Parked here and made this the first stop on our First Friday Art Walk. We took the free trolley from 6 — 8 p.m. between the different art galleries. We visited about 10 art galleries, all of which had complimentary wine and snacks. It was also really neat to talk with a few of the artists themselves. A fun way to check out the Sedona art scene and local community. If you are in Sedona the first Friday of the month, be sure to check it out!

They teach art here and support local artists in the area. Was here for the plein art festival and enjoyed the range of different styles and subject matter. Should be on every visitor’s must visit list!

The Arts Barn is a fabulous place, Lots of classes, and the students later have shows to showcase their works of art. Not only to they teach classes there is a very nice gallery who sell local art. Every 1st Friday of the month, this gallery along with other galleries open until 8 and serve wine and many of the artists are on hand to answer your questions. It is volunteer based. A must see when you are in Sedona, AZ

I love the fact that Sedona Arts Center has the local artists there — granted, not all of them are working at the same time, but I was able to ask the artist personally about a pair of earrings that were for sale there. She made them, of course, and I get compliments on them each time I wear them. Next time I’m back in Sedona, I’ll definitely stop by!

This is not strictly an art gallery. They teach art here. This was another of the Jordan fruit packing barns. When European artists discovered it, it was standing empty. Max Ernst(dada and surrealism) and Nassan Gobran(sculpture) cultivated art here. This has been the impetus of the local art scene since 1961. It is the reason Sedona is an art haven today.
