So are the other two and don’t leave without getting a great big hug… Who doesn’t enjoy feeling wanted, loved and appreciated for their business… Probably just for being a smiling face!!! Oh and don’t forgot to get on your knees and say hi to the sweet little daisy dog running around the store to!

We popped in on NYE glad we came by in the am because they were closing early at noon for the holiday. This store has really cool stuff to look at. We walked to it from our hotel. It’s definitely expensive more so than other places I’ve seen selling Native American merchandise. What’s amazing is how much more costly merchandise is in AZ vs NM! For example, I bought a handmade medium-sized drum for my son for $ 50 in NM, but here it’s several hundred dollars! I definitely recommend shopping in Albuquerque for better prices. Today, I bought a pretty pair of Zuni large circular studs for $ 120! Ouch! It’s definitely a different style than I’m used to but very pretty. I bought my son a $ 20 werewolf Kachina. The owner kindly gave us a 10% discount for mentioning we found them online. The store has several rooms of various types of hand made items to peruse around. If you feel like splurging on gifts or souvenirs then it’s a great shop to stop by for purchases. There is definitely a lot to choose from, but it’s expensive.

I bought a Jonah Thompson flute by phone. It was shipped quickly and the flute looks and sounds great. The lady on the phone was pleasant and efficient. When I called back for a tracking number they took the time to look it up and give me an update on the delivery date. Price was below other on-line prices. A+ transaction.

We stayed next door at Boots and Saddles(B&B). They suggested that we stop by Kachina House and take the«tour». The three ladies that run the place are obviously passionate about Native American artwork. The«tour» is a great overview of what they have in their many rooms(filled with artwork made by artisans on the reservation). It was completely informative — I learned a lot more about Native American art that I thought I could in a store… it was more like a museum. The best part about this place is that you know that EVERYTHING is 100% authentic. The second best part is that they sell wholesale to other area shops and to individuals — so you know you’re getting a fair price. We wound up picking up a stunning Acoma Pueblo hand-built water jug and several pieces of jewelry. I highly recommend a stop by this hidden gem of a store. Skip the«uptown Sedona» or «Gallery Row» places and get an education + a great deal on artwork that goes directly back to the artisan.
