HANGSUPONCUSTOMERS — RUDE A’HOLE: I have no idea how nice a job he does. Here’s the reason: I was really excited to have a few upgrades done to my home office. We scheduled an installation of built in shelves. Prior to that installation, I needed some minor electrical work done — my electrician accidentally drilled through the floor. Ugh. Everyone makes mistakes — he apologized, took responsibility, and he offered to pay for the repair. I asked for a referral. That’s how I found Paul. Paul at first seemed like a very helpful guy. I explained that I had a deadline, and he was perfectly happy to come out and get the repair done in time. I was pretty happy that I didn’t have to reschedule my shelf installation. Paul quoted me a price and told me he could come out on Friday or maybe Saturday. Any time before Monday was great, so I said yes. And I didn’t look any further for a vendor. On Thursday he texted stating he could not come out until the following Thursday. I was not angry — just disappointed. I really didn’t want to reschedule the shelf installation. Call me nuts, but I had waited 8 weeks, and I had no idea when they would be available to get this done. So I called Paul to see if he would reconsider. Here is where it gets crazy. He said the reason he could not come out was«I’m on in Hollywood, just added 2 rooms. All my equipment is here, so I need to stay set up…» After listening I simply said that he let me down. I didn’t yell. I didn’t swear. I simply explained that I was counting on him. What I didn’t say was that I had called 20 vendors prior to taking this recommendation and found other vendors just as well reviewed who would do the job in time. But now it was too late to get any of them. Anyway, he hung up. Not a word. Just a giant FU. Now I was a referral. This guy is such an id’ot that he doesn’t even realize how completely stupid it is to screw with referral sources. I hope he does this for a hobby. BTW — just to be sure he didn’t hang up and to give him an opportunity to save himself from his hotheadedness, I texted him that the line dropped, and that I didn’t want him to think I hung up. No response. Not surprised. I did find a vendor. They did excellent work — the got out there on Monday. They were courteous. They were professional. They did a perfect job. The owner followed up to see if I was happy. These guys know how to do business. One thing to note — the«equipment» was 3 tools that could be packed up in 5 minutes. What an inconvenience — just to make a customer, and a possible referral source — happy. ID’OT!

We had our old original wood floors done by Paul and his team and we could not be happier. Not only is the work SPECTACULAR(!) but he is soooo full of knowledge about the wood types and was so very considerate of the newly painted walls. I highly recommend these guys and will definitely be using them again.
